Seo-jin kept staring at the TV. She didn't see the game. Didn't hear the commentators. Didn't even noticed when Jason laughed at something on the screen. All she could hear was his voice. No. Her fingers curled up into her sleeves.she hated that it hurt. She hated that she cared. And she hated that even now she wanted him to look at her agian. Then a bright light flashed across the living room wall. Jason blinked "What the-" headlights . Outside. Min-joon stiffened. Seo-jin noticed that. "You expecting somone?" She asked quietly. He didn't awnser. A car door slamed. Jason stood up and walked towards the window. "Uh…. Min-joon?" Silence. Another door slamed.slow footsteps agianst gravel. Getting closer. Seo-Jin's stomach twisted Min-joon stood up. And for the frist time this night he looked nervous. Knock . Not loud. Not impatient. Just…. deliberate. Jason frowned. "I'll get it-" "No" Min-joon's voice came out sharper then it meant it to. "I'll do it." Seo-jin watched him walk to the door. Watched his hand hesitate on the handle. Then he opened it. Cold night air slipped inside. And there she was. Blue hair falling over her shoulders. Oversized hoodie. One hand in her pockets. Min-joons keys dangling from her fingers. Yu-na. She tilted her head slightly. " You weren't awnsering," she said calmly. Min-joons jaw tightened. " Why are you here?" "i drove." Min-join choked "You WHAT?!" Yu-na shrugged. "Relax. I didn't crash." Seo-jin stood up fast enough to get everyone's attention. Yu-na's eyes visible shifted. And landed on her. It wasn't rude. It wasn't freindly. It was measuring. "…. So this is Seo-Jin." Not a question. A statement. Seo-Jin swallowed. "You know me?" You-na's lips curved slightly. "I know everything about the girl who makes my brother forget himself." Silence. Min-joon snapped. " Yu-na!" But it was too late. Because Seo-jin was looking at him differently. And for the frist time that night. She wasn't the only one who's heart was racing.
Chapter 2 -part two
Yu-na didn't break eye connect. Not once. Seo-jin felt it that slilent judgment. That quit calculation. Min-joon stepped slightly in front of Yu-na. " You shouldn't be here." Yu-na's expression didn't change. "You shouldn't be here either." Jason awkwardly cleared his throat." Okay…. Am I missing somthing?" "No." Yu-na and Min-jin said at the same time.Seo-Jin crossed her arms."You drove with out a license just to drag him home?" Yu-Nan's gaze snapped back to her. " I drove because he wasn't awnsering his phone." She corrected calmly ." He always awnsers." The emphasis was clear. He awnsers me. Min-joon sighed. "Yu-na, go home." "No." That single word fell in the air. She stepped inside without waiting for premission. Seo-jin felt the shift immediately. This wasn't just a sister checking in.This was somone guarding somthing. Yu-na stepped in front of Seo-jin. Close enough that Seo-jin could see the faint scare under her eye." You've changed," Yu-na said quietly. Seo-jins breath caught. "….Excuse me?" "My brother," Yu-na said clarified." He dosent look at people the way he looks at you." Min-joon stiffened. "Thats enough." But Yu-na ignored him. For a split second it was .silence. It stretched, sharp as glass. Yu-na didn't break eye contact. " You don't get to tell me Thats enough." She said quietly. "Not when I see it. Not when I see you looking at her like that." Min-joons jaw tightened. His hands curled into fists at his sides, not out of anger but restraint. "You-na." He warned, voice low. But she stepped forward anyway. " You think i didn't notice? I've known you my whole life. You don't look at people. You don't care about people. And then she shows up and suddenly-" "Stop." His voice cracked this time. That made her pause. For a second, somthing vulnerable flickered across his face. Somthing raw. Somthing that looked almost like fear. " You dont know what you talking about." He muttered. Seo-Jin looked between them knowing she should go up to her room and Mabye she thought .mabye if she went the Tension would stop." I can go" she said softly. Everyone turned to her. Min-joons expression shifted instantly. The tension in his shoulders loosened, and somthing gentler replaced it. Yu-na noticed. That was exactly her point. "No." Min-joon said immediately. Seo-Jin gave a small, tight smile. " it's ok, I don't want to cause problems with you two." " Your not." He said. " You are." Yu-na countered at the same time. The words collide, Another silence. Seo-jin fingers curled into the sleeve of her sweater. Old instincts stirred fight back,snap,let the sharp version of herself take control. The version her bff Alice had to hold back. The version that didn't care who got hurt. But she didn't. Instead, she lifted her chin calmly." If you have somthing to say to me, say it." Yu-na studie her carefully. " You act sweet." She said. "But I dont know you. And I don't trust people i dont know." " Thats fair." Seo-jin replied evenly. Min-joon blinked. He hadn't expected that . Yu-na hadn't either. Meanwhile Jason was watching the hole thing go down. "But." Seo-jin continued, "Im not here to take anyone from you.Especially not you brother." Seo-jin heart was ponding she new she couldn't date her brothers best freind especially not when he has a protective sister her age. Yu-na's eyes narrowed." Then whats the point in this?" Yu-na clenched her hands into fists .Seo-Jin hesitated and looked away but not before saying one thing ." I don't know."
