Secrets from the Past
After escaping the bridge, Victor stopped near an old warehouse.
The place was quiet.
Ryan crossed his arms.
"You still owe us answers."
Victor sighed.
"Fine."
He pulled out an old photograph.
Ariba looked at it.
The photo showed three men standing together.
One of them was Ariba's father.
The second was Victor.
And the third…
Ariba had never seen before.
"Who is he?" she asked.
Victor replied quietly.
"That is The Architect."
Ryan leaned closer.
"Do you know his name?"
Victor shook his head.
"No one knows his real name."
Ariba stared at the photo.
"But my father knew him."
Victor nodded.
"And that's why he died."
Ariba felt anger rising again.
"Then we'll expose him."
Victor looked serious.
"It won't be easy."
Suddenly Ryan's phone vibrated.
A message appeared.
Unknown number.
Ryan opened it.
His face turned pale.
"What is it?" Ariba asked.
Ryan slowly showed the phone.
The message said:
"Stop searching for the Architect…
or the next funeral will be yours."
The message also contained a photo.
A photo of Ariba.
Taken just minutes ago.
Someone was watching them.
