Chapter 1 - Unnamed

Title: The Team That Was Never Planned

It was not planned.

Not planned that Arjun and Meera will become team. Not planned that two different worlds will meet in one small moment.

Arjun was simple boy. Not too much talk. Always sitting last bench. Watching everyone. Smiling little, speaking less. People thinking he is rude, but he was not. He just not knowing how to explain his thoughts.

Meera was opposite. Always laughing. Always talking. Her energy never ending. Friends around her all time. Teachers knowing her name. She was light in every dark place.

They first met on one random school project day.

Teacher saying, "You two will work together."

Both silent.

Meera thinking, "Why him? He never talk."

Arjun thinking, "Why me? She will not like quiet person."

First day, no talking. Only awkward silence.

Second day, little talking. Only work words.

Third day, something changed.

Meera dropped her papers. Wind taking them away. She running, but papers flying everywhere.

Arjun quietly standing. Watching. Then slowly walking. Picking every paper. One by one. Without saying anything, he gave papers to her.

Meera smiled. First real smile to him.

She said softly, "Thank you."

He nodded. No words. But that moment was start.

After that, small talks started.

"What is your favorite song?"

"Nothing special."

"What you like to do?"

"Just drawing."

"What you dream?"

He stayed silent. Then said, "Not sure yet."

Meera noticed something. He was not empty. He was deep. Very deep.

Days passing. Project becoming excuse. They talking more. Laughing more.

One day Meera said, "You know, you are different."

Arjun asked, "Different means bad?"

She shook head. "Different means real."

He never forget that line.

They started becoming team. Not only project team. Life team.

When Meera was sad, Arjun listening. Not giving advice. Just listening. That was enough.

When Arjun feeling lost, Meera pushing him. Saying, "You can do more. Don't hide."

She was his voice.

He was her silence.

One day, school competition announced. Team performance needed. Meera wanted to join. But she scared. She never performed on big stage.

Arjun said, "You can do it."

She laughed. "You joking?"

He shook head. "No. I believe."

She looked at him. That belief was stronger than fear.

They decided to join together. He will draw live art. She will perform dance.

Practice days were not easy.

Meera failing steps. Feeling angry. Saying, "I cannot."

Arjun saying only two words, "Try again."

He failing drawing. Feeling frustrated. Saying, "Not good."

Meera saying, "Perfect not needed. Heart needed."

They fixing each other. Piece by piece.

Competition day came.

Stage big. Crowd loud. Lights bright.

Meera hands shaking.

She whispered, "I scared."

Arjun replied, "I here."

That was enough.

Music started.

She dancing. Not perfect. But real. Full heart.

Arjun drawing. Not fastest. But honest. Every line telling story.

Crowd watching. Silent.

Because something real was happening.

Not performance. Not show. It was emotion.

When finished, silence for two seconds.

Then loud claps. Loud cheers.

They did not win first prize.

But they won something bigger.

They won belief.

After competition, sitting together on empty bench.

Meera said, "We lost."

Arjun smiled little. "No. We found."

She asked, "Found what?"

He replied, "Ourselves."

She smiled.

Days passing again. School slowly ending. Future coming closer.

One evening, sunset sky orange and pink.

Meera asked, "After school… we will still be team?"

Arjun silent for long time.

Then said, "Team not ending with place. Team ending when hearts stop understanding."

She looked at him. Eyes little wet.

She said, "Then our team never end."

He did not reply. But his silence was answer.

Life moved forward. Different paths waiting. Different cities calling.

But some teams not breaking.

Because they not made by situation.

They made by trust.

By quiet support.

By unfinished words.

By incomplete sentences that still fully understood.

Their story was not perfect English.

Sometimes broken.

Sometimes incomplete.

Sometimes silent.

But always real.

And maybe… that is why their team was strong.

Not planned.

Not expected.

But meant to be.

And somewhere, in two different places, under same sky, two people still believing…

Team still there.

Not visible.

But alive.
