Cherreads

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 – You Can Leave. We Won’t Charge You.

Fu Ye and Ah Yin looked like a pair of celestial lovers straight out of a painting. It was enough to make others burn with envy.

Being good-looking was one thing.

But being ridiculously good-looking and openly showing affection in public?

That was just unfair.

Some business-minded kid on the street had even stacked a dozen bags of cement nearby with a sign that read:250 gold coins per bag.

After eating their fill, Fu Ye leaned comfortably against his seat, gazing lazily at the pedestrians below. Meanwhile, Ah Yin was still delicately nibbling on the half-eaten Red Jade Shrimp in her palm.

Bang.

A soft pop came from Ah Yin's lower abdomen.

Fu Ye turned his head.

This silly girl had actually broken through while eating.

She was now a Level 66 Soul Emperor.

Her little face was flushed red. She knew the food contained an enormous amount of energy—but unfortunately, she simply couldn't eat any more.

Watching her struggle between wanting more and being unable to continue, Fu Ye felt his heart soften.

She was just too cute.

"Alright, if you can't finish it, we'll save it for tomorrow. Even good things can harm you if you eat too much at once."

With a wave of his hand, the remaining dishes disappeared into his system storage space.

Then, right in front of Ah Yin, he took the half-eaten Red Jade Shrimp from her hand and ate it without hesitation.

"My shrimp…"

Ah Yin looked utterly wronged.

By the time she reacted, her shrimp had already vanished into Fu Ye's mouth.

"Be good. Over-tonics like this aren't good if you eat too much."

Even though transformed soul beasts had strong physiques, their current bodies were still human. If they ate recklessly like true beasts, their bodies wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Okaaay…"

Feeling the surging energy within her, Ah Yin was more convinced than ever that coming out with Fu Ye had been the right decision.

Meanwhile, Fu Ye extended his Spiritual Power toward Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, curious to see what kind of petty tricks they were about to attempt.

Sure enough.

Before long, the sound of dishes smashing rang out from downstairs.

Crash!Bang!

"What kind of garbage food is this?! You dare sell something this disgusting?!"

A rough roar echoed across the first floor.

Fu Ye watched Tang Hao below like one might watch a clown.

Smash a bowl? Break some chopsticks?

As long as they paid for it, everything was negotiable.

"Sir, we're very sorry that the taste of our dishes doesn't suit you. However, I see that you've finished your meal, so could you please settle the bill?"

The waitress remained calm.

She had dealt with many guests like this before. Those who caused trouble and refused to pay would be permanently blacklisted from Juxiang Pavilion.

As for continuous violent troublemaking?

Impossible.

Juxiang Pavilion was located near the Heaven Dou Imperial City.

Starting a fight near the royal capital?

That would be suicidal.

The commotion quickly drew attention from other diners.

Upstairs, Fu Ye leaned against the window frame, watching Tang Hao and Tang Xiao as if they were performing for him.

"Fu Ye, what are they doing? They smashed their bowls after eating. That's so rude."

Ah Yin frowned, her ice-blue eyes filled with disdain.

"Just two jumping clowns. Stay away from bandits like that in the future."

"Mhm!"

Fu Ye and Ah Yin didn't bother lowering their voices.

Anyone with decent cultivation could hear them.

Including Tang Hao and Tang Xiao.

"Lan-jie, go ahead and handle your other duties. Don't charge these two. It's just a hundred gold soul coins—we won't go bankrupt. But from now on, add the Clear Sky Clan to our blacklist."

The waitress downstairs was named Xiao Lan, a senior employee like Xiao Li. She handled most front-hall issues.

"Yes, Boss."

After hearing Fu Ye's instruction, Xiao Lan smiled politely at Tang Hao and Tang Xiao—and promptly ignored them.

A gasp suddenly erupted from the crowd.

"Clear Sky Clan? I remember now! Aren't they those two geniuses from the Clear Sky Clan?"

"No wonder they looked familiar. It's Tang Hao and Tang Xiao!"

"So the so-called Twin Heroes of the Clear Sky Clan are like this? Their character seems… questionable."

Under the barrage of whispers and pointed remarks, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao's faces shifted between pale and red.

Fu Ye watched from above, indifferent.

To him now, two Soul Douluos were nothing more than ants.

"Hmph! It's just a hundred gold soul coins! I can afford it!"

There was a saying:

Cold indifference and public opinion were the heaviest blows to a man's pride.

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao had originally planned to stir up trouble and make a scene, showing off their "strength."

Instead, Fu Ye casually declared:You don't have to pay. Just leave. But from now on, neither you nor your clan will be served here.

It felt like punching cotton.

They knew exactly what that implied.

Tang Hao reached for his money pouch.

Fu Ye's meaning was clear:Now you want to save face? Too late.

"Apologies, sir," Xiao Lan said calmly while recording another table's bill. "Your meal has already been waived. There is no need for payment."

Tang Hao, a broad-shouldered man, held out a bag of coins.

Xiao Lan didn't budge.

Professional ethics aside, the boss had already spoken.

The Clear Sky Clan was officially blacklisted.

Their names would soon be posted on the inner wall of the second floor alongside other barred guests.

"What is the meaning of this?! You refuse payment even when I offer it?!"

Tang Hao finally found an outlet for his anger.

He had only wanted to teach that young man upstairs a lesson—show the girl what true masculinity looked like.

Now?

He looked like a freeloader who ate without paying.

And worse—he was blacklisted.

Xiao Lan remained composed. As a high-rank Soul Ancestor herself, she wasn't intimidated by a loud voice.

"We apologize, sir. Juxiang Pavilion is but a small establishment. We cannot withstand pressure from major forces. If you dislike our dishes, we can waive the bill. But please do not trouble our store in the future."

"You were the one who said the food was terrible. You were the one who refused to pay. Now you insist on paying."

She gave him a polite smile.

"That makes things very difficult for us common folk."
