Nina Donovan quickly lifted the little furball in her arms a bit higher to keep Miles Morgan from bumping into the kitten.
Its tiny body probably couldn't handle a bump like that.
The moment he saw the kitten, Miles Morgan instantly forgot all his grievances.
He looked on curiously. "This kitten is so dirty. Was it a stray living by the trash cans?"
Nina Donovan glanced down, then smiled at Miles Morgan. "Mhm, I found it by the trash cans. I thought it was cute, so I brought it home."
'Cute?'
Miles Morgan furrowed his brow, looking at the scrawny, skin-and-bones blue and white cat.
It took him a long moment to convince himself.
'Alright.'
'If Nina says it's cute, then it's cute.'
He quickly agreed. "What a beautiful kitten. Can we give it a bath later?"
The Morgan family bodyguard nearby: "..."
'I've seen it all now. The little hellion is starting to sweet-talk.'
'It's like the sun rising in the west.'
