A few hours had passed since everyone had gone to carry out the tasks ordered by Damon.
Olympus had returned to normal. Anyone who arrived would think nothing had happened in Olympus. At the same time, no one had any doubts about Damon anymore or what he represented. Of course, some were displeased, but they did not show it openly. Others had different emotions, but they knew this was not the time to break down crying yet.
Right now, the expanded throne room was full.
Olympian gods, minor gods, nymphs, and important spirits of the pantheon had been called. No one spoke too loudly. Most eyes were fixed on Zeus's empty throne.
Damon entered without hurry, followed by Kaia and Orion. The two of them, the moment they learned what Damon had done, quickly moved toward Olympus. After all, Damon had just been in a battle, and they, as his sacred animals, literally did nothing. But Damon assured them he was fine and that he preferred to do it himself.
As for Hades, whose gaze was fixed on Ares, he had just recovered his helm thanks to his brother. All this time, Ares had kept it in his temple along with Zeus's master bolt. Honestly, he did not know what to think, but the truth made sense. He could not think of anyone else who would want the throne of king of Olympus besides him.
But seeing how Ares was being manipulated by Kronos, Damon had decided to wait and see how things played out. By the way, Damon had replaced the helm and the master bolt with less powerful replicas, but ones that were easy to pass off as the real thing. Hades was amazed by his brother's creation ability. It was certainly impressive.
Leaving those thoughts aside, Hades walked behind Damon, silent as always. Hera, who was sitting on her throne beside Zeus's vacant one, watched her brother expectantly. She could not wait for this to end so she could finally speak with him.
Damon walked toward Zeus's throne. Everyone's eyes were on him. Some expected him to stop in front of the throne to say something about right, blood, or revenge. Others expected him to destroy it.
For his part, Damon did none of that. He simply climbed the steps, looking at the throne. To be honest, this was the first time he had ever sat on a throne, even though he had been a god for many years. But he had been so busy that the thought had never crossed his mind, and he had never really claimed what was his.
And he was certainly curious to know what would happen. From what he knew, a throne was like a symbol of power for a god. Sitting on the golden throne right beside Hera, the moment Damon sat down and exerted his divine power toward the throne, it was a sensation Damon did not know how to explain. The symbol above the throne changed from a lightning bolt to a symbol with two wolves and a balance scale in the middle. Those who saw that symbol quickly recognized it as the third symbol that had claimed Damon when he entered the camp.
He literally claimed himself just to mess with us… That was the thought some had when they connected the dots.
Damon rested one arm on the throne and looked at everyone present, Kaia and Orion on either side while Hades sat beside Hestia near the hearth.
"First of all, I want to thank everyone who did their part today in fixing this disaster. I'm happy with the results." His voice echoed through the hall.
Many nodded in gratitude, especially the nymphs in his direction. Their efforts were rarely acknowledged, even with a simple thank-you.
"With that said, let me make this clear: from this moment on, Zeus's reign is over."
Damon let the silence last a few seconds before continuing, allowing everyone to process what he had said.
"For those of you who are still confused, I'll tell you right now that I'm not going to waste time telling my story. If you have questions, I'm sure someone in this room can answer them later."
His gaze swept across the room.
"This pantheon is complete shit. Its rules are inadequate, you do almost everything you should be doing right completely wrong, and you live in a bubble, without taking into account that your actions affect many people and cause the anger of individuals you do not want to make enemies of."
Several gods and goddesses tensed, lowering their gazes, shame clear on their faces.
Damon let out a small laugh.
"Relax. I'm not going to make a list of a hundred laws like that idiot. I don't have the patience for that."
Hermes, from one side, tried to hide a smile and failed.
"Then what are you planning to do?" Athena asked.
Damon looked at her.
"My plan is simple: make the Greek pantheon great again."
The answer was simple, but the weight behind those words made many fall silent with expectant looks.
Damon raised one finger.
"First. Everything related to Zeus, his orders, favors, punishments, and rules, is suspended until I review it. If anyone tries to do something in Zeus's name, I will consider it a threat, and they will be instantly eradicated."
Ares clenched his teeth, but said nothing.
Damon raised a second finger.
"Second. No god is going to cause disasters in the mortal world because of pride, anger, or a whim. We are gods, so act like it. A mortal saying something you dislike is not a reason to curse their entire family, make their life impossible, or turn them into an animal. So keep contact to a minimum when it comes to harming mortals, unless they truly deserve it."
His gaze fell for a moment on Ares, then on Artemis.
"I'm not forbidding you from using your power or fighting among yourselves, as long as it is friendly or controlled. But make sure it does not cause large-scale chaos in the mortal world."
No one argued.
Damon raised a third finger.
"Third. The children of the gods will no longer be treated like tools. If you have children in the mortal world, you will take responsibility one way or another."
"I don't care if you can't raise them directly. You recognize them, protect them, or at least stop pretending they don't exist. Let me remind you that even if only by a little, demigods are still my family, so if I find out that any of you are having children here and there without taking responsibility for them… I'll make sure you never experience carnal pleasure again."
Many gods with children unconsciously squeezed their legs together out of phantom fear, knowing perfectly well what the red-haired god meant.
"Of course, the fathers and mothers who truly love their children, I won't stop you from visiting them as many times as you want. You are free to do whatever you want with them, as long as you keep them safe."
Smiles could not help but appear at those simple words. Damon had just earned the favor of many goddesses and gods who truly loved their children.
As for Hestia, she had tears in her eyes. She could not contain the happiness she felt right now. Finally, her nephews and nieces would at least be recognized and claimed as they should be.
Seeing the reactions of many, Damon smiled a little, leaning back slightly on the throne.
"And fourth. If anyone has a problem with my authority, this is the time to say it freely."
No one dared to speak.
Some minor gods lowered their gazes. Ares opened his mouth for a second, looked at Damon, remembered how he had literally treated him like a punching bag, and closed it again.
Damon smiled.
"Good. Looks like we're all on the same page."
Hera closed her eyes for a moment, but the pleased smile would not leave her face. Hestia let out a small low laugh, while Demeter shook her head with an expression somewhere between exhaustion and relief.
"Um… Lord Damon," a trembling voice was heard from one side.
Damon turned his gaze toward the voice.
It was a young goddess he did not recognize. Her face was pale, her hands were clasped tightly in front of her chest, and a very faint silver light surrounded her body. She did not seem to want to draw attention, but even so, she had spoken.
"What will happen to my father?" she asked carefully.
Damon observed her for a second. "Who are you, girl?"
The young woman swallowed, clearly regretting a little that she had spoken, but still answered.
"Pandia," she said in a low voice. "Daughter of Zeus and Selene."
Some gods looked away. Others looked at Damon, waiting to see how he would react to hearing Zeus's name again.
Damon let out a small sigh.
"Relax, Pandia. I'm not going to punish you for being Zeus's daughter."
The goddess nodded slightly, still trembling a little.
"Children do not carry the crimes of their parents. If you didn't help Zeus rot this pantheon, then you have nothing to fear from me."
Pandia did not answer right away. Her shoulders lowered a little, as if she had been expecting a death sentence and had received something completely different.
"As for Zeus," Damon continued, "for now I have something planned for him, so eventually I'll get rid of him. Besides, I need to find a way to bring someone back," he said, glancing slightly at Athena, already thinking of a way to pull Metis out of Zeus's body.
Pandia slowly lowered her gaze.
"Thank you…"
"Yep," Damon murmured, smiling at the minor goddess.
Then he turned his gaze back to the rest of the room.
"Good, with that said, start claiming your children. I won't repeat it again. As for Camp Half-Blood, its cabins, and the rules that have been imposed there, I'll speak personally with Chiron."
"Every child of a god will have their own space. I don't care if they are the child of a minor god… If they belong to this pantheon, they will have a place to sleep, train, and live without feeling like leftovers thrown into someone else's cabin."
"Lastly, I'm warning you now: this will not be the only change. I'm not going to fix this pantheon in one night, but little by little, we're going to make it work as it should. The day will come when Olympus will have nothing to envy from any other pantheon."
No one responded, but the looks in the room were enough. Some were uncomfortable, others relieved and happy. Seeing this, Damon ended the meeting.
"You may leave now."
Some gods looked at each other. They simply seemed unsure if they could really leave after everything that had just happened.
Damon raised an eyebrow.
"What's wrong? Do you also need permission to walk?"
Apolo let out a small laugh under his breath, while several gods began to move quickly, some more nervous than others. Little by little, the throne room began to empty.
Damon watched everything from the throne.
Hades was one of the last to leave, giving Damon a brief look before disappearing without saying anything. Hestia and Demeter also left, although both of them looked at Hera for a second, already knowing what was about to happen and deciding to give them their private space.
Hera remained seated on her throne.
For a few seconds, neither of them spoke. Damon let out a small sigh and leaned back a little more on the throne, glancing at his sister from the corner of his eye.
"Alright," the redhead murmured. "I guess now comes the part where you either hug me or hit me."
