Keira's body, which was initially standing on the ground, began to float up. Now her feet were no longer touching the ground.
She slowly curled up, her head lowered, her arms and legs bent tightly in front of her chest.
White fire poured out from the pores of her skin and wrapped Keira's body into a cocoon.
The surroundings turned silent again for a moment. Tivana lowered both of her hands from Zevaron's eyes. "You may look again now."
Zevaron narrowed his eyes, "Why is she wrapped in a cocoon?"
"Ever since earlier, every time something happens, you always stare at me with suspicion," Tivana pointed toward the cocoon wrapping Keira. "Since her clothes burned to ashes, that cocoon will give her clothes." Tivana explained.
Zevaron was silent for a moment, "Hmmmm alright." his tone of voice returned to being casual.
The surface of the cocoon covering Keira began to crack. Fine cracks spread until they formed large fractures.
When the cocoon fell to the ground, Keira was already standing in her new clothes.
Keira's eyelids began to open, revealing her brown pupils. Keira looked at her two hands opening and closing, feeling a new physical strength that was far stronger than before.
Keira smiled thinly, "My illness is cured and my physical strength has increased drastically." She said excitedly.
Keira looked toward Tivana, who was now behind Zevaron; a thought immediately popped into her mind.
Keira coughed, "It seems someone feels comfortable near the opposite sex to the point of not wanting to move from where she is standing." she quipped casually.
Zevaron turned around, "Are you comfortable being near me?"
Keira's fingers pointed repeatedly toward Zevaron, "It's you I meant."
"Just average." Tivana answered flatly.
Zevaron turned back, both of his hands raised to shoulder height, "It's not me and it's not Tivana." Zevaron answered.
Keira slapped her own forehead, "It seems your brain is having problems out of boredom from waiting. Zevaron." as soon as that name was mentioned, Tivana immediately shifted her gaze toward Zevaron's back.
"Next time take care of your brain when bored so it doesn't have problems." Keira continued without paying attention to Tivana's gaze.
Tivana smiled, "Oh, so you are Zevaron?"
Zevaron turned around quickly, then jumped backward. "Yes, so what?"
"Eleven years ago...." Tivana's tone of voice turned serious. "Zevaron Valerion."
The moment the name 'Valerion' was spoken, Zevaron's eyes shrank to the size of a needle because that was the name of his clan, meaning Tivana knew his origin and maybe even... Tivana knew who the mastermind was.
Keira's pupils contracted as small as a needle because who in this world doesn't know the Valerion clan.
"In this world, those who know about that are very few," Zevaron's tone of voice was low. "Where did you get that information?" he hissed sharply.
Keira stared at Zevaron in disbelief, "So you really are a descendant of the Valerion clan?!" her voice trembled.
Zevaron only nodded slowly, his cold gaze locked onto the figure of Tivana who knew his secret.
Tivana smiled mysteriously, "I found out from someone."
"Who?" Zevaron asked coldly.
"I cannot tell you, but I can tell you a piece of information."
"What information?"
"The Valerion clan, guardians of ancient secrets, were tasked with keeping the creatures and inheritances from ancient times from awakening. However, once they were slaughtered eleven years ago..." Tivana's eyebrows furrowed, "...creatures and inheritances of ancient times began to awaken; any human can find ancient inheritances."
"Then... what was the reason they were slaughtered?" Zevaron's voice trembled, nearly swallowed by the sound of the night wind. "Our clan maintained peace indirectly,"
Tivana let out a heavy sigh, her eyes closing for a moment. "They were slaughtered... because people from the underworld wanted power and immortality." Her voice was low and laden with empathy.
"Immortality?" Keira suddenly interrupted, her eyebrows knitting together.
Zevaron fell silent. His fingers clenched tightly until his knuckles turned white, his chest rising and falling as he held back a breath that had suddenly grown suffocating.
"Just because of... that?" Zevaron muttered hoarsely, his voice cracking.
He looked down, hiding his pair of eyes that had suddenly grown moist and trembled violently.
"Just because of that ridiculous reason... my entire family was destroyed?" he choked on a sob, followed by a bitter, humorless laugh that shattered the silence.
Keira walked over to Zevaron, who was still laughing bitterly. Keira placed her hand on Zevaron's shoulder, her eyes containing deep pity.
"Zevaron..." Keira called softly, her voice now sounding so raspy and gentle.
"Their reason is indeed dirty and illogical," Keira said softly, "But your pain... your sense of loss is real, Zevaron. You're allowed to be angry, you're allowed to cry. Don't hold it in all by yourself."
The atmosphere became quiet for several moments.
"Tivana," Zevaron's voice broke the silence of the night. "Let's make a blood covenant. If you tell me who the culprit that slaughtered my family is..." Zevaron's fist tightened even more until his knuckles turned white. "...then I will help you do anything worth far greater value."
"No need."
That answer stabbed Zevaron's chest; the stab was far more painful than any sword.
"Wh-why?" Zevaron asked with a trembling voice.
"Because we are in the same boat." Tivana showed a memory crystal.
The crystal projected the scene of when the Valerion clan was slaughtered. Ranging from the magic formation placed around the Valerion clan residence by people in black robes, the death of Tharion, to all members of the clan being slaughtered.
While watching that projection, Zevaron did not cry, but rather a feeling of vengeance mounted even higher.
Meanwhile, Keira could only stroke Zevaron's back without being able to say anything, because she knew that the pain Zevaron experienced was extremely overwhelming.
"Now, this is the result of my investigation." the projection from the crystal changed into a complex analysis.
The moment he saw the 'conclusion' section—both of Zevaron's eyes turned red, full of intent to kill, and suddenly he ran toward the exit path of the Forest of a Thousand Deaths.
A fraction of a second later, four magic circles formed around Zevaron, and those magic circles unleashed chains that wrapped around both of his wrists and feet.
Zevaron thrashed violently, but those shackles could still hold his movement until he couldn't go anywhere.
"Be patient." Keira said softly.
"LET ME GO," Zevaron yelled while thrashing, yet Keira remained unmoving, "I WILL KILL THEM ALL!" Zevaron roared.
"If you recklessly go there, what will happen is death for you, and your two older siblings will also feel deep sorrow." Keira stated firmly.
That sentence struck Zevaron's chest like a sledgehammer. The anger that had been overflowing in Zevaron's eyes suddenly froze. His pupils trembled violently.
"Not only that, they could dig up information about your two older siblings and then kill them because you know their whereabouts." Tivana chimed in.
Zevaron's body, which was previously tense, slowly returned to being relaxed. Keira then released her hold.
The crystal stopped projecting Tivana's analysis. Now the crystal floated above Tivana's palm. Tivana extended her hand holding the projector crystal toward Zevaron.
Zevaron, without hesitation, immediately received the crystal.
"If you are still doubtful, I invite you to investigate first, but don't die during the investigation." Tivana waved her hand with a smile.
An instant later, Tivana had already vanished from the last spot she was standing.
