After eating their fill, the two prepared to head to Rosenberg immediately—they could probably arrive by evening, since it didn't seem far from here.
When they reached the city gate leading out of the town, they noticed the adventurer's guild here.
Outside the adventurer's guild stood a crowd of adventurers, but this had nothing to do with Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia, so they simply left the city.
Once outside, the ground was covered entirely in snow—even thicker than inside the town.
"Now? Cold?" Dan Feng asked Roxy Migurdia with concern, while she used fire magic to warm herself.
She then shook her head. "Not cold anymore."
Seeing this, Dan Feng said nothing more and simply proceeded in the direction of the Basheran Duchy's second city, Rosenberg.
Along the way, they passed through a forest blanketed in snow. Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia walked straight into the vast white expanse without the slightest hesitation.
Whether they would encounter danger or not was another matter—after all, with the strength he possessed after Dragon Transformation, Dan Feng could now be considered extremely powerful.
The forest was extraordinarily quiet, most likely because the cold kept both beasts and magic beasts from coming out.
Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia walked slowly like this. Everywhere they passed, they left footprints in the thick snow.
Not long after, they reached a large open clearing in the middle of the forest.
This caused Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia to halt their steps.
The reason was simple: dozens of white bears were currently lying in that open area.
"Rasuta Bears." Dan Feng's voice was very calm. His gaze settled on the distant group of white figures, and he knew their habits and characteristics like the back of his hand.
These bears were different from ordinary white bears—the key distinguishing feature was a black line running along their spine down the center of their bodies.
Rasuta Bears were a pack-living species of bear, classified as B-rank magic beasts. They were quite dangerous and would actively attack humans.
At this moment, those dozens of Rasuta Bears had clearly noticed Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia standing out conspicuously against the pure white snow.
Their eyes locked tightly onto the pair, radiating unconcealed hostility.
Without hesitation, Dan Feng summoned Cloud-Piercer and gave Roxy Migurdia a look.
Roxy Migurdia immediately understood his meaning. She took a deep breath, focused her mind, and raised her staff high.
"Inferno Fireballs!" With Roxy Migurdia's sharp shout, her staff suddenly burst with dazzling fire-red light.
The light was like blazing flames, instantly dyeing the surrounding snow red.
Huge fireballs rapidly gathered beside the staff. They burned fiercely like massive blazing orbs, radiating astonishing heat, before shooting straight toward the group of Rasuta Bears.
The Inferno Fireballs moved at extreme speed—in the blink of an eye, they struck the foremost several bears.
Upon contact with the bears' bodies, the fireballs exploded instantly. Roaring flames immediately engulfed the furry bodies of those several bears.
The fire spread rapidly, and those Rasuta Bears let out pained howls.
Their snow-white fur burned swiftly under the flames, black smoke rising into the air.
Seeing this, the other Rasuta Bears roared in fury. Their roars echoed across the snowy ground as they charged toward Dan Feng and the others on all fours.
Dan Feng raised Cloud-Piercer and instantly rushed toward the remaining group of Rasuta Bears, while Roxy Migurdia went after the ones farther back.
Cloud-Piercer sliced through the body of the foremost charging Rasuta Bear in an instant—flesh and white fur scattered across the ground.
Dan Feng twirled the spear and lunged toward the next one.
Dan Feng weaved back and forth among the group of Rasuta Bears with Cloud-Piercer. Having trained in spear techniques for so long, he felt absolutely no pressure.
After all, the High Elder "Dan Feng" often overpowered him, and the rest were simply one-sided beatdowns.
Not long after, the pure white snow was dyed red, the ground littered with the severed limbs and remains of Rasuta Bears.
Dan Feng withdrew Cloud-Piercer, and shortly afterward Roxy Migurdia slowly approached from a distance.
"Dan Feng, want to try some Rasuta Bear?" Roxy Migurdia was curious about the taste of the bears in the snow and thus asked for Dan Feng's opinion.
Dan Feng naturally had no objections.
Afterward, some intact and edible parts were specially processed by Dan Feng. Then the two built a fire in the clearing and began cooking Rasuta Bear right there.
Fortunately, he had brought seasonings—otherwise it would have been tasteless. After all, the parts had undergone special processing with imaginary energy, naturally eliminating any odor.
Although they weren't particularly hungry right now, if there was food to eat, they ate. And they had no intention of packing it to take along—otherwise, wouldn't so much meat go to waste?
As for the remaining Rasuta Bear corpses, they were burned away with fire magic.
After eating, the two continued their journey.
At dusk, Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia successfully arrived at the Basheran Duchy's second city, Rosenberg.
It was actually quite similar to the previous town, though it felt a little larger.
Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia quickly found the inn street in Rosenberg and looked over the signs one by one.
All the signs displayed clear, fixed prices, allowing guests to quickly select a preferred inn.
Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia chose an inn called the Round Shield Pavilion. Its sign featured a shield—if it weren't on inn street, one might mistake it for an armor shop.
After the two entered the inn, an elderly man sat at the front desk, while a young man was sweeping nearby—presumably the old man's son.
"Hello, we'd like rooms—two rooms, um... for three days." Dan Feng said calmly to the elderly man.
The old man nodded, then took out two sheets of paper and a pen from the drawer and handed them to Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia.
"Welcome to the Round Shield Pavilion. Please sign here, press your thumbprint, and once you're done, the two rooms at the very end of the second floor are yours." The old man said slowly, while taking out two keys from the drawer again and placing them on the counter.
Dan Feng and Roxy Migurdia followed the instructions. Afterward, Dan Feng paid for both of their stays and received the two room keys.
"Dan Feng, I have money—I can pay," Roxy Migurdia said while looking at Dan Feng.
"It's just small change. Let's go." With that, Dan Feng took Roxy Migurdia's hand and headed up to the second floor.
Once on the second floor, Dan Feng casually handed one key to Roxy Migurdia and walked toward the innermost rooms.
Roxy Migurdia easily found the room indicated by her key and opened the door.
"Then I'll head in first. See you tomorrow." Roxy Migurdia said to Dan Feng before turning and entering her room.
Dan Feng's room was right next door to Roxy Migurdia's.
Upon entering his room, Dan Feng casually set his luggage aside and began observing the inn's environment.
Hm, as expected—it was indeed a brick building. Aside from the bed, table, and chair, the only other thing was a fireplace.
