In the Eastern Wilderness, a certain tribe was holding a sacrificial rite.
The Beastmen of the tribe were all exceptionally gaunt. They were little more than skin and bones, with ribs protruding from their torsos and sallow complexions. They looked as if they hadn't eaten in a very long time.
It hadn't rained in their lands for a long time. To make matters worse, the Hyena Tribe had settled nearby half a year ago. They came every night to harass them and abduct the tribe's females.
The stronger males were almost all injured from protecting the females, while the uninjured ones were too weak to hunt effectively, bringing back very little prey.
Last night, the leader of the Hyena Tribe had issued another threat: their leader was to send his daughter to their tribe. Otherwise, they would raze their entire village and turn all its people into Beast Slaves.
In their despair, their only hope was the Beast God.
