"Hm! It worked… Ugh…"
I smiled as the necklace's power surged through me. My Mana was already recovering at a staggering rate, doubling from 100% to 200% in real time.
With that settled, I decided to rest. Tomorrow I would explore the true limits of this new Trait.
It was going to be a long day.

"Bwun! Bwunnn!"
The sound of little Krarlak's voice pulled me from sleep. He was jumping on my bed again, calling my name the only way he knew how.
"Ugh… Krarlak, stop jumping on the bed…"
"Brun!"
He leaped onto me, hugging me tightly and licking my face. He had grown noticeably bigger every single day. Lizardmen truly matured far faster than anyone expected. Perhaps in a couple of months he'll be even bigger.
"Well, it looks like it's already late. Thanks for waking me up," I said, yawning as I sat up. "Now that my Mana is full again, what should I use Evolution on?"
My gaze wandered around the room before landing on Krarlak. For a brief moment, I wondered if I could evolve living beings too. The thought tempted me, but I quickly pushed it away. I wouldn't rob him of his childhood.
"Maybe Huginn would benefit from it…" I murmured. The poor crow had been struggling to grow stronger.
I called for him, and he soon flew in through the window carrying a still-living horned rabbit.
"Thank you, buddy."
I finished off the rabbit and completed my daily quest. A quiet surge of power filled me once more. At this rate, I would soon reach the next threshold. I felt no immediate changes after that, but I clearly felt that I was accumulating more and more power. Eventually, at some point, it would grow once more.
…Unless I forced it forward with Evolution?
The realization hit me like a spark. The possibilities this Trait offered were overwhelming. It had completely changed how I saw the world.
For now, I set the thought aside, but it lingered in the back of my mind.
"Atlas could be a good candidate too. The stronger my weapon, the stronger I become…"
There were also my family's weapons and armor, my brother's Familiars, and even Scaly. If I could evolve the young wyvern into an adult, our travels would become so much easier.
But first, I would test it on Huginn.
"Stay right there, buddy."
"Kaw?"
The little crow tilted his head in confusion as I gently petted his soft black feathers. I smiled, then activated the ability.
"Evolve."
FLASH!
A brilliant red and golden light erupted from my body, wrapping Huginn completely. Divine Power shaped itself into a glowing egg around him that began to pulse like a living heart.
BA-DUM!
BA-DUM!
BA-DUM!
With every beat, Huginn grew inside it. The egg expanded rapidly, soon filling most of my room.
"Woah?!"
I grabbed Krarlak and rushed outside just as the egg cracked open in a spectacular explosion of ethereal spiritual flames.
"Woooow!"
Krarlak watched in fascination while I shielded him. The flames felt strangely gentle. My eyes widened as a transformed Huginn emerged.
It was Huginn, but much different. He was no longer just a raven. Overflowing with the divine power of the sun, his feathers now shone in brilliant red and gold. A majestic crest rose from his head, and his beak gleamed like pure gold, and although his raven-like appearance remained, he was vastly different.
Even his beak had become gold, and his feathers rose from his head, creating a beautiful crest of fiery red and gold feathers.
"A-Amazing…!"
Our bond deepened instantly, transforming into something far more profound.
Ding!

"Incredible! Tier 4?!"
I stood speechless. I never imagined a simple raven could evolve this dramatically. The sheer potential left me breathless.
And yet, exhaustion quickly followed.
"Kaw!"
Despite his new majestic and intimidating appearance, Huginn was still the same. He looked at me expectantly, eyeing the horned rabbit.
"Sure, it's yours, buddy."
I handed it to him, and he eagerly tore into its flesh with his sharp beak. I nodded in satisfaction, then stepped out of my room, bathed quickly, and rejoined my family downstairs.
During breakfast, I told them about Huginn's evolution and the new Trait I had awakened from the gods' scroll. I also mentioned the mystical ink and asked if any Shaman could use it to tattoo powerful Runes on me.
"The Elders are the best at this," my father said.
"I agree," my mother nodded. "But they're often very busy… Would they really help her?"
"She's the village's future. If they refuse, I'll make them," Grandpa declared firmly, still enjoying his meal. "Brunhild, what you've received is an incredible gift! The power of Evolution has limitless potential. At this point, the gods themselves sing your name across the heavens. You are their divine herald, a hero in the making. You will shake the world, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. But as your family, we can at least help make the journey smoother."
"Thank you, Grandpa. Though I don't really like all that praise," I said, scratching my head with a shy smile. "Anyway, I'll head outside. I need to evolve Fenrir."
"Wait! Let me see too! I'm fascinated after what happened with Huginn!" my brother exclaimed, hurrying after me.
"I wonder if she could evolve this little one?" my mother mused, gently rocking a sleepy Krarlak in her arms.
"That wouldn't be right, Frigga. Children need their childhood," my father sighed.
"I was just joking!" my mother laughed.
Outside, I called for Fenrir. He came running from the village center where he had been playing with the children. After a good meal, my energy had fully recovered. It was time to strengthen my best friend.
"Alright, Fenrir. This might hurt a little, but I promise you'll come out much stronger," I said, placing my hand on his forehead.
He looked at me with trusting eyes and braced himself.
"Evolve."
FLASH!
Red, black, and golden energy surged through his body. Divine and spiritual power from my own soul merged with his. His fur, flesh, and bones were reinforced in an instant. He howled loudly, but the pain seemed bearable.
Fiery red markings appeared across his mostly black coat as he grew rapidly, soon towering over us. He had become large enough to carry our entire family on his back with ease.
"AWOOOOO!"
His powerful howl echoed across the village as the energy finally condensed and settled. When the light faded, a majestic new Fenrir stood before us, radiating the presence of an almighty being.
Ding!
