Once Nina Donovan and Mrs. Donovan were the only ones left in the living room.
Mrs. Donovan wanted to check her for injuries.
"I'm fine," Nina Donovan said. "It doesn't hurt. It only hit my clothes; I'm not injured."
Mrs. Donovan wiped away her tears. "Why did you have to block that for her?"
"Then tell me why you were trying to hit her," Nina Donovan asked.
Mrs. Donovan was speechless, unable to give a clear answer.
"Since my sister didn't do anything wrong, she shouldn't be punished. She's finally home after so long. Please, Mom, don't drive her away again."
