Professor Myers's mouth fell slightly open. Recalling Chloe Sinclair's words, it all clicked into place.

After signing her leave request form in the office, she hurried over to the lab.
The device was now more than halfway complete, and the nuclear fusion reactor was beginning to take shape. However, the work grew more complex with each step, and Chloe Sinclair didn't trust anyone else with it, so she had been monitoring it closely.
As soon as she clocked in at the lab, Chloe Sinclair went to an office to change into a protective suit and goggles. Only after completing the decontamination process at the entrance did she step into the main laboratory area.
"Chloe, you're here?"
Nathan Trenton looked at Chloe Sinclair, a faint smile flickering in his eyes, though it was hard to see clearly through his thick goggles.
