Mustaak stands on the edge of the rooftop. The text floating before his eyes slowly fades, but the last line still hovers clearly:
"Fail this mission, and you will lose your humanity."
What does losing humanity mean? Will he become an animal? Like those shadowed creatures? Or something even worse?
There is no time to think.
Footsteps echo faintly from the alley below, stopping intermittently, as if sensing the surroundings. Mustaak's heart races. His palms sweat.
He opens the rooftop door and begins descending the stairs. Fourth floor… third floor… second floor. With each step, the sounds grow clearer.
On the first floor, he stops. Standing at the stair landing, he hears only his own breath… and the faint footsteps… now silent.
Suddenly—
A black hand emerges through the adjacent wall!
Mustaak jumps back. The wall is smeared in black mist. From its center emerges an entire body. Human-shaped, but not human. No face, only two red dots in the empty space. Black smoke envelops it. The air reeks of decay.
The floating interface reappears in Mustaak's mind:

No response. Only forward movement.
"Why are you here? What did you do to that man?"
Silence.
Rage surges within Mustaak — a lifetime of humiliation, neglect, and loneliness erupting into bloodlust.
He swings the iron rod forcefully at the figure's head.
The rod penetrates the black smoke. Pulling it out, Mustaak sees half the rod corroded, the rest weakened.
The figure reaches out toward him. The touch sends Mustaak flying into the stair railing. Pain shoots through his back. Breaths come in gasps.
He collapses on the floor. The figure moves closer. Red eyes blazing in the dark. Now it is the end.
"No. Not like this. I've been trampled my whole life. Today, I won't take the beating anymore!"
Mustaak closes his eyes — not in fear, but to summon something inside him.
And then—
Heat erupts in his palms. Intense, burning heat. He looks down — dark purple light radiates from his hands. Like the shadowed creature's glow — but reversed. The sensation is opposite.
Light spreads around. The shadowed figure tries to retreat, but cannot. The light engulfs it. Mustaak rises. His body moves toward the figure on its own.
