Tucker's movements were too swift. Before the surrounding Beastmen could react, they saw the scrawny male who had sidled up to him go wide-eyed, his body dropping to the ground with a THUD.
The Beastmen who had also been approaching out of curiosity: "!!!"
"Tucker! What are you doing! Why did you kill him?!"
"He isn't one of us," Tucker said, his expression grim as he met the shocked gazes of his kin. He kept his eyes fixed on the Beastman's corpse on the ground.
The next moment, the Beastman's corpse suddenly twitched, startling the others. "How is he still alive?!"
Then, fleshy tumors erupted from the Beastman's spine, and black tentacles writhed out from within them. At the same time, dense black scales spread across his skin.
In just a few seconds, the Beastman's corpse had transformed into an incredibly ugly, black Star Beast.
The Beastmen: "!!!"
