A muffled THUD startled the sleeping Fang Lingxin and Shui Qianrou awake.
Seeing the figure that had suddenly appeared in the room, Fang Lingxin was just about to make a move when she heard the SWISH SWISH SWISH of something cutting through the air from outside the window.
A piercing chill penetrated the window, filling the entire guest room.
