The Five Kage were bewildered.

Madara looked at them as if they were already corpses. "Heh. Your time to dance is almost up. Why would I bother deceiving the dead?"
How dare he…!
Mei's gaze turned frigid. "Acting so sure of yourself… you might just end up humiliated!"
Madara lowered his arms, which had been crossed over his chest. "Heh… Come then. Use your final sparks to fuel my power further."
"This time, I'll lead!!!"
—Water Style: Water Dragon Rising!
Mei formed hand seals. WHOOSH! A water dragon surged from beneath her feet, carrying her dozens of meters into the air!!!
Madara looked up. "Besides Hashirama, you are the second to dare stand above me. Young Mizukage… I admire your courage."
Gaara rode a platform of sand, rising to support Mei.
—Water Blade Technique: Namihamaru!
A massive water blade, over two meters long, coalesced in Mei's hands. Riding the dragon's momentum, she cleaved downwards towards the peak where Madara stood!
Even Madara, in his arrogance, couldn't help but praise the sight. "Well done!!!"
He clapped his hands together, then pulled them apart. A blade of brilliant crimson flame, three meters long, ignited between his palms. He swung it upwards to meet her.
BOOOOM!!!
The blades collided. The air detonated.
Madara's blade burned with superior fire-natured chakra. Mei's held the elemental advantage of water against fire. For a moment, neither could overpower the other!!!
BOOM…!!
Then, the water dragon beneath Mei's feet exploded downwards…!!!
"Heh."
A smirk touched Madara's lips. He braced his left elbow against the back of his flame-blade, formed a two-finger seal with his right hand, and countered the crashing dragon with Great Fire Annihilation Arrow!
BOOM…!!
Steam erupted everywhere. CLANG! CLANG! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Within the blinding mist, the sounds of clashing blades and exploding chakra impacts were relentless.
CLANG…! Another direct hit.
Madara's superior swordsmanship finally prevailed. He disarmed Mei, sending her water blade spinning away.
With a vicious grin, he drove his flame-blade through her abdomen!!!
SPLASH!
Her pierced body exploded into a torrent of water, extinguishing the flame-blade completely.
"A water clone, using the mist as cover. Clever. But… you're still too green."
The red light in Madara's right eye flickered. His hand shot out like a ghost to his side.
CRUNCH.
Mei, who had lunged from the mist for a true surprise attack, found her throat caught in his merciless grip.
"Your dance… ends here."
With a look of absolute resolve, Mei spat a cloud of corrosive mist directly into his face.
"Guh…!"
Madara released her, stumbling back, a hand pressed to his searing cheek. "Boil Release…!?"
Mei pressed her advantage, lunging again.
Madara's right pupil glowed.
—Genjutsu: Sharingan!
Thud. Mei's eyes instantly went blank. She crumpled to the ground…!!
Their entire exchange, though detailed, had lasted a mere ten seconds.
As Madara moved to finish her, a wall of sand shot up, blocking his path…!!
—Sand Shrapnel!
PANG! PANG! PANG…!!
Then, a hail of sand bullets pierced through Madara's body, riddling him with holes.
Gaara landed beside the unconscious Mei.
—Genjutsu: Release!
Mei pushed herself up on one hand, panting. "Kazekage… my thanks…"
ZAAAAAP—!!!
A bolt of lightning tore through the dissipating steam. The Raikage's fist aimed directly for Madara's heart…!!
Madara immediately tried to substitute, just as before… but Gaara suddenly clenched his fist.
CRACK…!
The sand bullets embedded in Madara's body vibrated violently!!!
"Damn it! The sand… it's locking my joints!!!"
At the last possible millisecond, Madara twisted his body.
CRUNCH!!!
His left arm was torn off by the thunderous impact!!!

The ground beneath Madara's feet heaved upwards. Under sudden intense gravity, his posture was forced into a crouch…!!!

Madara laughed, a cruel, triumphant sound. He dipped the fingers of his right hand in the blood from his severed left arm and formed a vicious seal.

All Five Kage collapsed simultaneously.
