Throughout the run, Enzo did not enjoy himself. He tried his best to focus on the run and the people around him, but his thoughts kept drifting back to Arabella.
He could not stop thinking about the disappointment on her face when she had failed to transform and had been forced to remain behind while everyone else went for the run.
He had wanted her beside him, especially after everything they had talked about earlier, and leaving her behind had not been easy for him either.
So, when the run finally came to an end in the early hours of the morning, Enzo immediately dismissed his people and returned to the palace.
He went straight to his bedchambers, expecting to find Arabella there, but the room was empty.
His brows furrowed. He immediately mindlinked her.
"Bella, where are you?" he asked through the mindlink as he made his way to her bedchmabers.
