"Call Marcos. She may have gone back to her parents' home."
Gabriel nodded and selected another number. The call connected after only two rings.
"Gabriel?"
Marcos' voice sounded tired, as though he too had barely slept.
"Is Felicia with you?"
A brief silence followed before Marcos answered.
"No."
Gabriel's grip on the phone tightened.
"She didn't come home?"
"No," Marcos replied, genuine confusion evident in his voice. "We haven't seen her since yesterday."
The answer caused the room to fall silent once more. If she hadn't returned to the Navarro residence, then there was only one conclusion left.
No one knew where she was.
Gabriel remained quiet for a moment before asking one final question.
"Has she contacted any of you?"
"No."
"And if she does," Marcos continued after a brief pause, "I'll let you know immediately."
"Thank you."
