Liam forced his expression to remain steady.
Even as the words left his mouth, even as the weight of what he had just revealed lingered in the air, he didn't allow a single crack to show.
Inside, however, his pulse was anything but calm.
Nyx stood before him, her beautiful face frozen in disbelief. Her dark eyes searched his, sharp and unyielding, as if trying to peel him apart layer by layer.
"How…" she murmured, almost to herself. "…how do you know about the continent's destruction?"
The air between them tightened.
Liam met her gaze without flinching. "I have my ways," he said calmly. Then, after a brief pause, his tone shifted, firmer, demanding. "But I want to hear it from you."
'The system gave me fragments… but fragments aren't enough,' he thought. 'I need the full truth.'
Nyx studied him for a few seconds longer, her expression unreadable. Then, slowly, she exhaled.
"Very well."
