I. The Ancient Origin (7 Billion Years Ago)
Long before the era of humanity, the universe was ruled by two primordial beings: Arata and Kozumi. They fought a catastrophic war using the Eyesv, dual cosmic blades of destruction and creation. When their powers collided, the blades shattered, and the world was reset. For seven billion years, the shards of the Eyesv lay dormant deep within the Earth, waiting for a worthy successor.
II. The Awakening of 2018
In the year 2018, the Earth "remembered" its ancient past. Mysterious "Gates" opened across the globe, and humanity was granted the Modern System—a digital interface that gave people Ranks (from F to SSS+) and elemental powers. However, these powers were merely weak echoes of the original Ancestral energy.
III. The Struggle of Ryuu (2020)
By 2020, 18-year-old Ryuu is living a life of hardship. Known as the "Weakest Hunter in the World" (F-Rank), he works dangerous construction jobs to support his younger brother, Kaito (13), and pay for his mother's treatment for the incurable "10,000-Mana Disease." While the rich hunters live in luxury, Ryuu returns home every day covered in blood and bruises, fueled only by his love for his family.
IV. The Trial of the Three Gods
Desperate for money, Ryuu joins a raid led by a B-Rank hunter. They discover a hidden "Double-Gate" and enter a temple belonging to the era of Arata and Kozumi. Inside, they find three massive God Statues and a knight guarding a stone book. The leader reads the ancient rules:
Trust only the Gods.
Show your trust through sacrifice.
Chaos erupts. Hunters who try to flee are slaughtered instantly—one is crushed by a giant hammer, and another is sliced into 100 pieces by a Knight Statue. Ryuu realizes these monsters are far beyond D-Rank or even S-Rank.
V. The Ultimate Sacrifice
Three gates appear, surrounded by Purple Flames. As hunters panic and run toward "fake" exits, they are killed, and the flames extinguish, allowing the Knight Statues to move closer. Ryuu's friend Asuka faints from terror. Ryuu makes a choice: he orders the Leader to carry Asuka to the true exit while he stays behind to hold the circle.
Alone and broken, Ryuu is brutally attacked. As the Knight cuts his legs and hands, Ryuu screams at the heavens:
"Why do the rich get everything while we get nothing? I don't want to die! I want my mom to be well! I want my brother to have a future! Give me one more chance!"
VI. The Birth of the Ancestral Hunter
As the last purple flame dies, Ryuu is pulled into a Golden Sub-Dimension. The spirits of the ancient gods see his heart and his blood. The System announces: [Ancestral System Initialized. Modern Ranks Deleted.]
