Mira Belle was holding unto Indumati's hand and pulling her along, "Come on, Miss Indy! Let's go get some ice cream!" Indumati wasn't sure herself and replied, heading towards the small ice cream stand in the busy downtown main street of a mid-class district of the City of St. Joan, saying, "Slow down, please, Little Mira?" Miss Mira Belle then said, "Oh you'll like it, this place has the best place for ice cream in this part of the city! You'll love it!" Indumati, despite her calmness and serious demeanor, smiled a bit seeing Mira Belle's excitement. She figured she might as well treat Mira Belle, this time. After all, she had gotten a bit of money from selling a fragment of moon silver to a small buyer connected to the Seelie, due to them using it for defense against the Dark Arts. Indumati and Mira Belle approached the small metal stand run by a small hog-like man who said, "Hey there, Miss Mira, would you like ice cream again? Also...who's this? Where's your dad?" Mira then frowned and said sadly, "The mob got him, sadly. He's not longer around, so miss Indy here adopted me." Indumati then said, "And she is a good and energetic girl too!" The man then said, "Sorry to hear that. I'll tell you what, both of you can get a little free sample, just for now." And he handed the both of them double scoops of whatever ice cream they wanted, with Mira Belle getting her chocolate and strawberry, and Indumati getting some strawberry and vanilla. Mira Belle led Indumati to a nearby bench and said, "Isn't it a nice day out, Miss Indy?" Indumati looked around a bit. She was worried about what troubles the day could bring and looking around, seeing if there was trouble. She saw someone snatch a purse nearby, but a couple of officers caught them as she was about to get up. Mira Belle held her hand and said, "See? It's okay. The police can handle a few bad guys without us, right?" Indumati then said, "I...apologize." Mira Belle then said, "You don't get out much, from the moon, I mean, right?" Indumati then said, "I only started my patrol of St. Joan recently. I remember fighting The Butcher just not too long ago and-" Mira Belle then said, "Then, Miss Indy, how about we hang out more? After all, true arts can do a lot more than just beat up bad guys, right? In fact, I know someone who's got an amazing one. At Red Rocket Pizzeria, I mean. Let me take you over there. And this time, I'm the one who will treat you." Indumati then said, "But, I couldn't. You need it more than I do right now-" Mira Belle then said, "And you can pay me back, okay? After all, you're now my mom, right?" Indumati then said, "M-mom?" Mira Belle then said, hugging Indumati's arm and saying, "Mommy, will you let me get you some pizza?" Indumati wasn't sure how to respond to this, but was curious about the true art that Mira wanted to show off to her from this "great true artist."
So she agreed, and, as soon as they were both done with their ice cream, they went forth to the apparently "World Famous" Red Rocket Pizzeria, which looked like a classic restaurant with a large giant cartoonish rocket atop the building and a big sign with comical jagged letters in a large orange planet logo with a red ring and a rocket in it from another era, with curved surfaces and aglow with yellow neon and red and orange tiles on the floor, and the smell of freshly baked pizza being made fresh behind the counter by various people of various races, including one very busy red-haired human in an orange and red smock. Mira came up to the counter with Indumati silently trailing behind, while the young lady, who was a little older than Mira Belle, clearly in her teen years, but not as old as Indumati, said to Mira, "Oh hey, Mira Belle! What can I do for ya? And...who's your friend? She looks nervous and out of it." Mira Belle then said, "That's Miss Indy, it's her first time here, and she doesn't get out much and is new to the city." The young lady then said, with a polite curtsy before Indumati, "Welcome, welcome, Miss Indy, I am known as Pazoni Pepperoni. I am, err...somewhat a local hero and celebrity around this part of the city. Shall I show you what I can do?" She then picked up a pizza box. Indumati was a bit nervous. What sort of thing was she doing and why was she looking at Indumati so intensely? And she could sense some sort of true art being used. Then the box opened to reveal a Pizza that Indumati, in passing interest, was curious to try from looking at the menu...the Pepperoni. And in the box was one that she wanted, perfect size and crust she liked and everything. Indumati asked, "How? How did you know?" Mira Belle then said, "Isn't it amazing? She can sense the pizza people want and generated it by her true art of the pizza." Indumati then said, "Incredible. Is...it edible?" Pazoni then said, "I couldn't make it if it were." Indumati then said, "What is it you ask for this?" Pazoni Pepperoni then said, "Just the base price of it." Indumati then inquired more, "So...how does it work?" Pazoni then said, "I'm not entirely sure, I think it's some sort of psychic sense?" Indumati paid and took a slice. Mira also got a pizza as well, the same way, as Pazoni showed her Mira Belle's favorite, a small extra cheese supreme pizza, with a bit of crushed pepper and perfect garlic. Indumati watched this carefully, trying to sense the true art and how it was channeled. It seemed like it did have some sort of psychic sense, but the pizza was formed inside the box based on it. Indumati thought for a moment if it was really safe to eat. Mira Belle, however, ate happily. Pazoni then asked Indumati, "I see you're a true artist, too. Isn't it great how they can do little things like that to make people happy?" Indumati smiled and said, "So, eh, how did you obtain the true art of Pizza? I thought food based arts were tied to the Realm of Food's lineage." Pazoni then said, "Well, you see, my uncle was a bit of a mad scientist who wanted to make the world's perfect pizza. So he kind of stole some Plutonium and make a nuclear powered pizza oven that exploded and I was caught up in-and survived-the explosion. And it fused my genes with pizza and gave me Pizza DNA!" Indumati raised an eyebrow. "Pizza...DNA?" Pazoni smiled sincerely and did a cheeky pose. She then replied to Indumati, "Most people for the first time hearing that don't believe it either, but the world is wide and vast and many stranger things have happened! After all, true arts, much like tulpamancy, are the power of IMAGINATION given form!" She then asked, "So, what kind of true arts do you have?" Indumati then said, "The Moon." Pazoni responded, "Ooh how mysterious! So, what does it do-" Then, suddenly, there was an explosion nearby at the front door, and vampires started to pour into the gap. Indumati and Mira were surprised by this. Pazoni, however, sighed, "Not this nonsense again." Mira then asked, "Again? Are they friends of yours?" Pazoni then said, "Obviously not. They're part of a crime group called "Nightbrood", whom are led by a guy who's super obsessed with me for some reason." The head of the vampires, who looked like a large floating vampire baby with a big head than said, "Pazoni! You know what we're here to ask of you! Come quietly or else!" Pazoni, however, drew her medium, which became a slice of pizza in her hand. Indumati decided to give her aid and assistance. Mira Belle nodded and agreed as well, and they drew their mediums. Pazoni Pepperoni then said, "You two can fight?" Mira Belle then said, "Yes, we're, like, super duper strong! We even brought down the Knave of Hearts!" Indumati then said, "I'll back you two up." In a serious and professional tone. The vampire baby then demanded, "Who even are you two anyway? Oh well, it doesn't matter. We'll capture you along with Pazoni and present you to our master, Count Edgeworth." Mira Belle then threw a pie right for the vampire baby's face while two vampires drew scythes and flew on wings to attack Pazoni and Indumati. Pazoni then said, "Good people! Watch and be amazing at Pazoni Pepperoni as I defeat Count Edgeworth's goons once again! PIZZA FIST!" She charged up a massive fist of cheese that condensed and twisted into a tight band and threw a big punch that blasted the enemies with a spiral of cheese and sauce in one punch, the baby vampire and the other 2 thugs got garlic on them and became allergic to it. The sun outside also started to shine through the clouds which caused them to lose strength. The baby then said, "Damn it…she's too strong. Did she do that last time?" He then eyed Indumati and said, "At least I can grab you!" And he flew for Indumati, but Indumati condensed a ball of light into a sphere by 1000 times and blasted him with a radiant blast that was as bright and intense as sunlight which blasted him away with force! He then flew and landed into a nearby dumpster, which promptly slammed down and struck his head! The two other thugs tried to get away, but Mira Belle caused them to slip on banana peels, making them slide into each other, knocking them out cold, before hurling pies in both of their faces. The people who saw this, though they were frightened, cheered for them. Especially for Pazoni. Indumati then said, "You're really strong." Pazoni then posed for pictures and smiled and said, "Ooh did you see me condense my cheese in 1000 different combinations and give it a big blow with the force of a big bang? Those guys went like a thousand feet!" Indumati, however, wasn't used to the attention. Mira Belle however then said, "Hey hey, wanna see some cool tricks? I am a clown, after all!" Mira did stunts on a ball she summoned and juggled pins. Indumati was swarmed and felt overwhelmed with the cameras and the questions on her. She then said, "I…I only did it to keep people safe." She then put on a brave face and began repairing the wall of the Pizzeria with her magic. Pazoni was impressed and said, "Welp, guess the insurance company won't raise the prices again. Thank you." Indumati repaired it 100% and said, posing with her wings, "Err…this is so that not only can my good friend conduct her business in peace, but so the good citizens of St. Joan can enjoy their pizza-and their days-in peace." The people were abuzz with talk of the "little clown and the bat girl with the moon staff" who were friends with Pazoni. Pazoni appreciated it greatly. Then, on the jumbo-tron overlooking the busy plaza, the football game cut out, and it showed a young man, a vampire, clad in black with razor blade designs over his clothes and with greasy black pointed hair which he combed. The people went quiet. Indumati knew whoever this guy was, despite his pretty face, he wasn't good. He then said, in a rather charismatic voice, "Greetings to all the wonderful people of St. Joan. I, The Awesome and Badass Count Edgeworth have hijacked the airwaves to sing a little song about my love for Pazoni Pepperoni! Pazoni! If you're seeing this, you know what I want. I want you baby. I want you so bad. As mine mine mine mine mine, shake that-" But then suddenly, the tv corporation seized control of the airwaves once again. Pazoni sighed heavily, embarrassment all over her face. Indumati asked, "Who was that? A friend of yours?" Pazoni then said, "He's the obsessed weirdo I was telling you about and also why the Nightbrood attacked Red Rocket Pizzeria. I know, very embarrassing." Mira then said, "He made my skin crawl." Indumati then said, "I'd say he has a bit of an unhealthy obsession…and that's worrying." Pazoni then said, "Eh, don't worry about. I can handle myself for now." Pazoni then took out some pizza and said, "Now let's not worry about that. How about everyone have one, on the house!" The people gathered and quickly felt a bit happier. Mira then said, "I quite like Pazoni." Indumati was staring back at the screen. She knew Pazoni thought she could handle herself, but…Count Edgeworth seemed legitimately dangerous. She was worried he might escalate and do something more extreme next time. Pazoni came to Indumati and said, "Hey, it's really okay, yeah? But I can see you are like me, eh? Hey, let's not worry about that, for now. Let's get some pizza." Indumati took it and eat it and it felt good. Truly the mortal's golden slices with just the right amount of cheese eased her up a bit. Indumati then said, "Hey Pazoni, I am a bit worried though. About that. I think it might be better if we all keep in touch with each other." Mira then said, "I already have her on speed-dial." As she typed in Pazoni's number. Pazoni then said, "I suppose you're right. We heroes gotta support each other, yeah? Especially when it's so dangerous out there. We can't be having constant fights or thinking we can solo everything." Mira and Indumati agreed and agreed again to keep in touch. Pazoni resolved not to let fear stand in her way or the way of the people as she resumed her business. As Indumati and Mira Belle were about to leave, Pazoni mentioned, "Hey, I know another true artist. Could you check up on them? Now, they're a bit of a NEET, you know. Their hero name is Odysseia and they operate the Cyber Café and Arcade on the other side of town." Indumati agreed, and Mira Belle then took Indumati's hand and said, "Ooh, you're going to love them." Indumati then said, "But Pazoni-" Mira Belle then said, "Don't worry, Count Edgeworth and his crew have been bothering her for some time, and she's beat them back each time. She'll be fine. Besides, we can always back her up if she gets in trouble." Indumati agreed for now, noting that Pazoni seemed very happy to resume work. It seems, too, that the people loved and supported her. Indumati smiled at that. She wanted to be like that too.
On their way to the Arcade, Indumati and Mira were walking through the busy streets. Indumati was cautious and staying close to Mira Belle. Suddenly, through a crowd of people, there was the loud roar of engines, and a bunch of bikers started to rip and tear through the crowd. The people were clearly in a panic about this. Indumati was on guard, when suddenly, in the plaza before the two heroines, a group of three bikers roared in formation as they ran around and nearly ran over some people as they did, and they were led by a man with a spiky mohawk in shades. He then said, in a loud voice, revving up his engines nice and loud, "We are claiming this territory in the name of The Rebels!" The people were clearly frightened, with rumors of them being a vicious and violent gang going about who were looking to expand their territory into more profitable businesses. Suddenly, their leader stepped off the bike and approached a stand and said, "You, you're giving us free food for now on. And also your money." The business owner was frightened but stood firm, then Mike revved up his engine loud and said, "No is not an acceptable answer." Then, a little kid in the crowd threw a rock that hit the leader's helmet. Mike then turned and said, "Hey hey hey, now, who threw that?" The young kid then stood his ground, picking up another rock and said, "We don't need gangsters around here! Get out of here, villain!" The leader than said, "Oi, calling me a villain? That's rude. I'm a legitimate businessman and a reasonable guy. However, I ain't gonna tolerate disrespect from some kid." He then motioned his hand to call his crew. "Boys, get him." The hog like biker approached, snorted as he did, but then, Indumati shot a bullet that shattered the bike engine, causing the biker to collapse on his face into the cobblestone ground. The leader than said, "What? Who the hell-" He turned to see Indumati, smiling herself, while Mira jumped at the enemy hog-like Biker. The leader than said, "Oi, you trying to be a hero, girl?" Indumati then said, "What? You're clearly being a villain." The leader grimaced and spat, "Tch, I'll show you a villain. Bunson, get her." Then, the other biker, who had bio-mechanical parts and was clearly a cyborg, got off and aimed a burning torch of flame right at her, but Indumati used her water magic to block the incoming blow, before she blasted him away with a big bubble of water right into a trash can nearby. The leader turned to his other guy, who was fighting Mira. The other minion, Hawg Wild, used a headrush towards her, but got hard-countered by a boxing glove that uppercut him right into a nearby trash can next to the one Indumati blasted the other one in. The leader grimaced and went, "Hey hey, nobody roughs up my crew and gets away with it! Prepare yourself to fight the legendary Mike the Bike!" Mira and Indumati stared at him incredulously ad Mira then said, "Legendary?" Indumati then replied, "He just seems like a common thug to me." Mike, however, then said, as he combed his hair and did a dramatic pose, "Prepare yourself for my true art!" He then summoned his bike and it shot off a couple of rockets into the crowd! Mira then said, "Hey, that's dirty!" Mike then laughed and said, "Try and stop me, if you're able!" Indumati, however, used special magic to redirect the rockets right for Mike, who saw this and quickly moved to try and evade them, but one of them struck his wheel and a bit of shrapnel cut him on his face, which clearly surprised by this. He felt like he was on the ropes and going to lose for sure if this kept up and then quickly responded by spewing out some noxious gas from his bike, which covered the field and gagged Indumati and Mira with toxins and watered their eyes, before he sped off, running away from the fight, saying, "I ain't letting a couple of nobody heroes turn me in to the fuzz!" Indumati quickly used Sylph to blast away the noxious fumes, but Mike had gotten away quickly. Mira Belle then turned to the crowd and said, "Is everyone okay?" Indumati knew they came first, and she treated some poisoning from the noxious gas, and then said, "He got away…" Mira Belle then said, "It's okay, for now. At least we got his two gang members." Indumati noted however, "He must of used the rockets as a diversion to get away while setting up the poison fumes." Mira then responded, "I think that could have been his intent, but maybe not?" Later, the police came to capture the two gang members, and, due to Rebels activity, they increased patrols, however, Indumati and Mira Belle made themselves scarce, as they didn't want to deal with police over fighting in public, with Mira Belle stated, "We are basically vigilantes who don't belong to a known hero group." Indumati then said, "There's hero groups?" Mira Belle then responded, "Mostly, the big one is The Big-League Association. Though true artists fighting each other is considered vigilante work." Indumati then said, noting, "Perhaps we can make our own then?" Mira then responded, "Probably a safe bet, to be taken seriously and avoid more trouble than we're already in." Indumati wanted to look into this later but first decided to keep her promise to Pazoni to check up on "The Neet".
Mike, however, when he rounded a corner, slammed his fist down on his bike after getting away and was angry and adamant and frustrated, "Damn it. Stupid magical girls, they ruined everything!" He then drove off in a huff back to his abandoned gas station layer near the abandoned junkyard in the run-down downtown area, angry and fuming as he went. The Conductor, his number 2, who wore a yellow and black shirt like a railroad crossing sign and had on flashing light glasses that said, "Boss, what's wrong?" Mike then said, "Stupid ass heroes ruined my fun!" The Conductor smiled and then said, "Yeah, things have gotten rough lately with them beating everyone down in the underworld. You hear what happened to the Knave of Hearts recently?" Mike then said, pouring himself a beer while slamming it down after guzzling it, "Stupid magical girls!" The Conductor then said, "Boss, I actually have something for you. From the other gangs." Mike sighed and said, "This better be worth it." As he tore it from his subordinates' hands and read it. Mike actually was pleased. "Hey boys!" His crew, who were hanging around, got to attention to hear their boss. Mike then said, "Seems like the other gangsters in the area wanna work together to bring down the heroes in this dumb city. Now, I had a rough time today because of them, so, let's go hear em out, huh?" The crew was curious, especially as the saw the octopus logo. They had heard of someone getting the gangs together called "The Mysterious Benefactor" who opened said logo. It was an invitation to Join Octopus 8.
Meanwhile, Indumati and Mira arrived at the Arcade, which looked like a big building with flashing neon lights and posters for games and anime in the window, and a large welcoming pair of doors which opened to let them within, and there was a bright red logo on a white and wood-grained sign that said, "Magnavox Arcade and E-Sports", Indumati and Mira walked in. Mira was joyful and happy about this and led Indumati around to help relax. Indumati was worried and looked upon the strange devices that had flashing screens and box like shapes and the smell of cheap food and cries of children, and saw many kids playing games, going around a play area, playing laser tag in a laser tag area, and even reading manga in private. Mira walked up to the counter and put down a bit of money and said, "Tokens, please." Indumati then asked, "Shouldn't we check on Odysseia?" Mira then said, "I mean, yes, but come on, let's have some fun first. Now, what do you wanna play? Martial Master 2 Mega Edition? Generation X Vs The Illuminati? Rumble Ninja Night 7" Indumati sighed and said, "I guess we can…" Mira took her to a nearby cabinet of an arcade game and said, "Come on, play with me, please, dear momma Indy?" Indumati then said, "I…okay?" And they started off playing "Dancin' All Night 4". Mira was quite wild in her movements as she played on the pad. Indumati paid close attention to the arrows and moved her feet slowly, but missed a few, before Mira said, "Come on, step it up!" So Indumati, not wanting to lose, used her wisdom eye to look at the arrows and move with dance-like fluid motions all about, which drew some people looking. Mira Belle then said, "Ooh getting' serious? I see you have some competitive spirit! I like that!" She then moved more wildly as if she practiced things a million times, but Indumati maintained her patience and cool. Mira missed more than Indumati, and Mira then said, "How did you do it, Indumati?" Indumati then said, "Patience and observation. Once you release it's all patterns and plays with the beat, it's fairly simple." Then from the crowd, a girl's voice then said, "You two have some smooth moves." They saw a girl dressed in white, black, and brown, with a red logo on her chest. She looked like a girl with long dark brown hair and a clean, thin, beautiful appearance. The crowd then said, "Gaming goddess Odyessia-sama…" Odysseia then said, "Miss, with the bat wings, you are indeed right. I think you would make a top tier gamer yourself." Indumati blushed a bit and said, "So, you're Odysseia…Pazoni asked us to come see you." She said, stepping off the stage. Odysseia then said, "Ah, Pazoni is a good friend of mine, after all, what goes well with games than a bit of pizza?" Mira then said, "How are things? You doing okay?" Odysseia then said, "Ever since we opened our doors to engage in e-sports and invested in the manga industry? I've been doing quite well. Of course, my true art is a big draw here." Indumati looked at her curiously. She sensed a true art at work around her, like some sort of aura of some sort made of what she could only describe as electricity given form. Odysseia then said, "I see you can use true arts too? And who are you, miss bat-wings?" Indumati then said, "Oh, sorry for staring. I am known as Indumati." Odysseia then said, "You can see it, can't you? The phase electron lifeform attached to me. It's true, I am bonded with her quite nicely and quite close." Indumati then said, "Phase…what?" Odysseia then responded, "Oh just a type of tulpa made from the Media Dimension. Ever since recent times, it's been getting more and more busy and growing fast, after all. So people started calling beings born of tulpamancy there "Phase Electron Lifeforms" since they're basically living electronic entities. I guess you could call them technology spirits or something, if you want to call it that like the other types of tulpas used to be called." Indumati was amazed Odysseia was so open about this information with new people…since Indumati liked to keep things more secret about herself, since the faerie world can be harsh about letting too much slip at once. Odysseia led the two heroines to her office, which was a small upstairs area with a large screen TV hooked up to several box like objects that Indumati didn't recognize. Odysseia then said, "Hey, why do you act like you've never seen these kinds of things before, miss Indumati?" Indumati then said, "I don't have a lot of that sort of thing back home." Odysseia was confused and said, "Ah, where do you live then?" Indumati then said, "The moon, actually." Odysseia then said, excited at that as she laughed joyfully at it, "What? No kidding! That's awesome!" Mira then asked, kindly but quickly, "So, how has your hero endeavors been?" Odysseia then said, "Ah, straight to business. I like that. You know, I heard that you two engaged in some exciting behavior lately…the news is going nuts about how ya helped Pazoni toss out some vampires from her place? Not to mention how you dealt with The Rebels. Also the police have been going nuts about unregistered heroes messing up The Knave of Hearts. They asked me about it since we were close, Mira." Odysseia then patted Mira's head and hugged her close and said, "What happened with you sucks. I'm terribly sorry." Mira then said, "The fault lies with The Knave and The Queen of Fools, not with you." Odysseia then said, "Anyway, I'm glad to see you doing okay, you know? Hey, if you need anything, let me know alright? After all, I know what it's like to lose someone due to bad guy's activities." Indumati listened closely but sipped a bit of soda to herself. Odysseia then said, getting online on a computer that looked like a bunch of screens before everyone, "So…what are you two going to do now?" Mira then said, "I guess we need to register. Not to mention we need to continue under civilian identities without too many questions." Odysseia then said, "In that case, you'll have to change your appearance and your school, since the fuzz are looking for you. And…miss Indumati? What will you do?" Indumati then said, "I guess I'll need work of some sort, to support Mira Belle as well as work in secret." Odysseia then said, "In that case, I can help you guys set all that up. Since you seem unfamiliar with technology, I can help you with that. Pazoni will give in a good word, too, I'm sure. Not to mention you two already have a bit of a rep behind you for hero work. I know, maybe you can get into the Big-League Association? Or do you not wanna affiliate with them? I have to warn you-you can't tell them you've been doing unregistered hero work since that is technically illegal. So…you'll be starting from zero." Indumati sighed, but understood and then asked, "Who are they?" Odysseia then said, "They're the big shots among heros in the city, so registering Is controlled by them due to their influence. I'm sure if you register and work with them, they'll get ya set up with work. Of course, I should tell you, very few of them aside from the elite guys actually do real hero work anyway, but I know you're different, you're like me. You won't only show up during major incidents and will do hero work. Just…keep that in mind." Mira Belle then said, "And I can register as well?" Odysseia then said, "Mira, you haven't registered yet?" Mira Belle then said, "I was a couple of days ago, but with my family and the services, I missed the deadline at my old school…" Odysseia then replied, "Ah, is that all? No problem." She typed a bit on a slipped in a register for Mira Belle on a student basis, so she could qualify for student training in true arts. As for Indumati, Odysseia then said, "You don't have registration, do you?" Indumati then said, "I didn't even know about it…and I was raised on the moon, mostly." Odysseia then said, "Hmm…that shouldn't be too hard, after all, some people from other realities do have the same issue." She typed a few things and said, "You have a register all ready too. Of course, both of you will need to get them at the respective places with the Big-League Association, but you can easily go together, seeing as Indumati is currently adopting you, Mira." Odysseia then closed out and said, "I'll mark it on your phones too, so you know where to go." She quickly used pixel magic to mark it on the map. Indumati mapped it to her bat network in the city that was flying about to make a big map of the city, and knew where it was. Mira Belle then said, "Thanks Odysseia." Odysseia then heard an alarm blare off. Odysseia then said, "I have to go, to the arcade. Someone or something dangerous is inside." Indumati then said, "I'll go with you." Odysseia then said, "Ah, very well. You and Mira can back me up if things get dicey." And the 3 of them headed downstairs and saw a bunch of Ewahs, which had shadowy dark forms, causing trouble around the place. Indumati then said, "Ewahs…they likely have a source nearby." Odysseia then said, "You know how to do a Mind-Dive?" Indumati then said, "Yes." Odysseia then said, "Me and Mira will take care of the Ewahs and protect the people. You get on that, okay?" Indumati tracked the source to a girl on the floor who's parents seemed pretty worried about her due to her cuddled up on the floor and pouring out dark miasma. The parents than asked Indumati, "What are those things? What is happening to our daughter?" Indumati then said, "It's okay, Odysseia can handle the monsters. I, umm…have a bit of training in psychic healing, and can deal with what's happening. Is it okay to do so?" The father than said, "Ah really? That's good. It's nice to have someone here who can do that. Sure, go ahead." Indumati then synced her magic into the dream-space of the girl's mind and dove in…and saw a dark band in her mind's memory core that was causing it to glitch and overload with inky monsters, mostly formless from petty resentment and selfishness given form. Indumati battered away the monsters while moving in towards the memory core holder, which she knew was sensitive., but then a giant dark snake appeared and beared it's fangs at her and spoke, "Glory to Lumina Night, the chosen vessel of Lilith! All hail Red Moon, who's light shall bring the world's end under it's baleful curse!" Indumati then said, "That makes you an enemy of mine. Prepare yourself." The snake moved in to attack and struck at Indumati, though she dodged quickly, so it started blasting poison breath at her, which struck Indumati and started to melt her and cause her to gag and collapse. The snake then moved down and opened It's mouth and said, "A pathetic attempt…prepare to die." But the illusion faded. The snake turned and said, "What? Where are you?" And then a beam of light struck it in the head, killing it in an instant. Which weakened the band's hold. Indumati then made a magic circle around the band made of light that struck with surgical, precise lasers and broke it apart without damaging the core. Once it dissolved, the Ewahs inside and outside started to disappear back into the dream-space. Indumati also use white magic to heal what areas she could, to make sure there was no permanent psychic damage to the girl. And then exited. The father than said, "I don't know what you did, but that weird energy stopped and the monsters disappeared." Indumati then said, "I'm glad." The father shook her hand and said, "You're a hero, miss." Indumati then said, "I only did what I could." She then turned her attention to the halls of gaming, where many of it was destroyed in the battle. Odysseia then said, "That's gonna be hard on our budget for sure." Indumati then stepped forward and said, "Anyone hurt?" Odysseia then said, "Miss Mira got everyone out while I fought those monsters. No injuries or dead, thanks to you and Mira's quick response." Indumati then said, "Then let me do a little of the magic of the silkies that Titania taught me." She then called forth the silkies and they started to repair all the broken devices and objects like it was nothing. Odysseia then watched and said, "You know, I wish I could do that. You'll have to teach me that little trick, maybe sometime after this." Indumati then said, "I can do that easily, as long as you have a slot open for a Talent Crystal." Odysseia then said, "Huh, no kidding? You have one of those? Nice." Mira then let everyone know it was safe, and the people were amazed at the repairs and started praising Odysseia. Odysseia then said, "Hey, don't forget to thank Mira and Indumati, after all, it's because of them that the incident ended without issue." The people didn't know them and thought they were new heroes and took pictures and shook hands and took autographs and all. Indumati then said, "I, eh, didn't do much, aside from psychic healing to stop the Ewahs." The people were impressed even more at the mention of psychic healing since that was high level true arts in their eyes. Odysseia then said, "Now, let's get back to playing, okay?" Odysseia then said privately to the two, "Hey, you two handled yourselves well. I think I like you especially, Miss Bat-Wings." Odysseia then gave Indumati her contact information and said, quietly to them, "Don't forget the register, okay?" Indumati and Mira agreed, happy that Odysseia was doing well. Indumati then asked Mira, "You did well too. You made sure everyone was safe." Mira then said, "It's what you would have done, mama." Indumati then replied, "You, eh, don't need to call me that." Mira then hugged her and said, "You are awesome, miss fairy mama." Indumati hugged back and patted her head and said, "Now, let's get out of here. And try to go back to having fun for the rest of the day. Because this sure has been a wild one for us." Mira then said, "I know right? It seems like a bunch of not nice people are causing trouble everywhere we go." And so, they left, in peace, with Indumati holding Mira Belle's hand and heading down the street. When suddenly, a shot rang out!
Indumati was hit directly in the head with the shot, but the illusion faded and showed a wooden doll made of leaves and twigs. The shooter, who looked like an old English hunter, was surprised by this, and quickly got on a stone over his eyes. Indumati was moving fast using the moonlight and she was using her illusions gracefully to try and delude the shooter, yet he aimed up, right for her actual position and fired a shot that launched an iron net right for her! Indumati, however, quickly shifted herself with special magic to dodge the blow. Indumati then flew down towards the roof. The shooter looked at her with a cold steely gaze. He then said, "This was supposed to be an easy job." Indumati then said, "Who hired you?" He then said, "Well, that hardly matters now. I think this hunt might be thrilling after all." He then tossed a trap at Indumati which erupted in steel wires that quickly moved in on her, but she shifted herself through it and aimed a lunar bullet from sub-space to shoot the gun out of his hands as he was trying to shoot her as he saw her move towards him, and he threw a grenade of smoke and metal flakes-iron-towards her. Indumati collapsed on the ground, burning from the flakes. The shooter grabbed his gun and said, "Good thing the person who hired me told me a bit about you a head of time. Now…it's over." Indumati smiled and said, "Didn't you forget something, mister?" in a calm friendly voice. He quickly then said, "Huh? What do you mean?" Indumati then said, "I wasn't alone." He then quickly turned to see Mira Belle come at his face with a hammer and smash him with enough force to rock the arena. However, he was quick and dodged the incoming attack and tried to mount a counter-attack, but quickly slipped on a banana peel, and fell into a cream pie. Indumati shook herself off and got up, still hurting a bit from the iron. Indumati and Mira approached the shooter and quickly captured him. He had a bit of pie on his face and was bound in chains of light. Mira then said, "Who are you? Why did you attack us?" The shooter than said, "You think I would tell you that?" Indumati smiled a bit and approached and said, "It's okay, mister. I don't expect you to. However, let's play a game. I'll get the information from you, and I will see that not one hair on head is harmed, at least, for now." He then snickered and said, "A fairy's trick, huh? Well, you can try, but I am not talking." Indumati then cast a cloud of sleep over him as he was trying to undo the chain, and then he said, "You said you wouldn't-" Indumati then said, "Oh? I'm not going to harm you for now, as per our agreement. I will, however, get that information. Of course, I never said you had to talk." He drifted off to sleep as he tried to shout that she had tricked him, and Indumati invaded his dreams with her magic and found out he was hired by Lumina Night. She tried to delve further, but a dark force kicked her out of the dream for looking into Lumina Night. However, Indumati knew enough. Mira then said, "Did you find out?" Indumati then said, "It appears Lumina's magic is upon him. She tried to stop me, but I found out it was her. I saw an image of her hiring him by a contract do to so over the phone. Also…it appears Lumina Night told him that she's going to hit the State Library of Magic Arts tonight. We better hurry and stop her." Mira then said, "So, what should we do with him?" The police were rushing to the scene because they heard of a shooting. Indumati left him in a magic chain that was disguised as a regular chain, let him nearby the site. Indumati herself remained invisible and hid in the shadows with Mira. Ruff Cuffem, who heard of the incident, arrived and found the bound old Englishmen and woke him up. The hunter surrendered, but remarked to himself that he now really really wanted Indumati's head on his wall as she would make the most excellent prize. The police took him in for questioning about the incident later, and he was held for a bit, but was uncooperative, but they found the gun at the scene that belonged to him. Ruff wondered, however, "Who could have been his target? And who stopped him?" As he recognized the suspect as a famous big-game hunter from an old animal network show who had gone missing and had become a rumored "hunter of men." Lerajie, as he called himself, thought…men had been a boring and tiresome game. And that…if he could defeat heroes, well, that would be a game worth pursuing. And already made plans to escape prison…though he hoped he didn't have to meet the Red-Eyed Woman again. For some reason, he felt especially frightened to even think of her, let alone say her name. All he remembered was meeting her to assassinate "Indumati Eveningnight" and the "Evil Eye" she activated back then by opening it on her head and being hit with intense dark magic waves that hit his mind, that she remarked was "insurance" when he inquired about it afterwards as he vomited on the floor.
The silent alarm the grand halls of historical and magical arts in the St. Joan City's own State Library of Magic had been tripped. And the only two entities that broke in was a woman with red eyes clad in black stockings and a red set of short-shorts and a black and white striped outfit with a red shirt and a red moon necklace on. She was accompanied by a small bat-like minion with large eyes and an angry expression known as "Bad Bat". It was Lumina Night, leader of Red Moon, a growing terror organization that, for now, was operating here and there in the city, but had big plans, big plans extending far beyond the city of St. Joan. But that required one step first. To unleash the Ewahs from all minds, hidden under the surface, into reality. So far, she was able to mimic this on a small scale, and spread much needed fear that made her feel powerful and alive. Lumina Night, however, wanted to spread as much fear and panic as possible. And to do that, she wanted the Book of Creatures, which the Wizard Gray created as a "Seal" on tulpamancy that held back and hid destructive tulpamancy behind people's minds to help limit their power and influence in the world. Lumina Night grabbed the book from the shelf, which had a red cover that had the cover she was looking for, but noticed something was off. The book sprang to life and went on the offense with aiming a hard crushing bite with jagged sharp teeth right for Lumina's arm, but Lumina opened her eye and unleashed a dark aura of fearful energy, which made it cower and whimper and fall into despair into the palm of her hand, scaring it into submission to her. Bad Bat then said, "Mistress, that's…not what we're looking for." Lumina Night then said, "It's just an Agrippa, an object spirit that inhabited a book with a lot of malice attached to it." Bad Bat then said, "Is…mistress going to punish me?" Lumina Night then sighed and said, "Actually, no. In fact, I look at this as an opportunity. As Indumati should have gotten what I wanted her to see by now. I think I'll use this Agrippa to test her abilities a bit. Of course, at it's current level, it cannot do much. However, The True Art of Fear comes with one power that can help with that." Bad Bat saw her pour dark energu into her hand and give the Power of Darkness, of Fear, into the Agrippa, which made it glow with a malevolent aura of darkness. Bad Bat laughed and was amazed and then said, "This is why mistress is the best." Lumina Night then laughed a bit and said, "Oh, then you'll love tonight. Now, let us disappear…for now." She then opened a portal into the Nightmare Realm, and decided to watch the unfolding chaos from afar, waiting, watching, for Indumati, the survivor of the Massacre of the Arcs to show up.
Indumati and Mira Belle arrived at the Library, where there was major signs someone broke in, but no Lumina. Indumati felt uneasy, she could feel something is wrong. Then, her and Mira Belle saw a book laying on the ground that was glowing with a familiar dark energy, one both of the heroes knew too well from their previous experiences. It was the magic of the true art of Fear. Of Lumina Night. Indumati remarked, "She's not far from here. She's probably watching somewhere nearby." Mira Belle then said, "Umm…why would she mess with a random book though?" Mira wanted to approach and examine the book, but Indumati put her staff between the book and Mira and then said, "Wait, don't approach carelessly. That's not an ordinary book." The book, sure enough, rose up from the ground and grew large, into a giant blood-red tome with a scary face of a daemonic humanoid on it. And opened to reveal a sharp set of teeth between it's pages and a blood red haze of a mouth inside of it. Mira Belle then said, "What sort of monster is that?!?" Indumati then said, "An Agrippa. Be careful, one at this level is extremely dangerous. After all, it can trap people inside it's pages in worlds within it!" Mira Belle saw the book monster rare and look at her, licking it's lips with a tongue and asked, rather afraid, "What happens exactly when it does that?!?" Indumati then said, "It will try to write a terrible ending for the person trapped inside." The book started to give chase to Mira Belle, but Mira Belle took Indumati's hand through a flaming hoop to evade the incoming attack and escape to the library entrance. She then smacked her butt towards the creature and said, "Try and get me, if you're able, big boy!" Indumati then said, "What, taunting the monster?" Mira Belle then said, "You should do it too. It helps ya be less scared of combat, ya? Plus, it lets you trip up the bad guys when they react." She then hid a pin behind her and signaled to Indumati. Indumati paid attention and let the monster approach while pouring out moon dust everywhere. The monster moved to consume them both, but it bit into a doll made of leaves and twigs…which had a flaming pin attached to it that Mira stuck to it. Which caused the book monster to burn, which it spat out, but it was flaming and burning and it cast a water spell to put it out, which doused the flames, but left it's book wet and burnt. It chased Indumati and Mira outside into the moonlit garden with well-cared trees and fresh cut grass that had a statue of a famous knight on horseback in the center. Indumati saw the book chase them, though it clearly was damaged. Indumati then said, "Good trick. I am very proud of how quick you're learning." Mira then responded, "It's not over yet." The monster that started to go through it's pages and cast a large fireball right for Indumati. Indumati, however, cast a wave of water to block the incoming blow, and the book used the water and flames to move through and try to consume Indumati within it and started to do it's dreaded special technique to try and vacuum Indumati inside of it! Mira Belle, however, quickly rushed to Indumati's defense and threw a flaming pin inside the creature's pages, which it swallowed and started to burn from within itself, which caused it to gag and cough and burn up. It tried to spit out the pin, but burnt to a crisp. Indumati was happy and sighed and patted Mira Belle's head and said, "Good work. You have natural talent for this." Mira Belle then said, "I hope to grew even stronger, like you." But, the victory was short lived, because the two heroes heard clapping, sarcastic and slow, from someone approaching them. Indumati moved to protect Mira Belle and tensed up. She knew who it was. She saw the black arc wings and the red sinister eyes and a dress colored like blood and shadow itself. Mira Belle then said, "That's the red eyed woman who almost led me to-" Indumati then said, "Lumina Night." Lumina Night then said, "I am not surprised that the Agrippa failed, after all, it wasn't very strong when I first found it in that library anyway." Indumati then said, asking, "Why did you come here, Lumina?" Lumina Night then smiled and laughed and said, "Oh, just looking for something that turned out not to be there, that's all. I'll leave you to guess what I'm after, of course. After all, paranoia and panic over such things is so beautiful…much like your anger towards me right now." Mira Belle asked, "What is she talking about? How do you two know each other?" Indumati then said, "Mira, stay back, this one's dangerous. After all, she's responsible for the Massacre of the Arcs-my people." Mira shook her head and said, "I cannot allow you to face her alone, after all, I can tell she's dangerous and not nice." Lumina Night then said, "And to think, you need a little mortal child to back you up. Tell me, Indumati, are you ready for me?" Lumina Night's evil eye opened and an intense wave of panic and fear spread across the battlefield. Indumati, however, held fast, holding her white moon staff that glowed with a light in the darkest hour. Indumati then said, "I shall bring you to justice, no matter what." The voices in the darkness covering the battlefield came alive and laughed maniacally all around. Indumati cast a beam of moonlight that scattered into multiple beams towards Lumina. Lumina's harsh laugh filled Indumati and Mira with dread. Lumina Night dodged the incoming beams of light and opened the Evil Eye to blasts a wave of fear that struck both of the heroes with a wave of panic. Indumati started to hallucinate and see the death and horror of the massacre of the Arcs flash in her head. Indumati held her head in pain as it felt like harsh needles and dread poking at her brain. Lumina Night began harshly laughing and it felt, to Indumati, like piercing sharp pains with each bit of it. Lumina Night then said, "You know the only thing that awaits you here is the same as the rest of the Arcs-death." Indumati, however, held firm and cast a wave of white magic around here that blasted away the fear and blasted away Lumina Night, and brought forth a wave of relief to Indumati's mind. Indumati's soul shone with the light of courage, much to Lumina Night's dismay. Indumati then said, "Sorry, but you won't be beating me today. Prepare yourself, Lumina!" She then unleashed a giant electrical moon that shoot towards Lumina, who flew up and dodged the incoming giant ball of lightning flying towards her. Lumina Night then fires beams of darkness towards Indumati and Indumati soared to evade them and countered with waves of light that crossed blows with each beam and headed right for Lumina Night, who quickly opened the evil eye that blasted a wave of darkness that blotted out the moonlit rays and caused Indumati to feel a sense of vertigo as she flew, with Lumina Night delivering an incoming slash from a red energy scythe coming towards Indumati. Indumati felt her foot on the ground and pushed herself up and towards Lumina, and Lumina swung right for Indumati, but to her surprise, Indumati disappeared. Lumina saw the moondust around her. She then smiled. "I see that whoever or whatever trained you taught you well. However, I have not yet begun to fight." Mira then come in from the side and threw a large amount of pins right for Lumina Night that struck at her, but Lumina Night unleashed a giant wave of a dark black wolf towards Mira that swallowed the pins and threatened to swallow her, but Indumati quickly pushed Mira out of the wave and took the full brunt of the attack which grabbed her and started to bunch into her and crush her and infect her with darkness as it crushed on her body and made her bleed. Lumina Night then said, "Time to end this. Die." But then, a stray pin struck her in the head, causing her attack to dissipate.Mira then said, "Don't underestimate us that easily." Indumati got up and healed herself up with white magic. Lumina Night then said, "Annoying little brat. I will rend your soul from your very flesh and bone-" But then she noticed the pin was flashing. It then blew up and sent her flying. She quickly re-oriented herself. Mira then said, "I think we're going to win this." Indumati stood determined, holding her staff and glowing with bright moonlight under the darkened night. Lumina Night's brow bleed from being struck. However, Lumina Night only smiled a wide smile and said, "Enough games." She then cast the entire field in darkness that poured out of her body that caused Indumati and Mira to become swallowed in an infinite void. And then it started to swallow them up in a sphere of red and black glowing magic that caused them to collapse, and then Lumina Night summoned a giant dark wolf of black magic that came to swallow them up, which threatened to consume them as the two heroes felt paralyzed as their legs felt like jelly and tripping out on the hallucinations of the darkness that invaded their mind with voices and caused them to be so dizzy and frightened that Mira quickly vomited and Indumati tripped over her own legs as the attack closed in. Lumina Night laughed harshly, with her victory assured. But then, suddenly, a giant pizza cutter moved in on Lumina Night and sliced into her arm, and caused her spell to break. Then she got hit with a blast of digital flames from Odyzseia's Flower of Flame that caused Lumina Night to shield herself with her wing. Pazoni then came to help Indumati up and asked, "Are you two okay?" Odysseia then guarded the two heroines and drew a digital sword and then said, "We heard about the trouble over here, so came running right away." Lumina Night, seeing that she was outnumbered and seeing that the team of heroes against her were gathering courage against her, then said, holding her wounded arm. "Not bad. However, I think I'll withdraw for now. After all, I have far bigger plans and I can easily beat you at any time." Odysseia then said, "That's what you think!" And she fired a mega blaster shot from her right arm with a brilliant blue shot. However, Lumina already headed into the portal into the Nightmare World. And the shot missed her as she narrowly got away. Indumati then said, "She…got away." Mira then said, "Indumati? Who is Lumina Night? Why did she want to kill you?" Indumati then said, "It's…a long story. One that isn't pleasant." Odysseia then said, "Umm…I don't think we should be hanging around." The police sirens could be heard in the distance. Pazoni then said, "Yeah, we should get out of here and discuss things later." Indumati agreed, and took the 3 heroines with her to The Moon. As Ruff Cuffem and his team showed up, they found the battlefield filled with chaos, with clear signs of the use of powerful magic arts that burned and scorched the area, and found the burned up remains of the Agrippa, which still had residue of Lumina's magic attached to it, which made the officer feel very uneasy being near it. One of the rookies than said, "Hey, so what are we dealing with, exactly?" Ruff then said, "Get the security footage from nearby. We need a more clear picture-and evidence-of what exactly happened." Which later, revealed the whole magic duel, with the red eyed woman, who used the Agrippa to attack the white bat winged women and Mira Belle. He was wondering, "What did you two get mixed up in this time?" He then looked at Lumina and tried to get a read on her, but her evil eye activated in her picture and struck him with a wave of fear that made his head hurt and caused him to nearly collapse and fell faint…He then said, "Yeah, that is quite a powerful true art…whatever that is. I guess whatever image is of that red-eyed woman with black bat wings has a bit of it. I will have to tell the boys to be careful…" In truth, he was worried, especially about that affect. Who knows what effects it had or why the village left it in the video? He would have to get someone to dispel the magic, just to be safe.
Meanwhile, in the Church of Protagonism's base in St. Joan, Knightwatch and his Squire appeared before Father Dual's shadowy figure in dark robes before the knight-armor clad duo. The Squire then said, "Father, why are the daemons just disappearing? Like what happened on the bridge that knight, and what happened before we could arrive at the scene in the Arcade?" The father, however, then said, "Well, what do you make of it?" Knightwatch then said, "A daemon called them "Ewahs" and has been entering people's minds, claiming to suppress them, however, I think they're forcing them back inside of the infected targets." Father Dual then said, "Then you should capture those infected. Especially that clown who has sided with the daemon. After all, such a vulnerable young soul is being drawn into a dangerous world." The Squire then said, "Is it possible it's mind control? Or that the Daemons are using her as a pawn to carry out their will?" Father Dual then said to her, "Then you know what you must do. And what always must be done once someone becomes a vector for evil. After all, how do we know it won't happen again?" The Squire then said, "But it hasn't-" Father Dual then said, "There's always a risk when it stops that it could come back. Besides, only the goddess can truly remove them. And only the goddess is the true light. Not this strange fairy bearing the moonlight flying on the wings of a daemon." Knightwatch then said, "Then we should try and stop her. To stop the Daemon's plans." Father Dual then said, "Head out. And hurry. I feel as if time is of the essence." The two stood after kneeling and made the sign of the goddess and headed out into the world, on the trial of Indumati, whom, for all they knew, was a strange entity who clearly had something to do with the daemon outbreaks, as she was there when two of them happened. And they were concerned with the growing idea she was a hero for suppressing them. It's possible, according to Father Dual, that Indumati might be trying to establish herself as a hero who can do that to supplant the goddess in the name of the dark lord. The Squire gripped her spear. Next time she met that white-winged daemon, she would defeat her for sure.
Meanwhile, at the top of a large building operated by S.I.N, who touted itself as the "number one source of trusted news." In the shadow, a government agent in a dark suit was watching the events that had happened at the library alongside a giant glowing holographic head of an AI they had built years and years ago to deal with the "cold war." The glowing head, who was known as "The Great Evil Talking Head" then said, "A terrorist attack?" The shadowy government figure then said, "It seems the city is getting more violent and dangerous as of late. However, I think…we should watch and wait before deciding anything. After all, we need more of a story first." The Great Evil Talking Head then said, "Headline, "Mysterious Vigilantes Stop a Terrorist Attack?" The government official then said, "For now, sure. However, I think I'll have my boys look into it." The Great Evil Talking Head than said, "The Prez condemns violence and vigilantism." The man nodded and said, "For the glory of The Party." The Great Evil Talking Head then responded, laughing and going nuts. "For the glory of The Party…future president."
Meanwhile at Octopus 8's lair, a loud obnoxious bike gang broke through the front door and quickly surrounded The Knave and the Queen of Fools before them. Mike then said, "Knave, buddy! It's been forever! So what do we owe the pleasure? We here to throw down?" The Knave then said, "Actually, I and the benefactor of our little group here would like to partner with you, of course. Since we all have greater problems that have disrupted our operations…such as your attempt to expand territory recently, no?" Mike then said, "True, those magical girls were annoying. Hmm…but what's in it for me?" The Queen of Fools then said, "Well, if we all partner up, it will help us unite and become a strong front against our mutual problems, which means more money and power by cooperating rather than being at odds, no?" Then, front the windows above, a bunch of bats came down and turned into vampires, and one of them turned into a young vampire with spiky hair who took out a comb and combed his hair. Mike then said, "Hey hey hey, who invited you?" Count Edgeworth than said, "Ah, Mike…of course you're here." However, Count Edgeworth wasn't pleased. Mike then said, "What? What's with that look?" Count Edgeworth smiled and sneered and said, "Look, the reason I'm here is to get what I want, and of course, you guys will be useful for that. After all, you, Knave, and The Queen of Fools there do operate certain…ventures which can help with that." The Queen of Fools then said, "Is that so? It wouldn't happen to be about that one girl you're obsessed with, would it?" Count Edgeworth then said, "Ah, there's so many cute hunies these days, ya know? Why, they're causing problems, I want to be a problem for them, and maybe…have them for myself once you guys are done doing whatever it is you do with them. After all, you guys have abilities that can help with that." The Knave then said, "In that case, permit me one thing-that I deal with that Indumati personally and take what makes her tick and what her dreams are. You can do whatever later." Count Edgeworth shook his hand and laughed, "Okay okay, whatever." Mike then said, "And me?" Count Edgeworth then said, "You don't mind handling the transport and being some muscle, do ya?" Mike then said, "True true, but I want me some of that too." The Queen of Fools then said, "You'll have plenty if you keep up your part." However, she wasn't quite feeling it. As she felt…maybe they needed further insurance. And may want to not take unacceptable risks. As these guys were clearly a bunch of idiots thinking of themselves and their weird desires and petty vengeance. She wondered if The Benefactor would be pleased at all with it…though he, whoever he was, wanted to take care of the hero problem too. So she privately went off later and made a phone call. She then said, "Hello, Mistress Vennin? It's time to call in a favor from the Fangs of Orochi. Yes, of course you'll be paid well. I want you to take out Indumati…" She then proceeded to talk about everything, and then said, "Also, did you receive the invitation? It would be profitable for all of us if you cooperated." Vennin hissed on the other line and laughed and said, "Sure sure, sounds easy enough. You'll have it. Yesss, of course the Knave can't know, that's fine. And of course, we'll join the group, for now. After all, your Benefactor is offering a lot of money to us to help them out with their work." Shortly after the call ended, The Queen of Fools sighed. Little did she know that Count Edgeworth was listening, and rather upset, so he decided he would lead his own little more…private attack on Indumati. After all, it should be a simple thing to make a hero his thrall. He had done it several times already with former members of the Big-League Association anyway that "disappeared".
Meanwhile, on the moon…Indumati came into the Palace of Dreams and hugged her mom as she came inside. Luna then said, "Indumati? What's wrong? You seem…distraught and overly affectionate." Odysseia and Pazoni soon came inside and made themselves at home. Odysseia then said, "Nice place, but a bit bare and missing some entertainment. Hey, Indumati, how about I set up some stuff for ya? You don't mind, right?" Indumati then said, "Sure." Mira then said, "Hey so, who is Lumina Night." Indumati and her mom looked very sad. Stella, however, then said, "Lumina Night…so you've encountered her. Listen, she's a very bad lady who's responsible for the massacre of The Arcs…and why me and Indumati live up here, on the moon, by ourselves." Mira Belle then said, "That sounds rough…how long have you been up here?" Indumati then said, "Almost 30 years…" Pazoni then said, "Hey, so…this is heavy for you guys, huh? How about relaxing and having some pizza and soda while we talk, ya?" Stella then replied, "What's a "pizza" and "soda?" Pazoni smiled and said, "You'll love them, they're the best, and I bet I can make your favorite." Indumati then said to Luna, "Lumina Night mentioned looking for something…something she hasn't found. Which is why she attacked a library for magic books and even turned into Agippa into a Nightmare Beast." Luna then thought for a moment and then said, "Sounds like Gray the Great Wizard might know…after all, I suspect it is The Book of Creatures she's looking for." Mira then asked, "Err…what is that?" Luna then said, "A book that is a seal of conceptual level. It is what normally blocks Ewahs from outbreaking all over the world. Otherwise, they pour out endlessly all across every reality." Indumati then said, "So…when Lumina Night was using her magic to cause smaller scale outbreaks…" Luna then said, "It's easy for someone with strong magic to trigger a reaction like that, but if she got her hands of the Book of Creatures, it could be catastrophic." Indumati then took a sip of soda from a glass Pazoni provided for her and said, "So, what's her goal?" Luna then said, "A small step towards the revival of Lilith." The whole room fell silent. Mira then said, "The Queen of Evil? Who is sealed in the red moon?" Luna then said, "The very same. Lumina Night wishes for the Queen of Evil to be free…and needs keys to be able to do so. And guess where one of the keys is?" Indumati then said, "In…St. Joan?" Luna then said, "Oh no, you're thinking too small. It's in the Collective Unconscious." Odysseia then said, "And she wants to cause a devastating mass Ewah outbreak al over the universe…just for one of the keys?" Luna then said, "And there will be other incidents to follow." Indumati slammed her hand on the table. "In that case, I should have been stronger! I shouldn't have let her get away and-" Mira however, held her hand tight and said, "It's okay, calm down. Panic and fear is what she wants, remember?" Indumati then said, "And if she gets that book, she'll succeed and-" Luna then said, "Mira's right, calm your nerves. After all, acting rashly and on emotion will only get you killed." Odysseia then finished setting up a special game as a "training" model and said, "Indumati, how about playing this for a bit? You can train here and grow stronger on enemies you've already fought." Indumati then said, "Wait really?" Odysseia then said, "I use it myself back home to help practice true arts. A bit of practical experience will go a long way." Indumati agreed, and the 4 had a beautiful game night, dealing with the various enemies they fought and practicing against digital entities to grow stronger. Indumati then said, "Really nice. Thank you, Odysseia." Odysseia then said, "Of course, I'll set up the consoles so we can play regular games together." Pazoni then said, "And I think I'll set up shop here and give you guys a bunch of pizza and drinks, on the house. After all, what goes well with game night than soda and pizza?" Mira Belle liked this and took to it well. Indumati smiled a bit. She liked her new friends. Later, Luna took Indumati aside to go vist her old teacher…Gray. You see, Gray had taught her so many basic skills and history, and his spirit, that of an ancient hero, was waiting. His office in Luna's Dream-Space was waiting. He had on a gray trenchcoat and hat and looked like an older yet handsome man. He then said, "Indumati, I assume you're here about The Book of Creatures?" Indumati then said, "I am. So…what can you tell me?" Gray then took out a green blank covered book with a prism in it and said, "I will teach you it's secrets…and pass on my secret of power to you. It's a big one that I used back in the Tulpa War. Are you ready?" He imparted a mysterious spell that Indumati didn't understand and said, "That spell will come in handy in due time. Now, for the secret…" He took the prism out of the book, and it floated and shone with a fiery light and glowed with a mysterious light that revealed itself to be a girl, a half-phoenix like girl, trapped inside the crystal, sleeping a deep sleep of 1000 years, who stretched as she woke up and gazed upon Gray and Indumati and said, "Is the appointed time upon us?" Gray then said, "It is. Have you recovered your power?" Phoebe then said, "Almost all of it. However…I cannot wait, can I? In that case, what about that girl there? I sense strong magic from her." Phoebe turned to Indumati and then said, "Let us create a Bond within our Psyches, if you please." Indumati was cautious about this. Phoebe then said, "Come on, would Gray lie to you? You know him well, right?" Indumati agreed and opened her heart to Phoebe. Phoebe's gem then suddenly flew towards Indumati and latched into her chest and bonded with her heart, and Phoebe could feel the glow of the moon, the height of magic and sorcery, glow around her, and fuel her rebirth faster and faster as she shared power with Indumati in return. Phoebe then began to manifest in reality, becoming a beautiful dancer in orange and red and gold, with a beautiful comely appearance, and brilliant wings that glowed with a shining light and flame like a Phoenix. Indumati then asked, "What are you? Who are you?" Phoebe then said, "I am that which is the daughter of the Great Elemental Lord Phoenix, Phoebe. And you are…Indumati, correct?" Indumati then said, "I am known as that, yes." Phoebe then said, "I have become bound to you. My form is like that of a Tulpa now, before it has manifested fully, and I have become a part of you." Indumati tried to put her hand in her, but her hand went through. Phoebe then said, "My physical form was destroyed long ago and I had to be sealed away in the Prism of Light to be reborn due to a conflict I once took part in, however, I will do my best to be your friend." Indumati then said, "I welcome it, Phoebe." Phoebe then said, "I will feel what you feel, see what you see, experience what you experience." Indumati then said, "And how long will that last?" Phoebe then said, "Until I can manifest properly once again into reality." Indumati then said, "I will do my best for you than, Phoebe. Now…shall we go downstairs and enjoy the rest of our night, together, as one?" Phoebe then said, "I would be delighted!" And so, they went down, together, Phoebe going into Indumati's heart and enjoying the rest of the night, together, as one, on the shining silvery moon overlooking the earth below.
