A single word popped into Li Zhi's head.
'He... He didn't pass out, did he?'
After hesitating for a second, Li Zhi bent her finger and knocked lightly on the door.
The knock wasn't loud, but it triggered an unexpected commotion on the other side of the door.
"Who... Who is it?"
The voice was a mixture of obvious fright and a faint, heavy gasp. It was so rushed that it sounded as if the words had been squeezed out of a suddenly constricted throat.
Shen Yuan stared at the bathroom door, and then he heard Li Zhi's voice from the other side.
"Hey, are you, are you okay?"
Li Zhi's voice, filled with obvious nervousness and worry, seemed to come right through the crack in the door.
"If, if you're really... really not doing okay, um, I... I brought your phone. You... you can find some... material on it yourself?"
The moment he heard Li Zhi say this, Shen Yuan's breath hitched.
