The array for Tier Two Magic wasn't complicated. At least, according to the thick book, you only needed to carve a circle and then, inside the circle, an eye with three diagonal lines across its pupil.
After completing all this, Colin took out a dried radish to use as the Casting Material.
After placing the dried radish on the Crystal Plate, he closed his eyes and began chanting the Spell.
As the final syllable faded, Colin opened his eyes and looked down.
He could clearly see a faint, iridescent light seeping from between his fingers. It slowly dimmed until it vanished completely.
Colin felt a strange sensation in a part of his brain, similar to the feeling of Casting Magic.
It was as if the mental energy for Tier One and Tier Two Magic was drawn from different parts of his brain, and the energy for crafting equipment came from yet another, separate area.
