Re-forming a Knight's Will Badge was even harder than breaking through to Tier Four in the first place.
"Damned… Mercenary…"
The Round Table Conference, as the Holy Relic Legion's employer, knew a thing or two about the mercenaries they hired.
Ludwig recognized Yamabe Hiko instantly.
Being backstabbed by a mercenary your own faction hired was an extremely rare occurrence in the entire Cyber World.
This meant the Mercenary Corps would have to pay a massive penalty for breach of contract, not to mention lose a huge number of Black Market points.
Ludwig spat out a mouthful of blood and used the last of his strength to activate his Prosthetic Body, shattering the three shuriken just in time.
If only his Knight's Will Badge had shattered, he could have been saved.
But if those three shuriken had hit him, never mind him as the Eighth Seat Round Table Knight—even the Grand Knight Commander, MacLeod, would be killed instantly.
