Sonia Quincy was stunned.
Felix Preston frowned. "Is Jasper Linden investing personally?"
Evan Yates nodded. "He's investing in his personal capacity. It has nothing to do with Flynn Trading."
"…Why?" Felix Preston asked after a few seconds of silence, completely baffled.
"…W-Why?" Evan Yates was thrown by the question. After a moment of stunned silence, he burst out laughing. "Why else? Obviously, it's because he sees the commercial potential of our game."
"…" Felix Preston's brow furrowed even tighter. He didn't seem to think that was the case.
Logically, getting an investor should have been a good thing, especially since their studio was in desperate need of funding. But for some reason, when Felix Preston heard that Jasper Linden planned to invest a million personally, he didn't feel happy at all. On the contrary, he felt a subtle sense of anxiety.
