Awakening

Isabella eye lashes flutters frantically in pain and panic, trying to open her eyes. It took her a while to adapt to her new environment, feeling as though she as walked through a thousand years at once. She raised her hand to block the sunlight directed at her face, and it dawned on her that she was connected to an IV drip.

This jolted her awake instantly; she felt a slight headache, wincing and groaning memories of the past come rushing in. She couldn't help wondering how foolish she must have been to let go of the only hand willing to walk through that desolate darkness with her. Her delicate face reflected the pain and heartache the memory brought her.

Feeling the discomfort in her chest, she moaned, trying to ease herself of the pain. This alerted the young man resting beside her hospital bed, even though he had heavy eye bags, showing how extremely tired he was.

He became fully awake the moment he noticed the person on the bed move; with worry all over his face, he rushed to her side with all sorts of questions on his lips; Are you okay? Do you feel any discomfort anywhere? Would you like me to get the doctor? He was so anxious that he didn't even notice he gave her no chance of replying. Although he tried to maintain his facade of a tough and cold person, the shaking of both his hands and voice betrays his emotions.

Meeting the anxious gaze of the young man, Isabella stared fixedly at him, and a word appeared in her mind: "Louis. A single tear rolled down her face; thinking about the pain this man had gone through for her in her past life made her want to slap her own face and pull her hair. Why is she so blind towards that deep hidden love? Is she really that gullible, or is she that easy to manipulate?

Her tear-stricken face filled the man with so much worry that he didn't know what to do or say; he kept asking himself what could have gone wrong in the span of a minute after she woke up.

She seems to want to talk, but opening her mouth, she couldn't make any sound but could only point her hands at the water dispenser, indicating him to give her water to moisturise throat.

She couldn't and didn't bother to hide the intensity of heartache she's feeling, the self blame that wrack her being. Knowing what she had missed as a result of her behaviour leave a bitter taste in her mouth she kept staring at the only man that love her more than life itself.

You know it's funny how she had to go through two life before she could see the love that is so clear under that cold sparkling eyes but then again who could blame her the man has always being the best at hiding his own feeling or anything regarding his emotions.

He would rather live with an unreciprocated love than burden her with that immense feeling, even now he's still very good at hiding behind that stupid coldness of his, yet under that facade is a man that would go far and beyond just to make her happy doesn't matter if she's too blind to see, doesn't matter if she kept treating him badly, doesn't matter when she avoid him that he pesters her a lot.

Who would have known that those side of him she took in what's all facade and the real deal stay underneath a properly guided wounded heart, a heart she inflict pain upon without knowing, a heart that yearn to love and be love by her.

But thank goodness nature decided to give her a second chance, heaven knew that at the very last moment of her past life when that bitch of a person reveal every tiny details of what she has missed and overlook to the other person both mocking her behind her back.

It had took every ounce of her power not to come out and pounce on them tearing that fake love from their faces but now she thank goodness she had held it in cause now that there's a second chance she'll make sure to inflict and return every pain, trick and betrayal threw her way to them in thousand folds.
