As soon as the pancakes hit the table I began devouring them, not leaving a single one. Orus had pouted for a while that he wanted meat, but in the end he had shut up and began eating the food, not that by then there was much left.
" Someone's really hungry" Jack said with a smile, looking at me with love in his eyes.
" You didn't have to stay on a room that smelled of death and weed"
" Weed, really?" Orus raised his eyebrow as he picked up a pancake and shoved it all into his mouth, just like how I did it.
" Really. You wouldn't know but my teacher smokes weed every three seconds. The whole class reeked"
" Oh, Mister John!" Mark nodded, as if understanding had dawned on him.
Orus and Jack stared at Mark and then they too began nodding.
" Yeah, I don't know his name. I call him Mister weed"
Jack snorted so much that water went out of his nose and splattered everywhere.
" Gross!" I took a napkin and cleaned all the booger water from where it had fallen on my shirt, but in truth I was smiling.
Jack smiled at me and took a peck without me noticing. Then he went back to his seat as if nothing had happened.
I giggled and got back to my pancakes.
The dinner went on without any other incidents and after finishing it we took a stroll all over the town, where Ruan stopped every five seconds to point at something. He was beginning to drive me mad and had made me think about my no killing rule more than once.
" What's that?" Ruan asked for the hundredth time.
I looked to where he was pointing and saw a washing machine. He was pointing at a washing machine. Again!
" I already told you it's a washing machine" My patience was beginning to run out after how much he had asked, and instead of being useful, which they'd die if they were, my guys just laughed every time a vein was about to pop off in my forehead from the annoyance.
" And that?" Ruan pointed to a fountain.
I glared at him, and then I looked at all the machines sorrounding us and started walking towards the castle.
" Where are we going?" Jack, who was grabbing my hand, asked.
" Back!" I screamed loud enough for Ruan, who was now staring at a microwave, to hear.
He sighed but followed us to our room.
Once inside I took of my clothes and put on my pijama in record time. After I was dressed in my pijama I took Fluffy, who was in my closet for a strange reason I rather not think about, and went to Jack's room.
His room had officially become our room. It had the biggest bed and was the fluffiest and softest too, so that was it. His room was mine now.
As I was going to enter the room, where Orus and Mark already were, Jack had said he had to take a call and had gone outside, Ruan winked his eye at me before entering his new room.
I turned the handle as my mind went a thousand miles per hour. What had that wink meant? Did it mean he was going to do something untoward? Did it mean he had finally found a way to drag me back to Jinasia?
Now that I thought about it, why hadn't he done that yet? He was powerful enough to just drag me around however he wanted, and yet here he was, listening to what I said when he could just grab me and go. Why?
I entered the room not knowing what to think, hugging Fluffy tightly into my chest.
" Today you sleep with me" Jack said, nuzzling against me the moment I entered.

" No!" Orus grabbed onto me and made me topple over with his momentum, throwing us both to the floor, where I fell on top of him.
" What are you doing?" I chuckled.
Orus grabbed my head and placed it closer to his, as if he was about to kiss me. My heart began beating faster and my skin went on fire as I looked at him, his eyes trailing my skin and sending shivers wherever they landed. His gaze was heavy with lust as he took me in.

As I held Lyan between my arms all I wanted to do was kiss her, press our lips together and taste her sunshine fragrance.

Lyan
It was the middle of the night and I was sleeping peacefully when someone shook my shoulder and woke me up. I had been sleeping peacefully and now I wasn't. What the fuck was going on? Who had the guts to wake me up in the middle of the night?
I groaned and turned around, ready to sleep again, but the hand kept shaking me.
I opened my eye to glare and whoever had touched me and saw Ruan trying to touch me lightly while avoiding all my guys.
Oh fuck! We were going to get the gem today. How could I have forgotten?
I swore internally and got up carefully trying not to wake them up. I managed to do it thanks to them having very deep sleep and when I finally managed to get out I was so happy I wanted to jump up and down.
" Let's go" I whispered, holding Ruan's hand.
He smiled and teleported us right outside the room. That was right. Ryan didn't know where we were going. Only I did.
" The forest"
Ruan titled his head in confusion, but nodded, teleporting us to the middle of the forest.
From there I followed the path I had taken with Jinn back then, trying to remember it as well as I could, not having high hopes.
" Are you sure you know where we're going?"
Ruan was becoming annoying. He wouldn't stop asking that time and time again, even if I was taking a path that no one, not even I knew of, although to be fair I didn't even know where I was and I had seen the same tree four times already.
" Then try to do better" I crossed my arms. I was doing my best at remembering in the middle of the night while I was frozen to my core and wearing my pijama. Let's see him do better.
" What are we looking for?" Ruan asked smugly.
" An invisible mountain"
I saw his eyes half close and snorted. That was right. There was no way he would know.
I was never, ever right.
Ruan just closed his eyes and felt around and not even a second later he smirked while choosing the opposite direction of what I would've chosen.
" This way" He said, his voice with too much energy for the hour it was.
I reluctantly followed, sure he would mess up, but as I had known deep down he didn't. It didn't even take us five minutes after he took charge to find the mountain and enter through the hidden cave.
" This way" I told Ruan as I took charge again. I could at least follow a path that only had one option, or so I hoped.
Ruan's face twisted more and more the deeper we went and when we finally reached the cave, with the shining gem embedded on the wall Ruan gasped and ran to it.
His hands shook as he grabbed it and seamlessly pulled it off, as if there was nothing holding it there. I stared at him with my mouth hanging open. I had tried to get it off with all my strength and it hadn't moved, not even the villains had managed to move it, and yet Ruan had only touched it and it had come off. What the fuck was going on?
" How did you do it?" I asked Ruan, coming closer to the gem and trying to grab it with my hands.
Ruan stared at me as if he didn't know me and then his gaze went from me to the gem and then to me again.
" Is this what you wanted?" He asked in a low tone as he twisted the gem, moving it up and down in his hands.
" Yes, now give it to me" I extended my hand in an order for him to give it to me, but Ruan just laughed in a really sad tone and stared at the gem.
" Do you know what this is?" He asked in a low tone.
Of course I knew what it was. It was a relic that had the power to make all your dreams come true. Everyone that liked history or was just ambitious knew about it.
" Of course I know. It's...." Before I could finish my sentence the sound of rustling leaves could be heard from outside.
I glanced at the exit, where shadows that hadn't been there before had appeared and then back at Ruan, holding the gem. This wasn't good.
" Let's go" I pushed Ruan, willing him to move and teleport us out of here before history could repeat itself, but he just stared at me and at the gem, not moving at all.
A shadow appeared at the entrance and I groaned. Great, just great. I called for my shadows and got into a fighting stance, my whole body in tension and ready to fight.
As soon as the figure came into view he looked at us and cast a spell, trying to hit us, but my shadows rose and stopped it in a second, attacking him and stabbing him right through the chest.
I stared at the blood pouring out of the wound and then I looked at my hands. I had killed someone. I was a murderer. My hands shook as I raised my shadows again, ready to strike again, but no one else came from the bloodied entrance. Only the corpse thrown in the middle was there, red blood all over the ground.
Ruan snapped his head my way and his eyes finally cleared out, as if he had reached a conclusion and finally knew what to do.
" Let's get out of here" He offered me his hand, but never let go of the gem he was holding on the other one.
I took his hand with my own shaking hands and we teleported back to another part of the forest as steps could be heard coming from the entrance. Just in time.
I turned to look at Ruan, who was once again staring at the gem and tried to take it, but he pushed me back and I fell into the hard ground.
" We had a deal" I said in between my clenched teeth. " You have to give it to me"
I felt like crying. I had killed a man. I had also killed when they had killed me back then, but in that situation I had been fighting for my life and now I hadn't been. It hadn't even been a conscious decision, it was just my shadows protecting me. That and the training that dad had put me through.
I took a deep breath and steadied myself. I had killed in self defense, and it would all be worth it once I had the gem and my family back.
Ruan stared at me and then at the gem.
" Do you really know what it is?"
" I told you I know"
Ruan clenched his teeth and strengthened his grip on the gem, small cracks forming all over it.
" What are you doing!!?" I screamed.
I ran up to him and held his hand, trying to pry his grip apart and get to the gem, but he was stronger. He wouldn't budge as I kicked him with all my strength and bit him, but he still didn't let go. As a matter of fact he held on tighter.
" Do you really hate your dad this much?" Ruan's tone had turned dark and he looked at me with disdain and hatred, much more so than how he had been looking at me all the time.
When I finally processed his words I stopped kicking for a second and glared at him. What the fuck did the gem that could give me my family back have to do with my dad? Surely he wasn't saying this because he thought that dad would be left out if I found my real family, but that couldn't be it. He had no way of knowing what I wanted to do with the gem. Then why exactly did he say that?
" What do you mean?" My voice got lower as I held his hand tighter, not letting go but stopping the violence for now.
" What exactly do you think this does?"
" That is an ancient relic. It can make all your wishes come true"
I watched Ruan's expression as his eyes got wider and he doubled over, clutching the gem as he laughed. What on earth did he think was so funny?
" You couldn't be more wrong" Ruan said as he got up.
He looked at me with pity instead of anger in his eyes and I looked at him with confusion on my face. Just what had I said for him to have such a personality change? What exactly did he feel pity for me for?
Ruan's eyes looked at me with affection before they turned to stare at the gem with hatred.
My stomach turned and my blood ran cold as I watched him looking at the gem, my only way to bring my family back, as if it was the enemy.
Ruan smiled at me before he pushed me back with all his strength and I collided against a tree, my back taking the blunt of the hit. I used my shadows as support and tried to get back up as fast as I could to run to where Ruan was staring at the gem in his hands.
" Stop!" I screamed.
I got up and ran to it, but Ruan looked at me and an awful breaking sound could be heard all over the forest as the shards of the gem spread all over the floor.
I watched in horror as Ruan opened his hand, now dripping with black blood and let the few remaining pieces fall to the ground.
I glared at him and run up to him, faster than he could see. Before he could react I raised my leg and kicked him on the crotch as hard as I could.
Ruan made a little pained cry and clutched his crotch as he stared at me, hatred in his eyes.
I stared back, ready to start a war. I was never going to forgive him from taking my only chance of ever seeing my family again away from me. I launched at him with my shadows ready just as he got back up, his eyes red with fury. I guessed that made two of us.
