---

Neo looked at the bill while he headed out of the hospital.

Most of the bill was paid by this mysterious sponsor, but $10,000 was still due. Even this small amount was currently out of their reach to repay.

However, since he now had an infinite money-making ability, he wasn't too worried about the deadline.

Outside, a clear skyline welcomed him.

Tall skyscrapers rose like sentient columns of Earth. Flying vehicles of magnificent shapes and designs painted the sky bright and vivid.

Not to forget the massive virtual balloons that displayed breaking news, mostly containing the heroic achievements of Space Explorers.

The Chronopolis.

It was one of the major cities of the United Federation.

Everything looked flashy and flourishing at first glance, but beneath this mirage lay an ugly dark truth.

"This city hasn't changed..." he murmured as he was supported by his mother and sister toward a land taxi.

"Did you say something, brother?" Nina asked.

"I was saying everything is the same. The rich are getting richer, and the powerful are becoming more powerful. The poor and unfortunate ones are barely surviving under their feet."

Mrs. Godson raised an eyebrow, while Nina smiled playfully.

"Hehe, what's this? Do you want to become a Hero now?"

He shook his head after settling into his seat.

"No. To be a hero, you need a selfless heart, something I seriously lack. My only goal is to earn money and help you complete your dream."

"Then you're already a Hero in our eyes, brother. You have already sacrificed so much for us," she said, her eyes gentle as water.

The driver, a middle-aged man with a rough beard, laughed.

Then he started the car, taking the family of three to the western district.

After 30 minutes, they arrived before a massively tall building, about 30 stories high.

The building might look big, but it was old and unmaintained.

Severe green moss and earthquake cracks had formed in many sections.

Yet, despite the danger, it was home to approximately 30,000 people.

Yes, you heard it right. Housing prices had risen so high that ordinary people had to live in cage houses like this.

Neo exhaled a quiet sigh. The building was old and dangerous. Spending a second longer there was another step closer to the netherworld.

As such, he set his first priority to purchase a house for his family. Other things could wait.

After paying the taxi, his mother led them to their cage room on foot.

Inside, it was another survival ground.

People were screaming, babies were crying, and loud noises from televisions filled the air.

Somehow, they made it through.

Neo settled into a corner, lying flat on a thin blanket.

While his little sister and mother started preparing a meal, he examined the Aqua Core Flask again.

He wanted to sell it to buy more ordinary bottles and synthesize them in large amounts, effectively earning tons of money.

For that, he needed to recover enough to walk on his legs.

Unfortunately, there is no faster way to do that.

"Brother, here is your medicine. Take them after eating." Nina kneeled beside him, intending to give him the tablets.

Seeing the tablets, Neo's mind raced.

'What if I synthesize them? Will they result in some kind of miraculous medicine?'

Nina placed the tablets in his palm before standing up to help their mother with the meal.

Neo glanced at the two of them.

He trusted them, but revealing his power this early won't do them any good.

They were currently busy near the small cooking unit, their backs turned toward him. The cramped cage room left little privacy, but at the moment their attention was completely elsewhere.

As such, he slowly closed his fist around the tablets.

There were 4 cheap recovery tablets provided by the hospital. Nothing special.

But to him, they might become something else entirely.

Carefully, he changed his position so the blanket covered his hands.

Then he silently called the power of Universal Synthesis.

Almost immediately the same green glow gleamed between his fingers, hidden beneath the thin cloth.

The system window appeared next.

Neo's heart beat faster as the process headed to the next stage.

"Synthesize."

The command was almost a whisper in his mind.

At once, the tablets vibrated in his palm.

Those pills then began to dissolve into shimmering powder before condensing into a single rotating sphere of light.

Neo clenched his jaw to hide his excitement.

The process only lasted a few seconds.

Then something small and smooth rested in his hand.

'It worked.'

His fingers were trembling around the multicolored capsule.

It wasn't the first time, and yet this ability still shocked him.

In the local infirmaries, these tablets could easily be sold for 8-9k dollars.

But of course, he wasn't in a hurry to sell this one.

He needed to use it to stand on his own two feet.

Without any delay, he brought the multicolored capsule to his lips, then swallowed it down.

It would take 6 hours to fully take effect, but it proved one fact:

Universal Synthesis could create medicine far beyond what this world could offer.

And that meant only one thing.

Making money would be much easier than he had ever imagined.
