Chapter 1 - transported

Obi stood up before the dust even settled.

He didn't panic.

He didn't question it.

He just looked at the medieval buildings in the distance and sighed.

"…Clover Kingdom."

He checked the sky. The land. The mana in the air.

Black Clover.

And judging by the lack of explosions or giant demons in the sky —

"Pre-Asta chaos era. Good. I've got time."

A book dropped in front of him.

He didn't flinch.

"Right on cue."

The grimoire hovered there.

No cover.

No clover symbol.

Just exposed pages bound together like it wasn't finished.

He already knew the timeline.

Asta and Yuno would receive their grimoires soon.

Magic Knight Exam after that.

Dungeon mission.

Then everything starts escalating.

He had time.

And unlike everyone else here —

He knew what was coming.

The Eye of the Midnight Sun.

The elf incident.

The devils.

Obi looked down at his coverless grimoire.

"Yeah… I'm not playing side character."

He flexed his fingers. Darkness gathered again, smooth and responsive.

If this was true Dark Magic —

Then it had real potential.

He looked toward the direction of Hage Village.

Joining a squad would limit him.

Following canon would chain him.

And he didn't cross realities to become someone's subordinate.

He tucked the grimoire
