Years ago, a massive war took place and everything was destroyed. When the war ended, it left behind poverty and devastation. People were starving, and many died from hunger and the cold.
But one day, a man stepped forward and said, "I will rebuild this country. I will give it wealth and glory." This man sounded very promising, and in their desperation, the people followed him.
The man kept his promise by creating a new system — a system of slavery. He said that anyone who became a slave would receive protection from the state and would be given a place to live and food to eat, as long as they worked for the state without pay.
Many resisted, but, as always, those who held power won, and the system of slavery was established. Those who became slaves were the weak and vulnerable.
Years passed, and the man kept his promise: he brought wealth to the country. This is how Elxis City was built, and the man became the king of that nation.
But those who became slaves never received what they were promised. The only thing they gained was a life worse than death.
