Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Home Got Raided

Bai Wanwan realized she wasn't wearing any clothes and quickly covered herself, squatting down.

"Thank you, thank you. I'm really fine, you don't need to worry about me."

"Mm."

After a soft hum, he walked a few steps ashore. Just as he was about to leave, he paused.

"The rainy season is coming. Females shouldn't enter the water carelessly. It's very dangerous if you catch a chill."

This time, after he finished speaking, he left without looking back.

Bai Wanwan shivered from the cold. She quickly wiped the water off her body with her hands and hastily put on her clothes.

When she looked up again, the male beastman was already far away.

His features were too distinct. Bai Wanwan didn't even need to search her memory carefully to confirm his identity.

"Host, that Beastman just now has good Talent. You can have your next litter of cubs with him and receive a considerable reward."

"He was heavily injured, and his Talent was destroyed..."

Bai Wanwan felt a pang of regret for him.

That Beastman's name was Xin Feng. His Father Beast was a powerful male from another tribe who had him with his Mother.

After Xin Feng grew up, he became the strongest Warrior in the Cat Clan Tribe.

With him on every hunt, they always returned with a full load.

For many years, not a single Beastman had starved to death during the snowy season.

But an accident happened five years ago.

The Hunting Team encountered an unprecedented Fierce Beast. Three males died. If Xin Feng hadn't bought the other Beastmen a chance to escape, the entire party would have been wiped out on that hunt.

But he also paid a terrible price for protecting the others.

When Xin Feng escaped back to the tribe, he was already severely injured. The Clan Witch tried every method possible and, after half a month of treatment, was barely able to save his life.

From then on, his face was ruined, and he lost his Talent.

The powerful male, once surrounded and adored by females, gradually faded from everyone's sight.

"With me here, what's there to fear? As long as you have this baby and use the reward to exchange for medicine, you can restore him to normal."

"That's so ridiculously overpowered. Is there anything you can't do?" Bai Wanwan's eyes sparkled.

'It said that if I earned enough Points, I could go back. Does that mean I could be resurrected even if I died?'

"As long as the Host has enough Points, you can even travel freely between parallel worlds."

"Really?"

Bai Wanwan was energized. If it was really that overpowered, then her current difficulties were only temporary.

There was still hope for her dream of a relaxed life.

The air here was fresh, the trees were lush and green, and the scenery was beautiful.

If there was no shortage of resources, and apparently no shortage of handsome men, living here for a lifetime seemed much happier than the cutthroat rat race of modern society.

A cold gust of wind blew past. Bai Wanwan shivered, wrapped her clothes tightly around herself, and headed home.

For the next few days, Bai Wanwan had a bit of a cold and started sneezing.

The two brothers, Xin Shan and Xin Yu, did show concern for her, but Bai Wanwan didn't need it.

She even found it a little annoying. The other day, Xin Yu had clearly shown that he liked Hu Ya.

But in the past three or four days, he had already tried to climb into her bed three times, irritating her to no end.

She had originally planned to let her two "tool men" help her with chores for a few more days, but now, she just wanted to send them away.

On this day, she was finally feeling a bit better and wanted to go for a walk to see if she could figure out a way to make her life easier during the winter.

She hadn't gone far when she heard people talking around a corner at the end of the path.

"Xin Shan, Xin Yu, have you really fallen for Bai Wanwan?"

Hu Ya said accusingly, tears streaming down her face.

Xin Yu put down the prey he was carrying. He wanted to step forward but held himself back, at a loss for what to do. "Yaya, I... My Father Beast won't let us be together."

Hu Ya looked up at him. "What about you? Do you want to be with me?"

Xin Yu pressed his lips together, his heart in turmoil.

He actually wanted to live a good life with Wanwan. He was in his mating season, but Bai Wanwan kept rejecting him.

"I want to... but I can't."

"Why not? If you agree, we can get mated right away."

Xin Yu was genuinely tempted and turned to look at his older brother.

Xin Shan's feelings were also complicated, but he still refused. "Yaya, you already have six Beast Husbands. Wanwan only has the two of us. Without us, she might not survive this snowy season."

"You're worried about her, but aren't you worried about me? I like you both. The thought of you two with her makes me so sad."

Seeing her tears, Xin Shan's heart softened.

Hu Ya threw herself into Xin Shan's arms, crying, "Bai Wanwan has always liked to steal things from me since we were little! She's only pestering you because I like you! She won't let you go! She's so hateful!"

'Go ahead and have an affair, but why make it a personal attack?'

Bai Wanwan was furious. She stepped out from around the corner.

When the two brothers, Xin Shan and Xin Yu, saw her, they were so startled they immediately pushed Hu Ya away.

"Wanwan..."

Xin Yu called out guiltily. Xin Shan was also annoyed with himself; he shouldn't have softened just now.

"Is the work done?"

She slowly walked closer, her arms crossed.

"Not yet. We'll go right now."

The two brothers shouldered the prey on the ground and quickly left the troublesome scene.

'Tool men should act like tool men. If they want to get tangled up with Hu Ya, they can't do it under my name.'

"Bai Wanwan, don't be so smug. Xin Shan and Xin Yu don't like you at all. They've only ever liked me, ever since we were little."

She expected to see Bai Wanwan fly into a rage, but instead, Bai Wanwan just smiled and said, "So what? It doesn't stop them from working for me."

Hu Ya was indignant. "You only have all this because the Clan Leader is biased."

Bai Wanwan's gaze swept up and down her face. "And shouldn't he be? My fertility is stronger than yours. Shouldn't he be biased toward me?"

Hu Ya was so angry her face turned red, but in the end, she couldn't say a word. She just shot Bai Wanwan a vicious glare and ran off.

Perhaps because she had lost face to Bai Wanwan, Hu Ya didn't confront her directly over the next few days.

Bai Wanwan was also busy—busy satisfying her own cravings.

After failing to catch any fish or shrimp that day, she started ordering the two brothers, Xin Shan and Xin Yu, to go into the water and catch fish for her every day after they returned from hunting.

She finally got to eat a few full meals.

In this era, the water wasn't polluted. Even the fish and shrimp were fresh, sweet, and delicious. They were so fragrant she couldn't stop eating, even without any seasoning.

After finishing the last piece of fish, Bai Wanwan patted her round, full belly. "Ah, this is great! It would be perfect if I could freeze all this fish, so I could eat it whenever I want."

The two brothers, Xin Shan and Xin Yu, watched from the side, unable to understand. Those "bugs" from the water were barely a mouthful, and some had bones that got stuck in your mouth. Why did the little female love eating them so much?

After eating and drinking her fill, Bai Wanwan went out for her new daily routine: a leisurely stroll.

The Xin Shan brothers also planned to go hunting in the mountains, but as soon as they stepped out of their stone cave, they were stopped by Hu Ya.

"Xin Shan, Xin Yu..."

"Yaya, do you need something?" Xin Shan stood his ground rationally, not moving any closer to her.

Hu Ya pursed her lips. "So I can't even come to see you now unless there's a reason?"

Xin Yu quickly waved his hands. "Yaya, my brother didn't mean it like that."

Only then did Hu Ya smile. "I wanted to ask you for a favor. My Beast Husbands have all gone up the mountain, and I can't move this by myself."

Before Xin Shan could speak, Xin Yu had already agreed. "Sure, we'll help you."

Xin Shan had no choice but to follow.

Hu Ya's stone cave was smaller than Bai Wanwan's, but the outer area was piled high with prey.

"Just help me carry it over there."

The two brothers bent down and lifted it together.

But after just a few steps, they both felt their bodies heat up.

Soon, Xin Shan realized something was wrong. A strong desire surged from his lower abdomen.

It was even more intense than his mating season.

Xin Yu's eyes turned red. "Yaya, I... I want..."

Hu Ya had administered the thorn flower with her own hands, so of course she knew what was happening.

"Xin Yu, whatever you want, I can give it to you."

Hu Ya walked toward the two brothers, step by step.

Xin Shan shook his head hard, trying to clear his mind. "Xin Yu, our Wife is Wanwan."

"No, I like Yaya."

When Hu Ya actively moved closer, both Xin Yu and Xin Shan succumbed to the effects of the thorn flower.

When Bai Wanwan returned from her stroll, she heard that things had started up again in the neighboring cave, even though it was broad daylight.

Beastmen didn't have many forms of entertainment, so this was a common occurrence in the tribe. She had run into it a few times while on her walks.

"Xin Yu, you're amazing!"

Bai Wanwan froze.

'Xin Yu?'
