"Why not go in and see for yourself?" Apollo gave a mysterious smile. He stepped forward and pressed his palm to the ancient stone door, black energy swirling in his hand.
A thin golden film slowly materialized on the ancient stone door, resisting the black energy from his palm.
Apollo's expression remained unchanged as he simply increased his output of energy. Gold and black clashed, sending ripples spreading through the air.
Hua Ling's breath caught in her throat. She could clearly feel a tyrannical power enveloping her, making it difficult to breathe. She quickly ducked behind Gwenie, using her as a shield.
Gwenie shot her an expressionless glance, said nothing, and turned her gaze back to the ancient stone door. Forming a strange gesture with her hands, she released her own energy to assist Apollo.
The other Star Beasts followed suit.
Hua Ling glanced from one to the next and, not wanting to seem completely uncooperative, eventually contributed a token amount of effort.
