Chapter 12 - You fake big brother.

Su Ming halted, his gaze suddenly darkening. He spread his arms to block the entire group. "Everyone stop, switch to another target."

Hearing this, Luo Yun Han immediately frowned, her voice low yet firm: "Could it be… Luo Yun Ge has already taken down all the groups we could act against?"

Su Ming took a deep breath, trying to suppress his irritation as the entire plan was disrupted midway: "That Luo Fei Yang is chasing Luo Wu Chang with his people, their numbers are not few."

"As for Luo Yun Ge, he is sweeping through the weaker groups, our snowball effect is considered gone."

He tilted his head, a calculating glint flashing in his eyes: "More importantly, Luo Fei Yang's group is only skilled at setting up formations. Right now they are chasing Luo Wu Chang, certainly without time to lay traps. If we strike immediately, we will gain the advantage."

But then his voice lowered, tinged with hesitation: "The problem is… we will not have time to set up formations to face Luo Yun Ge. His group, every person has high achievements, absolutely cannot be underestimated."

He concluded as if nailing it down: "The prerequisite to victory is seizing the initiative. Pulling in Luo Fei Yang… is not worth the trade."

After hearing this, no one spoke further, only silent shock. As soon as the order ended, the formation immediately changed direction, running straight toward the schoolyard.

Luo Yun Han quickly proposed, her voice filled with killing intent: "Then we ambush at the schoolyard. Luo Yun Ge will certainly step into the trap."

But only Su Ming knew there was one thing he had not spoken.

He feared Luo Wu Chang would disrupt the formation. This person had considerable reputation among mid tier disciples, yet was always low key.

Moreover, Luo Yun Ge certainly had methods to monitor and grasp information. Otherwise, how could he capture so many groups so quickly?

Subduing Luo Fei Yang's group meant engaging him in battle, and battle would inevitably cause great commotion. At that time, Luo Yun Ge could completely seize the opportunity to launch a sneak attack.

They were currently in the talisman drawing area. One by one they entered the inspection rooms, yet discovered no suspicious individuals.

Meanwhile, Luo Yun Ge and his team quietly surveyed the surroundings, searching for opportunities to ambush isolated groups.

Suddenly a faint sound came from afar, the sensing talisman arranged by Luo Yun Ge at the schoolyard was triggered. He immediately turned his head, signaling to his teammates with his eyes.

"Where are you going… wait for me a moment."

Luo Tho hurriedly followed, her face bewildered.

She truly was not accustomed to this team. Everyone was talented, Luo Tho could not keep up for a moment.

An invisible pressure seemed to freeze the space around her, weighing down each breath.

Yet Luo Yun Ge had already set her aside.

Receiving the signal, the entire group immediately moved toward the schoolyard. Upon arrival, they were ambushed by another group. Luo Yun Ge frowned slightly.

Before them were various water attacks such as small water pillars, water arrows, schools of water fish. Following behind were swarms of ice butterflies, wherever they passed, snowflakes lightly fell upon the ground.

Luo Yun Ge immediately took out a scroll, it was the Shi Juan, San Qing Gu Zi.

Xing Cang Ru Feng.

In an instant, the eight person team transformed into a gust of wind, lightly dispersing to another position.

"Is this the strength of a genius?"

Someone cooperating with Luo Yun Ge for the first time could not help but admire, especially the speed he brought to the entire team.

"Truly dangerous."

Having just escaped danger, they could not help looking back. The place where they had just stood was already frozen into a large patch.

Inside the internal affairs room, an elder sighed: "Not bad. That youngster seems to be the one who proposed the ambush tactic."

The elder paused slightly, analyzing the hidden meaning: "Skillfully utilizing the water and ice elements to create a freezing reaction, controlling Luo Yun Ge's group then concentrating damage. Unfortunately… the opponent is Luo Yun Ge."

"But in terms of understanding people's hearts, he has surpassed most of the other students. Even Luo Yun Ge must learn from him."

Seeing Luo Yun Ge's group still safe, someone turned to ask Su Ming: "Ming ge, they avoided it. What do we do next?"

Su Ming calmly replied: "The opponent is in a buffed state, several times faster than us. It is unclear from which direction they will attack, counterattacking immediately is not feasible. Gather in one place, use stillness to control movement."

Su Ming's voice carried an imposing force that compelled everyone to obey.

Su Ming belonged to the fierce and cunning generation, arrogant but not blind, proud enough to make others tremble, yet capable enough to earn trust.

Luo Yun Han stepped half a pace forward, hand gripping the sword hilt tightly.

"Hmph. Is it not enough for me to give each of them one slash?"

Her gaze settled on Luo Yun Ge, the anger suppressed for so long suddenly surging forth, causing her usual coldness to vanish.

She gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with contempt.

She looked toward her elder brother as if looking at a towering mountain impossible to reach. Her hand swung the long sword, her gaze scanning for weaknesses, yet the result disappointed her.

Luo Yun Ge was surrounded and protected by four people, among them three proficient in talisman drawing, formation setting and alchemy.

In ordinary times, they were fully capable of providing materials, supporting the group promptly.

Within a group, one who did not contribute would be criticized. Previously, someone refused to share pills and was expelled.

Luo Wu Chang had also considered this point, thus he did not form a group. Mostly he relied on Luo Tian Qiu, and since the other party did not demand repayment, he naturally continued relying.

Doing so with others would be somewhat embarrassing. Although he had done nothing, he had been spoken ill of more than once, thus felt somewhat guilty.

He was indeed liked by many. But certainly there were those who disliked him, merely none said it openly.

Luo Yun Ge did not require anyone to hand over all pills or talismans. He only said: "Whoever wishes to exchange something may do so."

This method allowed members to become familiar, build goodwill, thus cooperate more smoothly. Psychology was always an indispensable part of life.

Moreover, he had publicly expelled certain unqualified people before. If he now collected supplies from them, who would obey him? No one wished to follow a tyrant.

At this time, a female disciple took her own pills and gave them to others.

Although Luo Yun Ge had said there was no need to hand them over, giving to whom was her right. Moreover she believed giving to one person was helping one person. The more she did so, the happier she felt.

That was Luo Tho, carefree in temperament, one of the few women admiring Luo Wu Chang, having a voice within the Wu Zhi generation.

Her carefree nature eased the tension within the group. Many secretly thought.

"She may be lacking in movement, spells, without reputation. But she makes us feel comfortable."

The two groups at this moment fell into a state of "cold war". Although not a real battlefield, combat still had a slow rhythm filled with calculation.

Suddenly, the sound of a sword swinging rang out, shattering the heavy atmosphere. A young girl stepped forward.

"I want to fight a match with Luo Yun Ge."

Luo Yun Ge frowned slightly, his gaze moving toward the voice.

"If you lose, you must agree to one condition of mine."

The one who spoke was Luo Yun Han. She held her sword, cold light flashing, snowflakes dispersing, her icy gaze sweeping across.

All were still somewhat doubtful, she continued: "You must never again be my elder brother. Because I do not have a useless, failed elder brother like you."

Luo Yun Ge smiled bitterly: "I am only providing support… you need not use your strength to bully my weakness, right?"

"You have talent, I also have. What is there that cannot be fought?"

"But my talent is only used for support."

Though saying so, Luo Yun Ge still glanced sideways at his group. He was the son of the clan leader, the one destined to become the next clan leader.

Becoming clan leader was not easy. He needed corresponding strength, respected, admired, trusted by the clan.

To do so, he needed a great amount of trust from the family. If in everyone's heart they believed he would become clan leader in the future.

Then as long as Luo Yun Ge's talent had no issue, he would certainly become clan leader.

Since birth, Yun Ge had been taught how to become clan leader. In terms of judging people and discerning situations, he believed himself inferior to none.

Luo Yun Ge perceived this as the appropriate time to elevate his own reputation.

Fight he must, but what attitude to display before the challenge was the crucial issue.

Arrogant? Would that not say, I am the clan leader, you are all trash.

Humble? Let everyone see you lack confidence, how could such a person become clan leader.

What must be displayed was the most relaxed temperament of the ancestor Luo Wu You, composure and clarity.

When people of the Luo family heard of the one leading the clan, they would immediately think of the ancestor Luo Wu You. As for Luo Tong Tian, who would remember?

Only when looking down would they recall that they still had this clan leader.

At this moment Luo Yun Ge slowly stepped forward, holding a bamboo flute. That was his magical artifact, Xiao Yun Zhu.

Aside from helping those who could not play the flute produce pleasant sound, it also possessed certain durability to serve as a weapon.

Yun Ge maintained his composed demeanor. One hand holding the bamboo, one hand behind his back. "Please, my younger sister, make your move."

"Despicable!"

He smiled gently. Yun Han gritted her teeth and rushed forward, sword swinging fiercely.

"Will you stop that fake smile!?"

But very quickly, Yun Ge had already tilted his body to evade and counterattacked from behind, almost within a single step.

She retreated several steps, swinging her sword to block, then immediately unleashed continuous attacks. Sword light flowed endlessly, like falling snow in winter.

Yet in Luo Yun Ge's eyes, that sword path still contained many flaws, easily seen and predicted.

The sound of metal clashing rang crisply amid the intense exchange.

"Luo Yun Han's sword path is truly outstanding, almost no delay can be seen. That proves what she excels at most is sword dao. But why choose the ice snow dao?"

"I think Luo Yun Ge's sword path is not bad either, even sharper. It seems a genius of sword dao is no match for an outsider."

"Then you do not yet know Luo Yun Han's talent. Her sword strikes can improve during battle. After this fight, fifty percent of Yun Ge's sword path will become hers."
