The Last Day – Airport
The airport was busy. People everywhere. But one group stood out.
Section E was all there. All of them. Even Freya stood at the back, watching.
Jay stood in the middle. Her bags were checked. Her flight was soon.
Mia and Ben were already through security. They said goodbye earlier. Now it was Jay's turn with her friends.
Ci-N was already crying. "JAY! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE LEAVING!"
Jay laughed softly. "Ci-N, I have to go. It's my home."
Ci-N shook his head. "NO! STAY HERE! BE FILIPINO!"
Drew wiped his eyes. "I lost so many bets because of you. But you're worth it."
Jay hugged him. "Take care of yourself, Drew."
Calix stepped forward. "Thank you, Jay. For everything. For Mica. For us."
Mica stood beside him, crying. "We'll miss you so much."
Jay hugged them both. "Love each other. Always."
David nodded seriously. "My prediction says we'll meet again. Soon."
Jay smiled. "I hope so."
Eman handed her a box. "Food. For the plane. So you don't get hungry."
Jay's eyes watered. "Eman..."
Eman hugged her. "Eat well, okay?"
Rakki grabbed Jay's hands. "You're my best friend. Even if you're far away."
Jay hugged her tight. "You're my best friend too."
Grace came forward. She was holding Denzel's hand. "Jay. You saved us. I'll never forget it."
Denzel nodded. "Thank you for everything."
Jay hugged them both. "Take care of each other. And the baby."
Grace cried. "We will."
Edrix and Rory stood together. Edrix spoke. "If anyone bothers you online, I'll hack them."
Rory nodded. "We'll always have your back."
Jay laughed. "I know you will."
Eren stepped up. "I'll try to have fewer girlfriends. Maybe."
Jay raised an eyebrow. "Maybe?"
Eren grinned. "Okay, I'll try."
Mayo and Kit hugged her from both sides. "JAY! We love you! Come back soon!"
Kit nodded. "Or we'll visit you!"
Jay hugged them. "I love you guys too."
Josh spoke quietly. "You're one of us now. Always."
Jay felt tears fall. "Thank you, Josh."
Blaster handed her a small thing. "I made this song. For you. Listen on the plane."
Jay took it carefully. "I will. Thank you."
Percy stood with Aries and Yuri. He was going back with Jay. But saying goodbye to his best friends was hard.
Aries hugged him. "Take care of her."
Percy nodded. "Always."
Yuri hugged him next. "We'll see you soon. Maybe visit New York."
Percy smiled. "You better."
Then Percy looked at Keifer.
Keifer was standing apart. Watching Jay say goodbye to everyone. His face was calm. But his eyes were sad.
Percy walked to him. "You going to say goodbye?"
Keifer nodded slowly. "Yeah."
Percy patted his back. "Good. Don't mess it up."
Keifer almost smiled. "Thanks."
Everyone stepped back. They knew this was important.
Keifer walked to Jay. She looked up at him.
For a moment, neither spoke.
Then Keifer said, "So. You're leaving."
Jay nodded. "Yeah."
Keifer looked at her. Really looked. Like he wanted to remember everything.
"I meant what I said," he told her. "I'll miss you. More than you know."
Jay's eyes got watery. "I'll miss you too. So much."
Keifer took a small step closer. Not touching. Just close.
"Thank you," he said quietly. "For coming here. For being you. For everything."
Jay shook her head. "Thank YOU. For being you. For defending me. For looking at me like I matter."
Keifer's heart hurt. "You matter more than anything."
Jay felt a tear fall. She wiped it quickly.
Keifer wanted to hold her. But he didn't. He respected her. He waited.
"Jay," he said softly. "This isn't goodbye forever."
Jay looked up. "It's not?"
Keifer shook his head. "No. I'll find a way to see you again. I promise."
Jay smiled. A real smile. "Promise?"
Keifer nodded. "Promise."
They stood there. Two people. Hearts full.
Then Percy called out. "Jay! We have to go!"
Jay looked back. Then at Keifer.
"Goodbye, Keifer," she whispered.
"Goodbye, Jay," he whispered back. "For now."
She turned and walked away. Percy beside her.
Keifer watched until she disappeared.
Section E stood together. All of them sad.
Ci-N was sobbing. "SHE'S GONE!"
Drew patted his back. "She'll be back, man."
Mayo wiped his eyes. "Jayfer is on pause. Not over."
Kit nodded. "It's not over."
Rakki hugged herself. "I miss her already."
Grace held Denzel's hand. "Me too."
Keifer stood alone. Watching the sky.
A plane flew overhead.
He smiled a little.
Soon, he thought. I'll see you soon, Jay.
On the Plane
Jay sat by the window. Percy beside her.
She looked out at the clouds.
Her phone buzzed. A message.
Keifer: Look at the sky. I'm looking at it too. Same sky. Same stars. Soon, same place.
Jay smiled so big.
Jay: I'm looking. I'll wait for you.
Keifer: Wait for me. I'm coming.
Jay held her phone close. Her heart was full.
Percy looked at her. "Keifer?"
Jay nodded, still smiling.
Percy sighed. "You two are hopeless."
Jay laughed. "I know."
But she didn't care.
Because somewhere far away, a boy was looking at the same sky.
Thinking of her.
Waiting to be together again.
