The red in Jinwei's eyes deepened. He took a deep breath, suppressing the violent jealousy surging within him. While Alek's attention was elsewhere, under the guise of fixing his hair, he snatched the small black mass.
He crushed it forcefully.
The small black mass went POOF, dissipating into a cloud of black mist, but its voice lingered. "Jinwei, you're angry, you're jealous. Did I hit a nerve?"
"You resent her for abandoning you, don't you?"
"Jinwei, how about we make a deal? You can lend me your body, or... I can lend you my power. You do one thing for me, and I'll help you... take her back. I'll make it so she only has eyes for you from now on."
Jinwei remained expressionless, ignoring the tempting voice that occasionally whispered in his ear. After receiving the Spirit Jade he needed to settle down from Alek, he slowly followed him out.
A young male leopard Beastman, who looked to have just recently come of age, followed closely at his side.
