Chapter 1 - The Accidental Meeting Part 1

In a shopping district, a man wearing a brown cloak was walking. He saw a sign that read "Blue Moon Inn." He went inside and met the innkeeper.

"Excuse me, do you have any rooms available?" the man asked.

"Ah, a customer! Of course we have rooms available. Is it for one person? We provide rooms with service. The price starts at 10 geild for one week," said the innkeeper.

"Please just give me a room. I have 2 geild for three days and two nights," said the man.

"Alright, 2 geild for one room for three days and two nights," said the innkeeper while writing down the registration details.

"May I ask your name? Where are you from? And how long will you be staying here?" asked the innkeeper.

"You can give me a name. I don't have a name or a place of origin," said the young man.

"Alright then. How about Mr. Edgar from the city of Ruth?" said the innkeeper.

"Edgar, yes… I suppose that's not bad," Edgar replied to the innkeeper.

"Are you uncomfortable with that name?" asked the innkeeper.

"Ah! No... It's a good name... Thank you for your hospitality," said the man as he picked up his belongings and accepted the key to his room.

"Your room is on the second floor, the second room on the right from the end. Welcome to the capital of the Lilyum Kingdom, Lilith City. Have a nice day," said the innkeeper with a friendly smile.

"Thank you," replied Edgar.

The man walked to the second floor where his room was located. He immediately entered his room and placed his belongings on the table near the window, next to his bed.

"It turns out that life here is expensive. It's different from where I used to live," he said, staring out the window.

"If I'm here, they won't be able to find me," he said as he opened the hood of his cloak.

His body began to reveal itself. He had cappuccino brown hair, was quite tall and had an ideal physique. He looked like a young man around 17 years old. He was quite handsome with thin lips and eyes that matched his hair color.

"Haah~ This is so tiring. The safest kingdom in the world and the one that holds peace in the highest regard. I never thought I'd come here again. Haah~" he sighed.

The young man lay down on the bed.

"I think I'll start exploring tomorrow," he said, closing his eyes and falling asleep.

The next morning, the young man woke up and immediately prepared to leave the inn.

He left the inn and found many people passing by. There were also many people selling things along the road. He stopped in front of a shop. He then entered the shop and sat at one of the empty tables in the corner of the room.

A female waitress approached him.

"Sir, is there anything you'd like to order?" she asked.

"Do you have any recommendations for today's menu?" said the young man with a smile.

"For today, we recommend the Quiche, sir."

"In that case, one Quiche and don't forget the Meed," said the young man.

"All right, please wait a moment," said the waitress as she left the young man.

Before long, the food he had ordered was served at the table. He began to eat calmly. Until there was a commotion inside the shop. The young man named Edgar seemed indifferent to his surroundings. He just stared from a distance.

"So, even in the capital city, things like this happen," he said, continuing to eat.

"Do you think that things like this don't happen in the capital, newcomer? That's a big mistake," said another young man who suddenly sat down in front of him.

Edgar seemed surprised by the arrival of the young man who was now sitting in front of him. Edgar hadn't sensed his presence until the young man spoke to him.

"Ah, sorry. I was rude. You can call me Leo. If I may ask, what's your name, newcomer?" he continued, extending his hand as a sign of introduction.

"Um... the innkeeper gave me the name Edgar," said the young man named Edgar as he shook the hand of the young man named Leo.

"So your name is Edgar. Edgar, your way of thinking and your personality are quite interesting. Do you have any skills? Do you already have a job?" asked Leo.

"At the moment, I don't have a job yet. Besides, I just arrived here yesterday. That's why I'm going around today looking for work," Edgar replied, taking a sip of his Meed.

"In that case, work for me. I'll give you a pretty high salary," Leo said with a big smile, as if welcoming Edgar's arrival.

"Oh, that's an interesting offer! It's not usual for someone to offer a job to a newcomer like me," replied Edgar.

"Ah! Of course, it sounds strange, but don't worry. I have a good eye for judging people," said Leo with a smile that never left his face.

Leo glanced at his heterochromatic eyes, the right one pale green and the left one blue turquoise. Edgar, who saw Leo's eyes, was immediately mesmerized by the two orbs in front of him, as if by magic.

"Then, meet me here tomorrow morning. Bring all your belongings. Don't leave anything behind. See you again, Edgar," Leo handed Edgar a piece of paper and then left.

Edgar looked at the paper in front of him and the corners of his lips lifted on their own. 'Are all the people in the Kingdom of Lilyum strange?' That sentence was reflected in Edgar's expression at that moment.

"I haven't even accepted his offer yet. Why does he seem so sure I'll come meet him? I haven't heard anything about his job either," Edgar sighed deeply.

"Well, what can I do? It seems interesting enough to try," he muttered with a smile.

Edgar then left a geild coin on the table after thanking the waiter.
