Chapter 1: The Haunted House That Wasn't Scary
Everyone in the town feared the old blue house at the corner of Lazy Street.
They said it was haunted.
And it was true.
A ghost named Gusty lived there.
But Gusty was not a scary ghost.
He was a lazy ghost.
Instead of floating through walls, he preferred floating to the sofa.
Instead of shouting "BOOO!", he yawned and said,
"Booo… later."
Chapter 2: Gusty Tries to Scare Someone
One night, a man named Tom moved into the house.
"This is my chance," Gusty said.
"I will scare him properly."
Gusty wore his best ghost face and waited until midnight.
Tom entered the room.
Gusty jumped out and shouted,
"BOOOOOO!"
Tom looked at him and said,
"Oh. Hi."
Gusty blinked.
"Why aren't you running?"
Tom replied,
"I thought you were a curtain."
Gusty felt very offended.
Chapter 3: The Ghost Gets a Job
The next morning, Tom made breakfast.
Gusty smelled toast.
He floated into the kitchen.
"Do ghosts eat?" Tom asked.
"I don't know," Gusty replied.
"But I like snacks."
Soon, Gusty became Tom's roommate.
He helped by:
Turning lights on and off
Scaring away mosquitoes
Making funny ghost faces
Tom said,
"You're the most useful ghost ever."
Gusty smiled proudly.
Chapter 4: The Town Finds Out
One day, the neighbors came to see the haunted house.
They knocked nervously.
Gusty opened the door and said,
"Welcome!"
Everyone screamed and ran away.
Gusty sighed.
"I didn't even try."
Tom laughed and said,
"Congratulations. You scared them by accident."
Chapter 5: The Happiest Ghost
From that day on, the house was famous.
Not for being scary—
but for being funny.
Gusty finally found his true talent:
Being a friendly, lazy, happy ghost.
And every night, he floated to bed and said,
"Scaring people is hard.
Making friends is easy."
