Chapter 15 - Epilogue: A New Beginning

Six months later, the Unbound had grown to over a hundred members. Humans with latent magical talent, supernatural beings rejected by their factions, and individuals who simply refused to accept the traditional power structure. They trained under Dean's guidance, learning his techniques, understanding his philosophy.

Dean had also established a school, a place where anyone with the determination to become strong could learn, regardless of their background or natural abilities. The school was hidden from human perception, protected by runes carved by Dean himself. It became a beacon of hope for those who'd been left behind by the established system.

Takeshi had retired from active teaching, content to advise Dean from the background. Shizuka had joined the Unbound as an official instructor, teaching witchcraft to the next generation. And Ophis... Ophis had simply disappeared, satisfied that her entertainment had borne fruit.

But the most important change was in Dean himself.

He still trained relentlessly, still pushed himself to new limits. But he'd learned to balance his ambition with compassion. He understood now that true strength wasn't just about power, but about the ability to protect and inspire others.

One evening, as Dean stood on the roof of the school overlooking the city, Issei joined him.

"Thinking about the future?" his younger brother asked.

"Always," Dean replied. "There's still so much to learn, so much to do. The supernatural world is changing, and I want to make sure the Unbound are ready for whatever comes next."

"You know," Issei said thoughtfully, "when you first woke up in that hospital, I never thought you'd become this. I thought you'd just accept that you didn't have a Sacred Gear and move on with your life."

"So did I," Dean admitted. "But then I realized something. I was reborn into this world for a reason. Not because fate chose me, but because I had the chance to choose my own destiny. And I chose to become strong."

He looked at his younger brother with a slight smile. "And I chose to protect you while doing it."

Issei laughed. "Yeah, well, you're doing a pretty good job of that."

As they stood together on the roof, watching the city lights twinkle below them, Dean felt a sense of peace. He'd come a long way from the confused young man who'd woken up in a hospital bed, reborn into a world he didn't understand.

Now, he was a leader, a teacher, a symbol of what was possible when you refused to accept limitations.

The supernatural world would never be the same. And Dean Hyoudou wouldn't have it any other way.
