Me and the trio behind me eventually able to find our seats at one of the corner of the cafeteria as we finally sat down in our seats and finally able to began our feast.
I glance to my right side, seeing as Kolibri is enjoying her food very happily, with each spoon of beef goulash made her grin wide across her lips.
Gosh, such an innocent little girl!
... Minus the fact that she's a civilian Doll that's been modified into a Tactical Doll by the PMC to fight some crazy ass rogue Dolls of a crazy ass rogue manufacturing company.
I then glance to my left side, seeing as Fedorov calmly took a bite of her spoon of egg porridge that's been mixed together with some beef goulash borrowed from Kolibri's tray.
Ever since my first day, those two have paired quite rather nicely with each other, always covering each others back like their lives depends on it, even if it doesn't seemed like it right now. Are they always like this? Since how long?
Setting those thoughts aside, I took a big bite of my own beef sandwich after taking off my gloves and setting them inside my coat pocket, chewing it momentarily, before gulping it all down with a big sip of my cup of tea on my tray.
After placing my sandwich down, I stare up towards my front, noticing the blue-eyed young man sitting across me seemingly having a hard time handling something in his hand that I did not expect to have ever lay my eyes on while my hand went to grab my cup of tea on my tray to take a sip on it.
For a moment, I narrow my eyes to focus.
' Is He... '
Then, upon a closer look, my eyes slowly widen in shock.
...
He's... Having a hard time handling the metal spoon in his hand.
...
' A spoon?? '
I thought for a moment before it was cut short by the murmuring voice of the young man sitting across.
"How do I... Is this how you use this..?"
The young man murmurs to himself that I managed to pick up as He constantly re-adjust the position of the spoon in his right hand while frantically glances up towards Fedorov and Kolibri from the way both of them handle their spoon.
For a brief moment, I could've swore that I almost spit out my tea that I just took a sip on, in shock by whatever the blyat am I seeing in front of me!
Just what exactly is going on with this guy, seriously!
I looked around for a moment.
There were still some peering eyes looking at our location.
Among those were MDR, who's peeking towards us behind her seat along with several other T-Dolls.
When MDR finally saw me, she gave me a goofy smile and a thumbs up at me behind her seat soon after.
Seeing this, I narrowed my eyes at the peeking heterochromia T-Doll with a form of 'Really?😑' vibe stare before I let out a sigh of acceptance towards MDR as a response.
' At least that phone-addict told the rest of the girls to do and understood exactly what I told them to do. '
I thought for a moment as I finally return my eyes back towards the young man across from me.
Slowly, I swallow the tea that's been sitting in my mouth for a moment, gulping it all down my throat before finally letting out a long, slow exhale.
Gently placing my cup down onto my tray, I finally open my mouth.
"... Sir?"
I called out to him with a relatively calm voice, somehow managing to suppress the initial shock I've felt earlier.
The young man quickly shook up and stare up towards me with a surprised expression across his youthful face momentarily, visibly startled upon hearing my voice calling out to him.
"Ah-! Y-yes Miss?"
He nervously answers, looking straight at me with nervous eyes.
I slightly narrowed my eyes, making direct stare at his eyes before asking.
"Are you alright there, Sir?"
I asked the young man sitting across in front of me with a raised eyebrow, both curious and bewildered.
"Oh! Umm-"
He momentarily fumble with the spoon in his hand before He finally handling it in a correct position.
"Yes! I-I'm alright now! A-at least..."
He said to her before a sweat quickly drizzle from his temple.
Hearing that, I momentarily stare at him with a bewilded look across my face. My eyes locked onto his with my eyebrow raised and my lips flat.
I stayed like that for a moment as thoughts flood my mind like swarms before I quickly snapped out of it, grabbing onto my cup of tea and raising it to my lips, taking a big sip of the warm dark brown liquid in the cup.
Placing my cup back down again, I looked back towards the young man across me, with my face now dissolved back to a much more calm expression despite the growing turmoil deep inside me.
"Are you truly certain that you're alright?"
I asked, skeptical as I slightly lean my head closer forward him, resting both of my arms together onto the table.
The young man stare down at the table for a moment, looking down at his own hand and then down at his own tray before looking back up to me.
"I... Maybe?"
He said with a somewhat confused expression across his youthful face as He stares nervous towards my eyes.
"W-when I woke up, I didn't feel anything odd, bad, or... Anything as such."
He added. His voice torn between uncertainty and confusion.
"I see..."
I said as I narrowed my eyes once again at him in suspicion.
Just then, I let a long sigh escaped my nostril, my eyes softens as I lean myself back from him and onto the back in my seat, reaching my hand forward to grab my cup of tea from my tray.
As I hold the cup up to my lips, I glance down the cup, seeing it half empty as I then stare down at the dark brown liquid within my cup, slowly spacing myself out as I finally let my thoughts flood into my mind at that moment while glancing up from my cup and towards the young man once more.
' No sign of anything significant or extraordinary about him so far. '
I thought, taking mental notes as I lock my eyes towards the young man while I finally go on to have a sip of my tea.
' ... Aside from him not knowing how to use the damn spoon..! '
I thoughtfully added.
.
' Woke up so suddenly and little to no warning, acting all amnesiatic, shy and rambling about things earlier. Yet my Dolls found you in the middle of the abandoned city of Sector-twelve, dressed almost like a scavenger, with a group of ELID chasing you out of a building and managed to came out almost unscathed right after. '
...
...
' As much as I wanted to believe you, that sounded almost like a bull of nonsense. '
I thought, feeling a bit skeptical.
' But... '
I pauses for a moment, then, I finally took a last sip of my tea and slowly lowers the cup from my lips, letting out a conflicted sigh soon after.
...
' My guts kept saying that you're genuinely telling the truth... '

"-How's He doing?"
Anastasia asked, with a slight mixed of curiosity and concern in her voice and across her face as she stared down at the hospital bed, where the unconscious body of a young man lies motionless on his back in the bed with a blue blanket covering him, as well as his arm being connected to a heart monitor beside the bed that lets out a consistent sound of beeping across the room.
"He is stable."
A firm, serious voice of a man answered her with quite a fluent English, though with a subtle hint of French accent in his mature tone.
Sitting across from her was a man seemingly around his mid-40's, who's dressed in a long white coat, with an ID card pinned on the coat's breast pocket which display the distinctive G&K insignia, the stern face of the man on in, along with a name that is distinctively says 'Clément'.
He has a dark long hair with some ash-gray streaks, tired yet sharp looking yellow eyes, and a dark pencil mustache.
The man in the long white coat was sitting beside the bed on a wooden chair, glancing into the screen of the tablet in his hand before staring up towards her with his sharp firm eyes.
"No sign of any severe physical trauma in my current assessment, aside from visible light bruises on his knee and on his chest."
He told her, with a serious, mature voice.
"-Those which are caused by self-harm of him leaping down onto the hard concrete ground judging by the drone shot recordings you've provided to me, and combined with the words from your Dolls during their patrol at the abandoned city."
The man continues while He goes to ran his other hand through his own long dark hair for a brief moment.
Anastasia continue to stare down at the unconscious young man on the bed with a firm expression, silently listening to the man's explanation for a moment before she goes to rub her own chin with her gloved fingers.
"And how long do you think it'll take until He finally got up?"
She finally asked.
The man in the white coat narrowed his eyes for a moment before responding.
"I am not guaranteed certain as to how long it will take until He finally regain back his consciousness from his seemingly unconscious state Commander."
The man firmly said.
"However-"
The man slowly stands up from his seat.
"There is something that I would like to point out that is certainly noteworthy of your attention, Commander. If you may come over and have a look."
The man said as He gesture to her with his hand to come over while his other hand still occupied with the tablet.
Anastasia raised her eyebrow for a moment as she made her way around the bed.
"Oh?"
She let out as she come over to the man's side.
"What is it Doc?"
She asked, curious as she goes to cross her arms together once more.
The man turned to face the G&K Commander as He then handed the tablet to her, enough to show her what's on the screen of the tablet.
When she looked at the tablet screen, it shows a heartbeat monitoring system along with tons of words and tons of medical related stuff that are too advanced for her brain to comprehend.
' God, Damn! '
That is her first thought upon looking at the tablet screen as she slightly narrows her eyes, as if being blinded by the displayed wall of texts.
' Just how exactly does these people do these and still able to understand these sort of things while continue shoving their brains with knowledge beyond the average person?? '
She thought for a moment.
" ... Commander, you're spacing out."
The man beside her said firmly, staring at her with narrowed sharp eyes.
Anastasia briefly shakes her head, quickly snapping herself back to reality and refocus her attention back towards him.
"-Oh, I-I'm sorry Doc! What were you saying again?"
She asked him with a nervous chuckle.
...
The man narrowed his sharp eyes at her with disapproval, as if He is silently contemplating his life choices of working with such an airhead person who's ranked way above him.
Feeling the weight under his eyes, a sweat quickly grew on her temple beneath her beret as she frantically goes to adjust her glasses on the tip of her nose.
...
-----------------------------------------------------------
Clément : ಠ_ಠ ? ?
Anastasia: (• ▽ •;)
-----------------------------------------------------------
...
*Ahem*
The man clears his throat momentarily.
"Anyways,"
The man finally spoke.
"What I've said earlier, is that I wanted to point out something that is certainly noteworthy of your attention, Commander."
The man firmly said, this time much more serious, leaving no more room for more nonsense.
Hearing the man's change in tone, Anastasia, for once, reshape her face to a more poised facade, her lips flat and her posture straighten.
"And that is..?"
She calmly asked.
Hearing her question, the man briefly nods at her before shift his eyes onto the tablet screen and point at the heart-rate monitoring system with the index finger of other hand.
"As you see, this monitoring system on my tablet is connected to the heart-rate monitor, in which connected to his wrist."
He firmly explained as He continues.
"Currently it shows that his heart-rate is sitting at a consistent rate of around seventy beats-per-minute."
He said.
And indeed, the tablet screen shows the heart-rate monitoring system picking up a consistent rate of around 70 BPM.
"Around seventy beats Huh..."
She repeated his word.
"What about it?"
She asked him once more.
The man let out a small scoff.
"Pay attention."
He vaguely said to her.
Anastasia raises her eyebrow by his words for a moment before she simply just do as He told her.

[ 0 BPM ]
Anastasia's thoughts was cut short.
' ! '
Her body quickly jumped.
"-WHAT THE BLYAT!?"
She yelled at the tablet screen with both her eyes and mouth widen in shock as her poised facade earlier immediately disappeared as fast as someone's dad going out to find milk.
It was no doubt that it is unlike anything that she have ever seen before, so much so that it felt almost surreal to her.
But could you really blame her for it? Seeing a heart rate of a person went from a consistent rate of 70 BPM, to immediately jump down to zero with seemingly no particular reason is not something you'd see everyday.
She looked at the man beside, only to see him let out a tiring sigh and running his hand through his hair.
She open her mouth to say something, only for the man to cut her off with his.
"I know what you are about to ask, Commander."
The man firmly said as He finally puts down the tablet.
"But I could only answer you this, that even I am equally as confused as you are here. As much as I hate to admit it..."
He said with a subtle hint of perplexion, admitting to his lack of understanding of the current perplexed situation at hand.
Anastasia goes to scratch the side of her neck.
"I-isn't He just like, dead?!"
She frantically asked the man directly.
The man let out a tiring sigh again from his nostril.
"That is the neat part Commander; He's not."
He firmly said as He then raises his tablet again, showing the screen back to her again.
Anastasia went to stare back towards the screen again, and when she does, her eyes went narrow for a moment before her eyes goes wide once more.
"Huhh??"
She let out, this time more perplexed.
[ 70 BPM ]
. . .
*Beep...*
[ 70 BPM ]
...
"It... Went back to normal..?"
She said with uncertainty as she slowly narrowed her eyes at the tablet screen, as if expecting it to plummet to zero any time soon.
"It did,"
The man beside her answered.
"And it would do it again within..."
The man pauses for a moment before He decided to shrug his shoulders.
"Who knows?"
The man vaguely finishes as He went to cross his arms together and rest them against his chest.
Anastasia went silent for a moment, with thoughts quickly flood through her mind with many possibilities and wild theories all at once, before she finally decided to raise another question.
"... How long has it been like that?"
She asked him, curious and nervous.
The man looked down at the unconscious young man's left arm, in which where a set of
"The moment I connected him to the heart monitor, and connected the heart monitor into my tablet."
The man firmly answered.
It was probably the few easiest one to answer compared to the things going on as of the current situation that hand.
"So that was like what... A half an hour ago?"
She said as
The man firmly nods at her.
"That is not the only thing I wanted you see."
The man suddenly said, putting down his tablet and tugging it down beneath his white coat.
Anastasia looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Another one?"
She asked.
"Yup."
The man answered her as He slowly lower himself back into his wooden seat.
He pointed his index finger towards the unconscious young man in the bed, more specifically, at the young man's neck.
"I want you check his pulse for yourself. If you're willing to, Commander."
He vaguely said to her, gesturing her a
She raises her eyebrow once again with a puzzled look across her face.
"Okay..?"
She simply complied as she steps closer to the hospital bed while the man watches her from his seat with a sharp firm gaze.
Slowly, she lean herself down to the unconscious young man, reaching her gloved hand down before finally pressing her fingers firmly on the side of the young man's neck just under the jawline.
"Hm..?"
She hummed.
She felt a rather strange sensation in her gloved fingers upon making contact with the young man's skin.
His skin didn't felt warm, and his skin felt quite odd.
While it mostly felt relatively soft as you may expect from a normal human tissue beneath skin, it had a strange subtle hint of as if there's something hard buried beneath the skin.
Nevertheless, she silently took notes of it as she let her fingers stay.
She waits.
...
...
And then, she quickly leans back from the young man, retracting back her fingers from his neck as she stare down at the unconscious body, with her eyes widening in shock once more.
"H-holy shit..."
She quietly curses as she slowly raise her gloved hand to her mouth.
"H-he has no pulse..!"

The automatic doors opened to the side with a faint hiss as I frantically entered the command room.
"-OH! C-commander! It's you!"
A familiar voice spoke out to me from across the room, who's currently sitting on my office chair with my tablet still in her hand after all this time.
"Kalina-!"
I called out to her as I made my way across the room to her.
"My tablet, please-!"
I requested.
Kalina nods at me as she quickly stood up from the office chair.
"Copy!"
She quickly complied, handing my tablet towards me.
I eventually made it to her, grabbing my tablet from her hand as I quickly turned on the tablet and presses onto an green colored message-bubble-shaped application.
"Oh- and Commander, I've just received a message from HQ that yet another set of convoy filled with supplies is heading their way to our base within around midnight."
Kalina informed me, grabbing her personal tablet that she had place on the wide table.
"Yeah, heard it from Carlton about the convoy."
I said while I began to type frantically on my tablet screen.

[Clément]
"The burden of being the only competent healer in Sector-12"

Me: DOC!! HE WOKE UP!!!
Me: 😱😱😰
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Oh-! Also, may I know why HQ have told us now that there's another convoy heading our base?"
I asked the cheerful logistics officer while glancing up towards her for an answer as my eyes are focused onto my tablet screen.
Kalina wipes a sweat from her forehead as she looked into her personal tablet in her hand.
"Because of the sector's increasingly harsh weather this night and our location quite rather far from the HQ, our connection with HQ has been rather down lately, which is why there's a noticable delay with their message."
Kalina explained to me.
"AH- Of course its the damn weather!"
I yelled out as I briefly raise my hand to pinch the tip of my nose before re-adjusting my glasses on it soon after as I finally saw Clément sent a message to me.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Clément: I'm aware. Just saw the patient room's live CCTV footage and my monitoring system losing connection to the heart monitor.
Me: I DIDN'T EXPECT NOR PREPARED FOR HIM TO WOKE UP SO EARLY. WHAT DO WE DO??
Clément: Stay calm Commander, be kind, be yourself, and appear as oblivious around him for now. I suggest telling your Dolls or the other staffs about him and to act oblivious or as normal as possible around him.
-----------------------------------------------------------
"Oh! And I've also managed to make contact with the convoy via my tablet, said that their signals were briefly cut off by the weather during their expedition crossing the sector's border."
Kalina added.
Hearing that, I looked up to her to nod at her before turning back towards my screen.
"Alright, got it."
I quickly answers as I turned around and began to walk my way out of the command room.
"If there's any other stuff to tell me, do it later,"
I said to Kalina, glancing back at her from my shoulder.
"Because I have someone to deal with right now."
I finished as I finally walk out of the command room, momentarily hearing Kalina yelled out 'Yes Commander!' behind me before the automatic doors finally closes shut behind me.
Making my way back to the group, I looked down at my tablet once more.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Me: So we do not want to provoke him, that's what you mean?
Clément: Precisely.
Clément: Especially if He does has an amnesiatic symptom to began with. Emphasis on 'If'.
Clément: As for if He truly has it? I'm afraid I have to hand that task to you Commander.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I raises my eyebrow.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Me: Why? Why can't you? Your the one who checked and assess him
Clément: Because I've also been caught off-guard by his sudden gain of consciousness when I was checking and prepping my equipment at my office, equipment for me to further assess him.
Clément: Since I cannot do that now that he's awake, and since I'm still occupied in prepping my equipment, I'm afraid my hands are tied. Thus why I handed out the task to you.
Clément: You're also the only one I could place my trust on, Commander. After all, You're the one in charge of this entire base.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I pauses for a moment after reading his recent message before I let out a long tiring sigh, my lips flat as I finally type;
-----------------------------------------------------------
Me: Okay. I won't disappoint you Doc
Clément: Merci, Commandant. I knew that I could place my trust in you. Apology if its sounds burdensome for you to have someone count on you, even for your position.
[Auto translation: Thank you, Commander. I knew that I could place my trust in you. Apology if its sounds burdensome for you to have someone count on you, even for your position.]
-----------------------------------------------------------
Seeing the message, my lips arched into a smile.
Yet... I don't feel joy by it.
If anything--
-----------------------------------------------------------
Clément: Even if you may came off a bit idiotic at times.
-----------------------------------------------------------
...
My eyes violently twitches along my my smile upon reading his new message.
I violently typed.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Me: You didn't have to do that to me like that Doc... 😊💢
Clément: Merely being honest with you Commander. My lying skills aren't that great.
Clément: And merely stating the fact.
-----------------------------------------------------------
' This blya- '
I quickly shook my head around for a moment.
' Nevermind! I have something more to worry about-! '
I typed.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Me: Anyway, I'mma go tell MDR about this and tell her exactly what you suggested
Clément: Do it. I will be at my office to do my things while you do your.
Clément: Best of luck Commander.
Me: You too
-----------------------------------------------------------
I let out a sigh as I quickly exiting from his chat before pressing onto MDR's account, entering her chat.
-----------------------------------------------------------
[MDR]
"If you have any exciting rumors/tea, sent it to this account in Grifchan by clicking on this link here! [Insert Link name here]"
===============================
Me: MDR! Its me!
MDR: Yooo Commander! What up!
MDR: I'm chillin with the others at the cafeteria. The foods are bussin as usual. What's the urgency btw?
Me: HE'S AWAKE!!
MDR: Huh? Who's awake??
Me: Remember the unconscious dude you saw that Echelon 1 have brought in into the base across the main hall just hours ago?
MDR: OHHH the one with the brown hair and semi pale skin? Him?
Me: Who else?!
MDR: OH Shit is He!? (Sorry i just spilled my water)
Me: Yeah! Just suddenly decided to woke up, caught me off guard, and now I have Kolibri and Fedorov guarding just in case.
MDR: Did you tell anyone about it??
Me: Just had a chat with Clément. He suggests that you, the girls, and the others to act as normal or as oblivious as possible. Idk just act like he's some dude with amnesia cuz he's literally acting like one
MDR: Alr alr chill with the yap. I'll tell em about this
Me: Alright thanks! See you at the cafeteria
MDR: cya!
-----------------------------------------------------------
I finally let out yet another long sigh, though this time much more satisfied.
' Okay... That's been dealt with. '
I thought as I finally walk out of the hallway and back in the main hall, where I saw the group and 2 of the logistics worker were still there, seemingly having a conversation with another.
' Continue with the act, Anastasia. '
I thought to myself before I finally made my way to them

' Woah..! '
That was my first thought the moment I took a spoonful of my food into my mouth.
' This is amazing-! '
I thoughtfully said as I quickly went to have another spoonful of my food.
I... Have no idea what I'm eating right now, but it tasted incredible!
The food on my tray is similar to Kolibri's food, which is named 'beef goulash' according to what the chef said to me earlier.
---
[Flashback]
---
"-Uhm... What is 'beef goulash'..?"
The middle-aged chef raises his eyebrow.
"Oh- Haha! To put it simply for you Young man; beef goulash is a hearty, rich, and savory stew that contains-
---
' 'A hearty, rich, savory stew that contains a tender chunks of beef and slow-cooked with vegetables and heavily seasoned with paprika'... '
I thoughtfully and precisely repeat of what the chef told me.
... That's it..! That's the word!
The food, it tasted hearty, rich, and savory!
The meat, it tasted rich and tender in my mouth, and then the seasoning, the 'paprika'? I supposed I tasted it as well. Even though I do not know what it is or what it looks like.
I then took yet another spoonful of the beef goulash, savoring it in my mouth before swallowing it down into my throat.
"Hm..."
I quietly hum as my eyes landed onto a cup that's been sitting on my tray for a while.
Curious, I grabbed the cup up from the tray by the handle before inspecting it.
' What is this? '
I thought, perplexed.
The liquid inside the cup is dark. Which is quite ominous for some reason, yet... It has a rather... Pleasant smell to it..?
I move the cup closer to my nose before taking a good sniff of the aroma.
' Smells... Good. '
Then I went to take a sip of it.
*Slurp-*
' ! '
... I quickly spit it out onto the floor beneath me.
"-Sir??"
Anastasia calls out to me, surprised and concerned.
"HMM-!"
Kolibri quickly hummed out with her mouth filled with food.
"Sir-!"
Fedorov called out to me, managing to take a glance up at as I saw her quickly shoot up from her seat and made her way around the table.
For a moment, I let out a heavy cough a few time before I managed to say;
"I-its... Bitter..!"
I spat out, unpleasant and disgusted as I slowly placing down the cup in my tray before wiping my lips with the back of my hand.
Just what the hell did I just tasted??
Despite its smell, it tasted... Bitter! Or whatever I just spat out just now. Whatever it was, I'm disgusted of it.
Hearing my words, they seemed to calmed down pretty quickly.
I saw Anastasia let out a sigh of relief while Kolibri finally swallow down her food. Though Fedorov in the other hand still remain beside me.
I stare towards Anastasia, who seemed to rub her nose for a moment before she opened her mouth.
"Let me guess... It's coffee was it?"
She asked me, though it sounded like she already knew the answer to it.
But nevertheless, I spoke.
"I-I think..?"
I answered her as I narrowed my eyes in disgust, still tasting the bitterness in my mouth that the dark liquid have left behind.
"I-it taste bitter..! I-I don't like it."
I added.
For a moment, a small amused smirk appear across her lips.
"Not a coffee type person are you?"
She asked me.
"I-"
I paused for a moment when I saw her stood up, grabbing the cup from my tray before placing it into hers and lower herself back down into her seat.
"Sorry, no need to answer that. I think I already know the answer."
She then said to me before letting out a brief giggle.
I raised my eyebrow for a moment.
"O-okay."
I said to her.
I then see her turned her head to Kolibri.
"Kolibri, can you bring him a glass of water from Max please?"
Anastasia calmly asked the small girl beside her.
Kolibri looked up from her tray and up towards Anastasia before giving her a wide smile.
"Okay!"
Kolibri complied as she quickly jump up from her seat and gave a quick salute to Anastasia.
"Kolibri on her way to deliver some water Commander!"
With that, Kolibri left shortly after.
"There she goes."
Anastasia said before letting out a giggle, amused and joyful of Kolibri.
She then turned her attention towards Fedorov.
"Fedorov, come back here and enjoy your meal."
She said to her.
Hearing this, Fedorov let out a firm him, glancing back at me for a moment before finally returning to her seat.
After that, she turned her attention to me before asking;
"So~? How's the food?"
She asked.
My eyes briefly widen before I form a smile on my lips.
"Amazing!"
I said.
She smiles.
"Good to hear. Though you should probably say that to Max, the chef from earlier. Trust me, He could make it even more amazing the next time you eat one of his cookings."
She said to me.
Hearing that, I let out a small chuckle.
"Really?"
I asked.
"I'm serious-! You'll see it for yourself."
She answered as she grab the same cup that she took from my stay before taking a good sip of it.
"... Huh."
She lets out, raising an eyebrow at the cup in her hand.
"This... Does tasted more bitter than usual."
She calmly said before taking another sip of it, as if making sure that she's tasting it correctly.
"More... Than usual?"
I asked, confused.
'More usual'? Does that mean that the 'coffee' that I tasted from that cup is not meant to be that as bitter?
"Yep. Its definitely more bitter than usual."
She quickly confirms it.
"Maybe Max put an extra bit of Expresso to it because of the upcoming midnight shift for the staff workers."
She quickly guesses as she place down the cup onto her tray.
'Expresso'..? 'Midnight shift'?
These... New words are making my head twitch.
...
Oh right-!
I have some questions that I needed to ask her about!
I briefly cleared my throat for a moment.
"-Uh, Miss Anasta..?"
I called out to her.
"Oh?"
She responded, her eyes glances up towards me with curiosity.
"You called?"
She asked
"Y-yes."
I confirmed, nodding my head to her.
"There is... Something I would like to ask you about... Ever since I woke up from that bed earlier."
I calmly said, scratching the back of my neck with my hand.
"Uh huh..."
She said, crossing her arms together on the table.
"And that would be?"
At a moment, a nervous feeling quickly spread within me for some reason, as if whatever I'm about to ask is about to stir...
Ah- forget it. These questions have been bothering me for far too long. What's the worst thing that could happened to me?
Beside, I'm just curious. So... I'm sure it won't hurt to try... Right?
With that being said, I finally opened my mouth.
"W-what is a T-Doll?"
...
...
The... Chatters across the Cafeteria slowly goes quiet the moment I asked that question.
I watch as Anastasia eyes widen in surprised while Fedorov beside her, for once, looked up towards me with a raised eyebrow.
I quickly glanced around the surroundings for a moment, seeing how a few people looked their way towards our seats. Among them was a girl with a rather unique looking eyes staring at me with her hand held onto something and her mouth being wide open.
...
"Did I... Said something... Wrong..?"
I nervous asked as sweat began to form across my face while I looked around for any answers.
...
Then, Anastasia finally spoke.
"... What the Blyat."

Author's note
Greetings readers!
I'm finally back to with another long chapter.
This chapter was meant to part of chapter 9, but there were some change of plan and some scrapped plans and stuff.
Don't know what to say here to be honest.
Oh YEAH! This!

(Made this in Ibis Paint X. Took me a few days, a few chip of my sanity, some caffeine, and some references.)
As you may have notice, I've made a new page cover!
I kind off didn't like the previous one as it didn't fit my vision. So I made a new one, and I have to say, I'm quite satisfied with it.
I won't go into any detail about the new page cover. Its up to your speculation and theory of what it really means.
Anyway, have a good day and praise the caffeine lord!!
