The Hidden Truth
The tunnel was long, dark, and suffocating.
Water dripped from the ceiling, echoing like a ticking clock.
Ariba walked silently, her mind still stuck in what had just happened.
Lena… the Architect… the betrayal.
Nothing felt real anymore.
Ryan broke the silence.
"We need to find a way out of here before they track this tunnel."
Victor, walking ahead, replied calmly,
"They already know this route exists."
Ariba looked up.
"Then why aren't they following us?"
Victor stopped for a second.
"That's what worries me."
Silence fell again.
Then—
Lena suddenly raised her hand.
"Stop."
Everyone froze.
"What is it?" Ryan whispered.
Lena pointed forward.
A small metal door was embedded in the tunnel wall.
Old. Rusted. Almost invisible.
"That wasn't here before," Victor said.
Ariba stepped closer.
"It looks… hidden."
Ryan touched the surface.
"No handle. No lock."
Lena knelt down and brushed off the dust.
A small scanner appeared.
"Biometric lock," she said quietly.
Victor frowned.
"For a door inside a secret tunnel? That's not normal."
Ariba felt something strange.
A pull.
Like the door was calling her.
"I think… this place is connected to me."
Ryan looked at her.
"What do you mean?"
Ariba slowly placed her hand on the scanner.
"Only one way to find out."
Victor quickly grabbed her wrist.
"This could be a trap."
Ariba looked straight into his eyes.
"My whole life is already a trap."
For a moment, no one spoke.
Then Victor let go.
"Fine."
"Be ready for anything."
Ariba took a deep breath—
And placed her hand on the scanner.
For a second… nothing happened.
Then suddenly—
🔓 ACCESS GRANTED
Everyone froze.
Ryan whispered,
"It recognized you…"
The metal door slowly opened with a deep mechanical sound.
Cold air rushed out from inside.
Lena stood up slowly.
"This isn't just a random room."
Victor's voice dropped.
"This is something important."
Ariba stared into the darkness beyond the door.
Her heart was beating faster.
"I think…"
"…this is where the truth begins."
Without waiting, she stepped inside.
The others followed.
And behind them—
The tunnel light flickered once… then went out.
