As Shen Yuan reached for the potato chips, his hand suddenly brushed against warm skin.
Li Zhi's hand was hovering over the chip bag, and Shen Yuan's had landed right on top of hers.
In the dim blue light, their movements froze into a silhouette.
Li Zhi instinctively tried to pull her hand back, but in that instant, Shen Yuan's fingers subconsciously tightened, gently clasping hers.
Li Zhi's heart hammered as she quickly tried to pull her hand back, but Shen Yuan didn't let go.
She glared at Shen Yuan.
"Let go!" Li Zhi's voice held a note of urgency.
Shen Yuan seemed to snap out of it then. He slowly released her hand, a sly smile appearing on his profile, half-hidden in the shadows.
"I didn't do it on purpose," he said in a low voice.
Seeing this, Li Zhi lightly kicked the leg of his desk and retorted, "If it wasn't on purpose, then why did you hold on?"
