Chapter 1 - Chapter 1:Fate Changer

The office was completely empty, but in one room, the light was still on. Inside the room, the table was filled with different documents.

Tap Tap Tap

The sound of typing was ongoing. A man in his early 20s was working. The man stopped writing; he was 5 feet 10 inches tall. His long dark brown hair was tied into a knot of ponytail. His hazel eyes were focused on the computer screen. He had an average build and oval, wheatish brown skin.

"All the work is done."

He closes the computer and leans back in his chair.

"If I had not been forced by my parents to learn CA, I would never be getting this overtime work."

He opens his mobile. There was a message on his WhatsApp account. He opens the message.

Sir, we have not found the woman mentioned in the missing report you filed 2 years ago. Our team searched with all our resources, and we also involved a detective, but we were unable to find any trace of her disappearance. Our team believes it is the work of an underworld kidnapping. We have come to the conclusion that we will stop searching for the woman, and you should also cease your search for her.

The man sighs. He opens his gallery. In the photo, there are different notes, photos, and papers related to the search report. He is trying to find a small trace, but he has not been able to find anything. He goes to a picture that is different from the search photos.

It was a photo of a woman in the hospital. She was sitting on the hospital bed, smiling towards the camera. She was 5 feet 4 inches tall, with jet black long hair, a diamond-shaped face, amber eyes, and light caramel brown skin. One of her hands was on her belly, which was swollen getting big. She was pregnant with a child.

The man's eyes became watery.

"Vedika, it was the last photo I took of you. It was the day of your delivery. In the morning, I had taken this photo and went to work. It's been 2 years now, but still, there is no trace of you. On that day, where did you disappear to? From the doctor, I found out you disappeared before your delivery, leaving nothing. Are you still alive? Are you playing with our child?"

He slammed the table; the table turned to ashes. He looked at the ashes.

"I should resign now and join the military again. The reason I stopped working in the military was because of Vedika."

"Swami, isn't the humiliation too much for you in the company? It's better if you stop working as a CA and why don't you open a restaurant? I will also help you."

The scene flashed in the man's mind. He recalled the things Vedika had said when she came to the company to give him the tiffin she had made and saw how humiliating the staff was towards him. She just wanted a happy family life, so she suggested opening a restaurant when she mentioned his cooking skills.

He had decided to resign after her delivery. But now, she was nowhere to be found.

"There is no need to join the military again. I will open a restaurant and start cooking food for customers."

An unknown message appeared on his phone. He looked at the message. The message had only ???? as the address or name of the sender.

'Should I check the message or not? Let it be; I will check.'

Raghunandan was closely watching for the message to appear. His face was perplexed.

"There is no scam message or your account got emptied or your personal details have been taken by us. There is no blackmailing. What is going on?"

A light began to appear from below. When he looked below, he saw a magic circle. In the split second, he disappeared from the office room. There was complete silence. The telephone began to ring, but there was no one to answer.
