Strangers Who Know Everything About Each Other. By Jatin Manhas. Love is strange — sometimes the right person comes at the wrong time, and sometimes the timing is perfect but the person is not. Sam is a brilliant yet introverted teenager growing up in New York. Raised by his father after losing his mother in a tragic plane crash, he builds walls around his heart and chooses silence over connection. Focused only on his studies and his small world, Sam believes he doesn’t need anyone else. Everything changes the day Stela joins his class. Stela is cheerful, confident, and full of life — completely opposite to Sam. When fate makes her sit beside him, two strangers begin a journey neither of them expected. What starts with awkward conversations and misunderstandings slowly turns into friendship. Late-night chats, shared secrets, and quiet support bring them closer than they ever imagined. They become strangers who somehow know everything about each other. But life is never simple. As feelings grow deeper, challenges, timing, and circumstances begin to test their bond. Will their connection survive the realities of life, or will they become just another story of love that came at the wrong time? This is a heartfelt story of friendship, young love, loss, healing, and the beautiful pain of growing up — a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful relationships begin with two strangers sitting side by side...

Chapter 1 - From Strangers to Friends

Love is strange. Sometimes when the right person comes into your life, the timing is wrong. And when the timing is right, the person turns out to be wrong.

This is a similar story about Sam.

Sam was born on 9 February 1990 in New York. He belonged to a middle-class family. His father, Mark John, was a teacher. His mother died in a plane crash that was traveling from Tokyo to New York. Despite this tragic loss, his father never let him feel the absence of his mother. Still, such a loss always leaves an impact on a child. Because of this, Sam became very introverted.

At the age of 15, he was studying in 10th grade at the same school where his father taught. He was counted among the brilliant students. He always topped his class, and teachers often gave his example to other students.

When the 10th grade results were announced, Sam scored 95 percent. Everyone told him it was an excellent percentage, but he was not satisfied. He believed he deserved even better because he had worked extremely hard throughout the year. However, he never listened to anyone's praise.

After that, he moved to 11th standard. He became even quieter than before. Almost two weeks had passed, and the entire class was full except for one seat — the seat next to Sam. He did not have many friends, and he did not even try to make any. He lived in his own world. For him, only his father and his own thoughts mattered.

On the 15th day of the session, Sam went to class and sat alone as usual, lost in his thoughts. He had no idea that this day would change his life.

During the second period, the school principal entered the classroom with a girl. Her name was Stela. The principal introduced her to the class and then asked her to sit next to Sam. This was the first time in five years that someone had sat beside him. The last time he had shared a seat was in 6th grade, before his friend moved to another city with his parents. Since then, he had always been alone.

Stela was the only child of her parents. She was very cheerful, mischievous, and beautiful. She was born on 12 October 1990 in New York. Her father, Edward Son, was a police officer with a good position, and her mother, Elen, was a housewife.

Since childhood, Stela had been a little stubborn. Whenever she wanted something, she would somehow manage to get it.

When she sat beside Sam, she excitedly asked his name. It was her first time sitting next to a boy. Sam replied dryly, "Sam," and then turned his face toward the window. Stela felt hurt by his cold response.

However, she was very extroverted and did not give up easily. She continued talking to him for many days. Sam would answer her questions, but without any smile or interest. He never asked her anything in return.

Finally, one day, Stela lost her patience. She said angrily, "Do you have a problem? I talk to you so nicely, but you can't even respond properly. What is wrong with you?"

After that, she stopped talking to him. This affected Sam deeply. For the first time, he started feeling guilty.

The next day, Sam spoke to her and apologized for his behavior. He said, "I am just like this. I don't feel comfortable talking to anyone." Stela realized that some people are naturally reserved. She also apologized for reacting harshly.

After that day, things began to change. They started talking daily. Sometimes they helped each other with homework. Sometimes they explained difficult concepts to one another. By the end of the year, they had become good friends.

They began chatting regularly and talking on calls. Slowly, they became comfortable with each other. They started sharing their secrets and personal feelings.

And then, their exams began and they were worried about it.....…
