~Grace~
After what feels like an eternity, Bruno finally straightens. His movements are graceful, as if my clumsy fall hadn't disrupted him at all. He rises to his full height effortlessly and drops Liam gently on the bed. Without a word, he walks towards the bathroom.
I watch as he moves, and it is only when he reaches for the hem of his shirt, pulling it over his head in one smooth motion, that I realize what he is about to do. The door separating the bathroom from the room is very much transparent and unless he's doing this intentionally, he forgot to put the blinds down.
My face flushes a deeper red. Before he can fully strip, I hurry out of the room.
The day unfolds in the same muted rhythm, each second dragging on as if time itself has slowed to a crawl. I sit hunched at the kitchen with Kate, helping her out with the hopes that she will fix a meeting with Ma Cherry for me.
