After the difficult task of removing her makeup, Yang Lian'Er prepared to leave through her private passageway. She was so eager to see Wu Liangchen that she paid no attention to her surroundings.
Just as she pushed open the door to the passageway, someone darted out from the side, blocking her path.
"Miss Yang, Boss Yang, please wait, please wait!"
The man was in his early thirties, dressed in a brand-new Western-style suit. His hair was slicked back to a greasy shine, and he held a large bouquet of bright red roses. A wide smile was plastered across his relatively handsome face.
"Is there something?" Yang Lian'Er's voice turned cold. She was in a hurry to see Wu Liangchen and had no time to waste on a man like this.
The slick-haired man seemed oblivious to Yang Lian'Er's coldness. In fact, her speaking only made him more excited. He leaned in closer, and a wave of perfume mixed with the stench of alcohol washed over her, causing Yang Lian'Er to instinctively recoil.
