Around 10 pm in the evening a 18 year girl with a shoulder length hair covered in bandages and wearing simple trousers and a black t-shirt could be seen walking back home , it seems she was coming back from the hospital . She stops in front of a grand mansion and hesitates before stepping in .
The minute she walks in she gets hit by a glass cup on the head , it shatters leaving her forehead bleeding and make her pale complexion even lighter which made frighteningly stark contrast to the blood dripping from her forehead .
She looks at the culprit who had thrown the cup at her it was her father who seems angry for some reason unknown to her .
" HOW DARE YOU COME BACK HOME AT SUCH AN HOUR ? , ARE YOU TRYING TO DISGRACE THIS FAMILY ? " shouted the Father in anger and burning rage .
" I-I was in the hospital " stammered the girl as she tries to explain what happened but her father and the other people seemed unconvinced .
" Sister I know you are scared of our parents knowing about the drugs and men you have been sleeping with but I can't watch you destroy yourself any longer so please stop lying and let them help you " said a girl who was acting pitiful wiping her tears acting like she cared for the girl she was talking to .
" You- what are you talking about , I don't understand what you mean , I never did any drugs or sleep with any men " said the girl with a shocked look as she tries to deny the false accusation that was thrown at her .
" Behaving clueless again , I can't understand why I have someone like you as my biological sister " said a young man with disgust etched in his voice .
" Brother you- " the girl was a bit stunned by his statement but didn't say anything as she was used to it even though he had never said it out loud , she just didn't expect him to say it out loud now .
" Yu Shi , listen to me very carefully we have given you enough chances to make things right you never seem to take , so you must pack your bags and leave this house at once " said a woman in her forties
" I-fine I'll leave " said Yu Shi as if accepting her fate as she turns to go pack her bags while the others looked shocked that she had said yes .
Yu Shi thought back to the time when she first came to this family , she had been full of high hopes of having a family who'd care for her and a family she could rely on , only to get slapped with reality each time as the family shows they don't love her at all and they only thought of her as a liability .
After she was done packing the few meager belongings she had brought with her , she looks around one last time surveying her surroundings , even her room was just a storage room with a small window and a little fan compared to the adopted sister's princess room which had been specifically decorated for her , it just shows that the family did not like her and did not want her to come back and had only brought her back to avoid rumors of people saying they had abandoned their biological child but doted on the adopted child .
A faint smile appeared on her lips.
'…I was so stupid to have thought I could actually be loved ' Yu Shi thought with a wry smile .
Snapping out of her thoughts , Yu Shi moves forward to leave the room as she tries to open the door to leave the room she finds it locked .
Yu Shi paused.
Tried again.
Still nothing.
Locked.
Her grip tightened.
"…Hello? "
No answer .
She knocked .
Then harder .
"Open the door."
Silence.
Something felt wrong .
She pounded the door .
" OPEN IT! " Yu Shi shouted panicked .
Nothing .
Meanwhile , Yu Shi biological Father could be seen discussing with her biological Mother " I can't believe that ungrateful child after everything we have done she dares to agree to leave this house " said Father Qiu with anger in his voice .
" Don't worry honey , after a few days of starvation I am sure she will come to her senses " said Mother Qiu as she comforted Father Qiu while anger flashed in her eyes towards Yu Shi .
A week later , Father Qiu and Mother Qiu had forgotten about Yu Shi that they had locked away as they never really paid close attention to her presence in the house and couldn't have cared less where she was .
All this was because of the adopted daughter who had taken their attention away from Yu Shi's matter entirely , though it was always like that , they would forget about Yu Shi as they only had eyes for their adopted daughter .
And Yu Shi did not have any friends in school as she was always quiet and on her own due to her adopted sister isolating with lies of things she never did making the teachers and students hate her , so no one noticed she was not in school .
Yu Shi who was locked in her room for a week straight with no food or water , had died a slow and painful death of hunger , malnutrition and dehydration , as she breathes her final breath she thought about how her life turned out , how she never got to do the things she always wanted , how she had always lived her entire life trying to survive , trying to please others and how naive she was to think she could ever be loved .
Time passed.
She didn't know how long .
Hours.
Then longer.
Her throat dried.
Her body weakened.
Her voice disappeared.
Yu Shi closes her eyes falling into a sea of darkness , soon she felt light as if she had finally been relived from the all the burdens that had always weighed her down .
Suddenly Yu Shi opened her only to see her emaciated and pitiful form laying on the ground cold and clearly dead . She looks down and sees herself transparent and floating , it seemed she had truly died .
" I died "
She laughed at her fate but soon quiet down as she accepted her fate and the circumstances she had found herself in .
She phases the through the door of the room or cage that had kept her locked in this world till her last breath and starts to wander aimlessly around the house , soon she reaches the living room and sees her parents , her brother and her adopted sister who were having dinner like a happy family but felt strangely calm as if she no longer cared whether her parents and her brother treated her and the adopted daughter differently .
Feeling tired of watching the nauseating scene she decides to try and leave the mansion hoping to explore the outside world only to find that she couldn't make it past the gate due to being bound to where she had last died and was thrown back into her room or she would like to say the starting point .
" It seems I will never be able to leave this horrid place " Yu Shi said with a sad but resigned sigh as she decides to just accept her fate and spend her days sleeping in her room or wondering around the mansion .
During this period of time , Yu Shi got to see how much her so-called biological family couldn't care less about her life as they had forgotten she was locked in her room , it had already being 3 weeks but the Qiu couple had never cared to remember to check up on her forgetting her existence entirely , leaving her dead body to slowing rot away .
