With great power comes great responsibility
Several days passed. The plan to fight the Heirs was almost complete. Spider-2099 and Noir arrived on Earth-163 with the aim of studying in detail the universe in which Spider-Man was able to kill Morlan for the first time. They were also interested in Octopus, whose abilities could be useful in the fight against vampires.
While the Spiders from other universes were getting used to this one, Peter and Jess defended New York from crime. A new day brought a new report of an armed attack involving superpowers.
"Who's it this time?" Peter asked.
"I think it might be Shocker or Electro," suggested Drew.
The heroic partners flew to the scene and within five minutes found themselves near a frozen construction site, where they indeed found Shocker and Electro, as well as the Green Goblin, Peter's old enemy, with a bunch of thugs. Spider-Man was the first to engage in combat. Flying through the crowd on his web, Parker knocked out seven at once. Jess was not far behind. Octopus also joined the heroes.
"Hey, how's it going? Did anyone try to get into your bed last night?"
"Go away, you arthropod," replied Octavius, knocking out a thug with his tentacle.
"Whoa, watch your language. You never know...
Spider-Girl knocked out the last criminal without using her superpowers. The trio fought side by side as if they were the best team in the world. Everything was going well, but at one point Peter failed to catch the Goblin's pumpkin bomb, and it exploded in front of the heroes. The wave threw Peter and Octavius back, slightly grazing them, while Jess, who dodged the shrapnel, fell into the hands of the sinister Goblin.
"Say goodbye to your girlfriend, Parker! Ha ha ha ha ha!
"Jess, no!
Peter screamed, but it was too late... Goblin pierced Spider-Girl's stomach with the blade on his wrist. He threw Jess, bleeding profusely, to the ground. She was choking on her own blood, the wound was so serious that no one could have survived it. Peter rushed to Jessica, trying to do something, but it was all in vain... He took the mask off her lifeless body and looked at her beautiful face for the last time... He had lost everything.
And at that moment, something clicked in Parker's head. He laid Jess's dead body on the ground and stood up. Spider-Man went into battle.
"Stop!" Octavius called out to him.
"Go to hell," Peter replied dryly.
He jumped on the Shocker and began to beat his "empty" head with all his might. Peter tore the gloves off Schultz, activated them, put them on himself, and finished off the Shocker with a powerful discharge. Electro was next. Octavius watched with wide eyes, unable to believe what was happening.
"What are you doing?! Stop!
But Peter didn't listen. He sent Max Dillon to the afterlife. Next was Goblin. However, he managed to escape on his glider. Noir and 2099, whom Octavius had called for backup, arrived on the scene, but it was too late.
Thus, the Bloody Spider was born. No one knows how he got his name, but it suited the new Peter perfectly.
Later. It was raining. Spiders from different universes came to see Jessica off on her final journey. Peter remained steadfast, according to others, but his soul was breaking. He thought he was incapable of loving anyone else... He had lost Gwen. MJ had left him, and now Jess... Peter left the suit he had given her next to her. He left. The spiders understood him, so they didn't stop him. In just five days, New York lost three of its heroes. Dark times were coming.
