Chapter 119 - Shock! Seeing a Ghost!!!

Might Dai cautiously navigated the streets etched in his memory and returned to his home.

Standing before the front door, he knocked—thud, thud, thud—unable to wait another second to see his wonderful son again. However, despite knocking for a long while, no one answered.

"Nobody's home? Is he out on a mission?" Dai wondered.

He hopped onto the windowsill, pried it open, and stepped into his former room with practiced ease. Flipping the light switch and seeing the familiar surroundings, Dai's heart swelled with a mix of emotions. His eyes grew red. He truly never expected to return to this familiar house.

"Guy... when you come back and see Papa, you're going to be so surprised!!!"

The Red-Light District

Might Guy had a lecherous grin on his face, an arm around a "lost sister" on either side, acting like a seasoned veteran as he flirted. Beside him, Asuma wore a similarly decadent expression, hugging two curvaceous beauties of his own. The group was drinking and playing finger-guessing games, having the time of their lives.

Thanks to the "good stuff" purchased from Uchiha Raizen, these two were now spending almost every night in the district "saving" sisters.

It wasn't until the next morning that Guy and Asuma emerged from the brothel, having already made a pact to return that evening. After parting ways with Asuma, Guy grabbed a bowl of ramen for breakfast and headed home. He planned to get some solid rest before the "battle" tonight.

Approaching his front door, Guy was startled to find it wide open.

Did a thief break in while I was out?

Seeing a silhouette moving inside, Guy narrowed his eyes. He stayed alert, treading softly as he crept closer. Once inside, he saw a figure rummaging through his refrigerator. Without a moment's hesitation, Guy unleashed his most practiced move: the Leaf Strong Whirlwind.

He launched a horizontal sweeping kick toward the figure by the fridge.

Might Dai, who was earnestly searching for ingredients, never expected a sudden assault. He had no time to react and was sent flying across the room.

Guy didn't stop there. He accelerated, raising his leg for a heavy follow-up stomp. But when he saw the face of the man scrambling to his feet, his leg froze mid-air.

Guy stared in disbelief.

"Papa?" His eyes bulged, and he stood frozen like a stone statue.

After a long silence, Guy snapped out of it, his gaze turning sharp. "Who are you? How dare you impersonate my father!!!"

"Are you... Guy?" Dai was equally stunned. He looked at his son and took a long time to process the sight. His "Mini-Guy" in a green jumpsuit had turned into... a delinquent?

He was bare-chested!

Wearing a flamboyant, wild floral shirt!

Was this really his obedient, honest, thick-headed son?

Hearing that familiar voice, Guy's body shook. "You even mimicked my father's voice... Who are you? How do you know him so well!?" The man's mannerisms and voice were identical to his late father's. If he didn't know for a fact that his dad was dead, he would have been fooled.

Seeing his son doubt him, Dai huffed, "I am your father!!!"

"Hmph! Your acting is good, but unfortunately, I've seen through you. My father died years ago. You're pretending to be him to trick me? Are you stupid, or do you think I am?"

"I see... so many years have passed. It seems you've grown up, Guy!!!"

"I'll show you whether I'm your father or not!!!" Dai stood up and began to ignite his chakra.

"The Gate of Opening, Open! The Gate of Healing, Open! The Gate of Life, Open! The Gate of Pain, Open! The Gate of Limit, Open!"

Dai's aura exploded as he instantly surged into the Fifth Gate of the Eight Inner Gates.

Might Guy's face was a mask of utter shock. The Eight Inner Gates was a technique his father had created. Aside from teaching it to Guy, he had never shown it to anyone else. And Guy had only ever passed it on to Rock Lee. In this world, no one else should know this Taijutsu.

Yet, this man who looked exactly like his father was using his father's signature move.

Dai deactivated the gates and returned to normal. "Believe me now?"

"This technique was my original creation!!"

"Aside from me, only you should know it, Guy."

Guy's eyes were wide as dinner plates. "You... you're really Papa?"

"But aren't you dead?"

"I buried you in that grave with my own hands!!"

"Uchiha Raizen... he revived me." Dai walked over to Guy, gave him a massive thumbs-up, and flashed his blindingly white teeth with a grin.

"Raizen revived you?" Guy couldn't believe it.

"Yes." Dai nodded seriously.

Once Raizen's name was mentioned, Guy began to believe. Even if an enemy could mimic his father's face, they couldn't just "learn" the Eight Inner Gates. Moreover, Raizen was wealthy and powerful—it wasn't impossible for him to have researched some forbidden secret arts.

"Guy, I am so happy to see you again. Seeing what you've achieved... I am so proud. That kick just now was very beautiful." Dai gave him another thumbs-up.

That familiar tone, that familiar praise—Guy was finally certain. This was his father. His father was alive. Guy scratched his head, looking incredibly apologetic. "Papa... sorry. I thought you were a thief and kicked you."

"Hahaha, it's fine! It was my fault for being abrupt and surprising you in your own home." Dai laughed heartily. "Guy, Captain Raizen said you became an Elite Jōnin. Is it true?"

Guy nodded sheepishly.

"Amazing, Guy! You really are my pride. You did what I couldn't do in a lifetime."

Being acknowledged by his father sent a surge of pure, unadulterated excitement through Guy. Every son wants his father's approval, and Guy was currently on cloud nine.

"Come, Guy! Let's go inside. You have to tell me everything that's happened over the years."

"Yes, Papa!!"

The Ghost in the Courtyard

After bringing Rin Nohara home and settling her in, Raizen rested for the night before heading back to the cemetery.

Back at the estate, Kurenai Yūhi and Anko Mitarashi discovered there was a new guest in the guest house.

"Kurenai, looks like your husband brought another woman home," Anko teased, leaning against the doorway with a smirk.

"Hmph! I want to see just what kind of 'vixen' was worth bringing home this time!!" Kurenai said, a hint of irritation in her voice. There were already so many women in the house, yet he kept adding more. She wanted to see what kind of charm this newcomer possessed.

"Hehehe, I want to see too." Anko was secretly a bit jealous herself, given her own "clandestine" relationship with Raizen.

The two entered the courtyard where Rin was staying. They saw a figure sitting quietly by the pond.

"Slender, petite, tiny waist, long flowing hair... from the back, this 'enchantress' looks like trouble!!" Anko whispered.

"Are you Raizen's new woman?" Before Kurenai could speak, Anko blurted out the question.

Rin heard the voices and turned around. When they saw that flawless, familiar face, both Kurenai and Anko froze in their tracks.

"You're Kurenai and Anko, right?" Rin offered a bright, healing smile.

That familiar smile. That familiar face. That familiar voice.

"Are you... Rin?" Kurenai's eyes nearly popped out of her head. Rin is dead! I heard she died at Kakashi's hand, and Kakashi brought her body back and buried her in the Konoha Cemetery himself!!

Anko stared at Rin with equal disbelief.

"Yes, I'm Rin," she replied with a gentle nod.

"B-b-but... aren't you dead?" Kurenai stammered.

"Yes, I was dead," Rin confirmed.

At those words, the hair on the back of Kurenai and Anko's necks stood up. D-d-did we just run into a ghost? They instinctively scrambled back several steps.

"Are... are you a ghost?"

"Rin, I don't remember us having any grudges! P-p-please don't haunt me!!!" Kurenai cried.

"Yeah, Rin! No grudges here! Don't take my soul! I never did anything to you! Kakashi is the one who caused your death—go find him!" Anko added, her voice trembling.

Rin was completely baffled. "What are you talking about? Ghosts? Haunting?"

She soon realized the misunderstanding and laughed. "Oh! I see. You think I'm a spirit!!!"

"Aren't you?" Kurenai stayed back.

"Giggle!!!" Rin laughed heartily. "I'm not a ghost, and I'm not back for revenge. I'm a real person revived by Raizen-kun!!"

"A real person revived by Raizen?" Kurenai blinked. Raizen had brought her home last night. But reviving the dead... it was too shocking to process.

"A real person?" Anko plucked up her courage, walked over, and poked Rin's porcelain-white cheek. "There's a pulse... body heat... you're really alive?"

"You actually came back to life!!!" Anko stared at her in awe.

Rin nodded with a beaming smile. "Mhm. I really am back, and I have Raizen-kun to thank for it."

"Incredible..."

"Even Orochimaru couldn't truly revive a person, yet Raizen did it," Kurenai said, still in shock. "Rin, do you feel like you're completely, 100% back?"

"Yes, I feel entirely whole," Rin replied.

"So, he basically sculpted this body for you?" Anko noted, staring at Rin's near-perfect, golden-ratio figure.

"When I woke up, I had this body. It must be Raizen-kun's work," Rin answered.

Looking at Rin's flawless physique, Anko felt a pang of envy. Even after drinking the Papaya juice and undergoing a transformation, she still couldn't match Rin's refined, perfect form. It was simply too perfect.

As she looked at the resurrected Rin, Kurenai's thoughts immediately drifted to her late father, Shinku Yūhi. If Rin could be brought back, surely her father could too. At that thought, her focus shifted entirely away from Rin.

"Rin, do you know where Raizen-kun went?" Kurenai asked urgently.

Rin shook her head. "Raizen-kun brought me back last night and went to rest. I haven't seen him this morning."

"Rin, Anko, you two chat. I have to go!" With that, Kurenai sprinted away.

Anko watched her go, knowing exactly what she was looking for. Once Kurenai was gone, Anko turned to Rin with a sly grin. "So, Rin... did that guy Raizen 'bully' you when he brought you home last night?"

Rin shook her head. "Raizen-kun is a very good man. He didn't bully me at all!!!"

"Really?" Anko looked skeptical. "He didn't even try to touch you or take advantage?"

At those words, Rin couldn't help but remember the moment of her resurrection, where Raizen had stared quite openly at her naked body. That was way too embarrassing to tell Anko. She shook her head vigorously. "No! After reviving me, he brought me here to settle in and went to his own room. He didn't do anything inappropriate."

"Seriously? He gave you a 'devilish' figure like that and didn't ask you to be his woman?" Anko pressed.

"Raizen-kun is so handsome... even if he didn't ask, I would offer myself to repay his kindness." To preserve her savior's reputation, Rin decided to play the "smitten maiden" card, making it seem like she was the one pursuing him rather than Raizen forcing her.

Anko was surprised. Raizen didn't take the chance to secure a child-bearer immediately? That was unlike him.

"Rin," Anko said in a warning tone, "you should be prepared. Raizen has many, many women. If you want to be with him, you have to be ready to share his love with others!!!"
