simply because firstly I'm studying hard but mainly because I didn't have the drive to post a new chapter I think I got juiced out.
THAT DOESNT MEAN I'M DROPPING IT. hellllll to the no i'm just saying this time period was kinda me time? But back on the grind lets GOOOOO.

The interior of the Mantis sub smelled of ozone and concentrated chemicals. Zeth sat hunched over a portable laboratory array, his Aura-eye fixed on the Mutation-Core as it sat suspended in a stabilizing magnetic field.
"The Gate-energy is too volatile in its raw form," Zeth muttered, his fingers flying across the keypad of the centrifuge. "If I don't refine this, it'll just cause cellular burnout."
He wasn't looking for a minor fix. He was looking to break the current limits of his team's biological potential. By mixing the core's high-frequency radiation with the Grand-Mastered Ether and the trace DNA he'd harvested from the Level 62 Nidoking, he wasn't just "solidifying" their Tiers—he was upgrading them.
The synthesis was a delicate balancing act. Zeth had to strip away the "Berserker" traits of the Pinkan energy while keeping the raw, explosive growth factor.
"Croagunk, step forward."
The Croagunk (Lvl 44, Dark Blue) hopped onto the cold metal table. Its vocal sac pulsed with a rhythmic, wet sound. Of all his Pokémon, the Croagunk's technical "Sponge-Style" was the most taxing. Its Dark Blue potential was a high-tier grade, but to compete in the Level 60+ environment of the Archipelago, it needed to cross into the Elite spectrum.
Zeth loaded the refined violet serum into a pressurized injector.
"This is the threshold," Zeth whispered. "Hold on."
Zeth pressed the injector against the Croagunk's shoulder. The Pokémon's body jerked as the Light Purple energy surged through its lymphatic system.
Through Zeth's Aura-eye, the transformation was visceral. The Dark Blue fog around the Croagunk didn't just brighten—it condensed, darkening and shifting into a regal, translucent violet. The "Sponge" muscle fibers didn't just heal; they restructured, becoming denser and more elastic.
Pokémon: Croagunk Process: Tier-Ascension (Mutation-Synthesis) Result: Dark Blue -> Light Purple. Status: Potential Upgraded. Change: Its poison-sacs now produce a more concentrated neurotoxin, and its physical "Sponge" ability can now absorb kinetic energy from higher-level physical moves without the risk of internal tearing. It has entered the Elite potential bracket.
The Mutation-Core flickered, its glow dimming as the Croagunk's ascension drained the majority of its refined power. Zeth didn't waste the residue. He funneled the remaining stabilized energy into the Rhydon's and Shelgon's recovery pods, ensuring their bodies were primed for their own future Tier-jumps.
"It's not a miracle," Zeth said, watching the Croagunk test its new strength by punching a dent into a reinforced steel crate. "It's an investment."
The Light Purple potential meant the Croagunk could now feasibly reach the Elite 4 level of strength if trained correctly. It was no longer a "support" specialist; it was becoming a primary technical executioner.
A rhythmic, heavy thumping echoed through the hull of the sub. It wasn't an explosion; it was music. A high-bass, synchronized beat was vibrating through the water from the Trovita harbor.
[Warning: Multiple High-Speed Signatures Detected. Identification: Trovita Gym Guard.]
"Rudy," Zeth said, his eyes narrowing as he checked the external cameras. "He's scouting the bay."
The Trovita Gym Leader was famous for his "Dance-Combat"—a style that relied on extreme technical movement and rhythm. In this world, that translated to a technical nightmare.
Zeth recalled his team and prepped the Mantis for a surface breach. It was time to secure a sanctioned win and prove that his "Mutation" wasn't a fluke—it was the new standard.
[Status: Croagunk Tier Upgraded to Light Purple.] [Exp Gained: Croagunk 44 -> 45. Technical fluidity increased.]
The sonar on the Mantis sub didn't ping; it hummed. It was a low, melodic vibration that bypassed the electronic sensors and rattled the very hull of the vessel.
His hand hovering over the silent-running toggle. "He's using his Pokémon to map the bay's resonance. He's looking for the 'hollow' in the water where a sub would be."
Through the external periscope, Zeth saw three Starmie (Lvl 52, Green Potential) skimming the surface of the Trovita bay. They weren't swimming; they were spinning in a synchronized, rhythmic pattern, their central cores flashing in time with a heavy, bass-driven beat coming from Rudy's high-speed patrol boat.
"He found us," Zeth grunted.
Zeth didn't wait for the depth charges. He blew the ballast tanks. The Mantis sub erupted from the water like a breaching whale, shedding sea-foam as it leveled out.
Standing on the deck of a sleek, open-top speedboat fifty yards away was Rudy. He wasn't wearing a Gym Leader's robe; he was in a sleeveless tactical vest, a pair of headphones draped around his neck, and a smirk that didn't reach his eyes.
"The Anomaly," Rudy shouted over the music. "I heard you gave the Bureau a headache. I don't care about your 'Core,' kid. I care about the fact that you're disturbing the peace of the island."
"Then change locations," Zeth replied, his hand on the Croagunk's (Light Purple) ball.
"I have a better idea," Rudy said, snapping his fingers. "In Trovita, we don't do 'sanctioned' matches in a dusty arena. We do them on the move. If you can keep up with the beat, I'll give you the badge. If you fall out of rhythm... you sink."
Rudy's lead Starmie didn't wait. It surged forward, its core glowing a brilliant, pressurized violet.
Pokémon: Starmie (Rudy's Ace) Level: 54 Potential: Purple Ability: Natural Cure Moves: Hydro Pump, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Rapid Spin, Recover.
The Starmie began a Rapid Spin, but it wasn't a standard physical hit. It was using the centrifugal force to create a localized whirlpool around the Mantis sub, tilting the vessel at a dangerous forty-degree angle.
"Croagunk, intercept! Sponge-Step!"
The Croagunk (Lvl 45, Light Purple) materialized on the slick, angled deck of the sub. Its feet—now reinforced by the Light Purple potential—didn't slip. They gripped the wet steel like suction cups.
"Thunderbolt!" Rudy commanded.
The Starmie unleashed a jagged bolt of electricity. On the water, there was nowhere to dodge.
"Absorb and Redirect!"
The Croagunk didn't dodge. It stepped into the bolt, its belly sac expanding to an unnatural size. The Light Purple potential allowed its nervous system to handle the massive electrical surge without seizing. It didn't just take the hit; it processed it.
"Now! Venoshock—Electric Infusion!"
The Croagunk spat a stream of pressurized toxin, but it was crackling with the stolen electricity from the Starmie. The move hit the water and traveled through the whirlpool, short-circuiting the Starmie's Rapid Spin and forcing it to breach.
Rudy's smirk vanished for a split second. "A Light Purple technical? On a Croagunk? You've been busy since Pinkan."
"We're just getting started," Zeth said, his Aura flaring as he synchronized his own movements with the Croagunk. "The music is too slow, Rudy. Speed it up."
Rudy reached for his deck, turning the volume dial to the maximum. The water around the two vessels began to churn as the Starmie prepared a high-frequency Psychic wave.
