Chapter 1 - Prologue

Reincarnation.

A concept that ties in to multiple religions, I suppose. Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Buddhism, mainly eastern religions.

And they all talk about one thing essential for your reincarnation.

Karma.

It's mainly how you behaved in your last life. Depending on that, you'd get reincarnated as someone with either a good destiny or a bad destiny.

Meaning your destiny was already predecided.

So when I came face to face with the first(and hopefully last) omnipotent being in a empty void after dying, I wasn't too happy about my situation.

I sighed. " Can we get to the part where you reincarnate me as a future pedophile, serial killer, you know, bad guys? Because even if time doesn't pass here, it doesn't mean that I can feel it."

The guy pursed his lips. " Hey, interesting choice of words. But why do you think you're a bad guy?"

"I'm not?" This was news to me. I mean not really, 'cause in my last life I was convicted of major crimes I didn't commit all because of my luck.

"Besides, I'm an atheist, why are you bothering yourself with me?"

"Doesn't change the fact that you were more or less a saint in your last life. Besides this is my first, and hopefully last time on the job."

"Whoa, easy," I tried to put my palms up in a 'slow down' gesture, before remembering I was nothing more than a disembodied voice. " First time on the job, how do I know you can do this the right way? I don't want to mess up my reincarnation because of a newbie."

He scowled, but decided to ignore my words. " First I'm not a newbie. I'm Chaos."

Great! I thought. The self embodiment of confusion itself! Why not?

Clearly, the guy could read my thoughts, or he was already prepared, because he said, " You know Riordanverse?"

"Holy- You're THAT Chaos?"

"Yes!" He puffed out his chest a little, posture a bit looser, like he expected to be jumpscared by paparazzi any second.

Unfortunately, there were none in sight. Or maybe they were hidden. Who knows? It's this guy's domain. I guess he could get more guys here than the entirety of Beverly Hills if he wanted to.

"Uh, can we skip the part where you autograph my soul? Because I want to get to the part of why I'm here."

He looked kinda disappointed about being unable to vandalise my existence, but cleared his throat anyway. "Important questions for the end. First of all,"

He clapped, and the world around us changed from an empty blackness to a room with a couple of wheels in front of me.

And I don't mean gradually or anything. It was like Clap! and Swap!

Kinda like Boogie Woogie.

But I knew better than to ask.

I squinted at what was in front of me, and groaned." Of everything you could have given me, this is way you choose to send me to your world?"

He blinked innocently. " What? I was told this is how you mortals are reborn in fictional worlds."

"Well, maybe a gajillion years ago- You know what? Fine. Can I spin already?"

"Yes, but how did you know that I was going to reincarnate you in Riordanverse?"

I stared at him for 5 seconds straight, before deciding that omnipotent gods apparently traded away most of their brain cells. " Name one character on this wheel who is not from Riordanverse."

I was pointing at the first wheel, which was labelled 'REINCARNATED AS- '

He scratched the back of his head in embarassment." Oops. Guess I forgot to remove all signs this was a suprise."

I rolled my eyes. The dude could swap the environment around us, but he couldn't- Never mind. These omniscient guys are all the idiot types.

I can hear your thoughts, you know.

I gulped nervously, but he just laughed. " Oh chill. Its a neat little trick, I know. So are you going to spin or what?"

I hastily did so, not even daring to think. I had heard about what happened in the Fields of Punishment, and I did not want to spend tbe rest of the afterlife in an extremely creative torture.

The wheel spun, the marker thingy locking onto various colourful options as it started to slow down.

I only hopes their fates were as colourful.

Finally it locked onto a beige name, labelled "Luke Castellan"

Talk about a bland fate.

I groaned, and our my face in my palms. This was gonna be a long second life.

"Hey don't worry!" Chaos patted me on the back."You still get buffs from other worlds."

I snapped my neck up so fast I was sure I would get whiplash. " Seriously?"

"Seriously!" He waved me towards the second wheel, which I sped to.

Okay, I guess it wasn't actually running, cause I was a soul. Still I liked the look of the title-" Accuracy of World to Canon."

I looked questioningly at the dude who explained, " I know you mortals line to change your events and stuff, but this is an estimate of how accurate the world will be when you wake up."

"Got it," I spun it, praying for above at least seventy five. It whirled for around a minute, before stopping at 83%.

"Not bad." I remarked. And honestly I could live with 83. Low enough for some minor changes, but high enough for my meta knowledge to be used.

"Next?"

He gestured towards my third wheel, which I looked at eagerly, rubbing my palms in anticipation of what I would cook up next.

"What's a Title?" It wasn't the first time I heard of one, but better safe than sorry.

"Exactly what you think it is." He replied, spinning my wheel for me.

"Hey!"

"Oh, come on, it'll have the same result. Or..." He smiled as the wheel halted to a stop.

"...even better."

The Prodigy.

"You have super learning, there has never been a talent as great as you, anything can be mastered in a couple of months, blah blah blah." He ranted off, uninterested, but to me, it sounded like a goated title.

I mean, super learning? Mastery in a few months? How good was that?

This would mean that I could get some techniques I planned to down as quickly as possible, and hopefully change my outcome which ended with me becoming an apple.

"Cough, cough," I deadpanned at the primordial of the void. "Can we keep moving? In case you forgot, I'm the primordial of existence, and I'm actually on a schedule."

"Why did you say cough out loud?"

"Don't you? Oh, you don't...."

I shook my head at his stupidity, before focusing on the next wheel.

Finally.

Here it is.

"Anime Techniques"

I called in glee, looking at the choices. Rinnegan. Saiyan Bloodline. Limitless. Gura Gura No Mi. The Almighty. Wheel of Dharma.

Oh this was gonna be fun.

"You get three spins." Chaos informed me. "So use them wise- Oh, you already spun. That's great. That's great."

His voice sounded like it was not so great, but I didn't give two fucks about him. I spun, praying to all the gods I knew that this wouldn't mess up, and also hoping he couldn't hear me pray.

It slowed down, and I tried to cross my fingers, only to realise I didn't have them. I crossed my toes, but I didn't have them until the primordial next to me snapped his fingers with a sigh, and I lost my balance and fell over.

I didn't stay sprawled on the ground for long though. The second I saw what I got, I pinched myself.

Only to again remember I had no hands.

So I looked at my supervisor, " Is that real?"

He laughed. " What do you think?"

Because...

Because...

Because the wheel stopped at Haki.

Haki.

And if you think I'm going to explain how op it is, you're sadly mistaken

I just started thinking about what it could do at its peak. Armament would make my bare limbs punch through immortal and monster flesh, and give me ridiculous defence. Observation would make it useless for people to use the Mist on me, and allow to see the future short term, without a price.

And finally, Conqueror's...

No I better not talk about Conqueror's. All you need to know that it would make me the strongest demigod in there, and give me potential to change my fate.

I was already happy with my fate but the chuckling guy told me that I still had another roll on this wheel left.

I promptly fell over in joy.

After getting up, I slashed at the edge with my palm. I was regretting doing so, because the wheel spun a lot slower.

Well, it doesn't matter, I told myself. My luck won't hold.

It did hold.

Because the red labelling made me fall over again.

"Shrine- Jujutsu Kaisen"

***

After Chaos calmed me down, and debuffed the technique(why the hell did he do that for?! I'll murder him!) and calmed me down again, it was time for my next spin.

And that was apparently my class.

"What's a class?" I asked him, attempting a backflip while standing on my head but failing miserably.

He decided to ignore my antics and focus on my question. "A class is more like what type of transmigrator you'll become. Like-"

"Hang on," I fell onto my back in alarm, but scrambled up quickly. " You'll be manipulating my personality?"

"Not personality, you idiot." He sighed. " More like fate- You know what? Give it a go."

I eyes the wheel nervously, clearly not believing Mr Shady's answer, but I had no choice. I'd probably be stuck here with a bunch of colourful wheels in the afterlife forever, unless I went by his rules.

So I gave it a shot.

It spin frantically, purple, red, white, and all other colours which made it look like a messed up hypnosis wheel. It started to slow down, and it circles through various colours, pink, maroon, flesh tint, etc.. The writing was too tint to read while if was moving, so I waited.

And it landed on a tiny white box. I squinted to read, but I didn't have to, as the text expanded magically.

"Rebel" it said.

I looked at the guy inquiringly, who shook his head.

"You'll find out what it means...eventually." He had the expression of a billionaire uncle showering his nephews and nieces with gifts far beyond comprehension.

"Eventually," I muttered. I didn't trust this guy a bit, but it was what it was. If he really was who he claimed, he could show me a a lot lot worse than my imaginations.

He clapped his hand sto get my attention. " So!" He said brightly like he just hadn't introduced a variable which might just end up becoming my name, " I think that wraps up everything you get to take along, so you're almost ready to wake up."

"I still think you should have given me one more spin on the anime wheel." I grumbled, unsatisfied. " I mean, genies-"

"Up bup bup," he shushed me with a finger. " Don't complain. There's nothing more to be added, unless..."

Suddenly the environment around me changed, and I was standing in the middle of the universe.

And no, it's not a metaphor. I was literally standing in the centre of the universe.

Stras were all around me, and everywhere my eyes looked, I could only see only blackness, dotted with tiny lights. Except they weren't that tiny.

I looked up and froze.

A colossal, churning storm of cosmic dust frozen in time. It looked like a mountain range of liquid amethyst and emerald, its jagged peaks illuminated from within by the fierce, pinpoint glare of newborn stars. Wispy veils of glowing pink hydrogen drifted like celestial silk against the absolute black of the void. Yet, weaving through this neon tapestry were jagged fractures of pure shadow—veins of freezing, lightless dust that swallowed the stars whole. It was both a breathtaking cradle of life and a beautiful, silent graveyard, sprawling endlessly across the dark.

"It's.. beautiful." I managed, trying not to gawk. If course I failed.

He sighed. "I know, right? It's really pretty."

I could've gazed at it for a long time but if course he had to ruin it.

" You know it's me you're looking at right now, don't you?"

I glared. It was useless, and before I could retort his hide was suddenly ugly, he gave me the shoulder touch, and it started glowing.

"Agh!" I yelled and pushed away from him, slapping my shoulder. " What the fuck are you doing?"

"Giving another buff, of course." He stated like someone telling the weather. "It's my blessing. Gives you some of my abilities. Actually most of them, but just a much smaller version."

Before I could say anything else, he remembered some other mumbo jumbo he did on me. " Oh, you have a "quirk" called Alter Ego. By its name, you might guess its nature, because I'm not telling you anything else. Except for the fact that it's not the anime "quirk". Its a different type of shit altogether."

And before I could tell him what I thought about the view, he snapped his fingers(naturally. Why is it always finger snaps?) and sent me plummeting to the galaxies below.
